"Oo-ooh-wai-ooh-wai?" A Tusken Raider stepped forward, speaking and gesturing wildly.
Amir looked at Cheyhun behind him.
"[We are from the town over there. We want to discuss the Krayt Dragon with you.]" Cheyhun said in the Tusken language.
The Tusken representative showed interest, and the others around him quieted down.
"[What do you want to do?]"
Cheyhun turned his head and gave Amir a confident smile that said, "Leave it to me," then continued:
"[We want to make a deal with you. We have decided to help you hunt the Krayt Dragon in exchange for peace between the town and you. If you agree, we need your knowledge of the Krayt Dragon.]"
"[Outsider, I don't think you can threaten the Krayt Dragon.]"
Cheyhun turned to Amir: "They don't think we can take down the Krayt Dragon."
Amir thought for a moment and said, "Just tell them we don't need their approval. Just tell me everything about the Krayt Dragon. If we succeed, the body is theirs, and we will no longer infringe on each other. If we fail, they lose nothing."
Cheyhun repeated the words.
The Tusken Raiders walked back, gathered together, and chattered for a long time. Soon, their chieftain walked over.
"[If you really intend to deal with the Krayt Dragon, all of us will help.]" The Tusken Raiders were very determined.
Cheyhun was excited hearing this and translated it for Amir and Wolf.
Amir was a little surprised. He didn't expect the Tusken Raiders to have such a deep hatred, or obsession, with the Krayt Dragon.
The mobilization of the entire tribe was a considerable help.
"[Come with us.]" The chieftain said to the three of them.
Amir followed the group to their camp.
"[What can you provide?]" The chieftain asked Amir.
With a translator, Amir communicated with him fairly easily.
"I can bring a large amount of explosives," Amir said. He could buy plenty of raw materials in Mos Eisley. It wouldn't take much time for Amir to create a batch of very powerful explosives, which were hard for the Tusken Raiders to get.
"[We have our tools: ballistas with grappling hooks, weapons, poison!]" The chieftain stated seriously to Amir.
"Tell me about your understanding of the Krayt Dragon." Amir asked directly about what he wanted to know most.
"[They... We found traces leading to the nest of a nearby Krayt Dragon!]"
The chieftain said a lot before that, and Amir didn't find anything noteworthy in Cheyhun's translation, but the last sentence piqued Amir's interest.
The biggest headache was how to lure the keen Krayt Dragon to the trap. If they knew the location of the nest, everything would be much more convenient. They could set up an ambush in advance.
Amir wanted to see the location of the Krayt Dragon's nest first and discuss specific methods based on the terrain.
The Tusken tribe accepted Amir's proposal. They didn't all go; instead, the chieftain took a very strong subordinate and went with Amir.
The group became five people. The two Tusken Raiders rode their Banthas and slowly began to lead the way.
After walking for half a day, they arrived at a valley.
"[There used to be a Sarlacc pit here that was eaten. It moved in recently.]" The chieftain explained.
Getting closer, Amir began to find it familiar.
Decades later, the Mandalorian would kill a creature like this. Looking at the surrounding environment, Amir increasingly felt it was the same dragon.
Given the growth cycle of this creature, a decade or so wouldn't leave much trace of growth.
So its size at this time should already have reached a terrifying level.
The group walked to a peak. The rock-filled ground gave the Tusken Raiders a false sense of security.
But they resolutely refused to go any further.
"[It's inside that cave. It sleeps most of the time.]"
Amir looked at the surroundings, thinking about what to do.
According to the Tusken Raiders, the Krayt Dragon's feeding method was undoubtedly its biggest weakness. As long as a Bantha strapped with explosives was sent into its mouth and detonated, no matter how powerful the creature was, it couldn't withstand the massive damage from the inside.
However, in Amir's perception, the giant creature in the cave ahead emitted a peaceful aura, not the madness others described. But Amir didn't think much of it. No creature is born evil. They should be calm most of the time, not radiating crazy emotions every moment.
Full of food and drink, there was no need to be angry at the air. Of course, it was better to lie in the cave and rest comfortably.
After noting the coordinates and having BD-4 take pictures of the surroundings, Amir didn't linger, and the group began their return journey.
After confirming the details of the cooperation with the Tusken Raiders again, Amir boarded the ship and returned to Mos Pelgo.
After dropping Wolf and Cheyhun off, he flew back to Mos Eisley. Amir was already very familiar with this city, so finding materials was very simple.
Just in the port area, Amir found two places selling off munitions, but they weren't high-quality goods, mostly second-hand items discarded by certain nations.
Scavenging some raw materials, Amir rented a warehouse, took out his equipment from the Traveler, and began to disassemble and reassemble.
He had done this many times and was very familiar with the operation. He just had to be gentle, or it could easily cause an explosion.
After a busy afternoon, Amir finished several bundles of special explosives, stretched satisfied, packed some food in the city, and returned to Obi-Wan's hut.
"What did you do all day, Amir?" Milisen saw Amir holding something and quickly ran up to take it. "Smells good!"
"A friend asked for my help." Amir walked to the table and distributed the food.
"That Devaronian?" Obi-Wan asked, unwrapping the package.
"Yes, in Mos Pelgo. He found a moisture farm there, but the situation is bad. Not only is it controlled by the Empire, but it's also constantly harassed by Tusken Raiders and Krayt Dragons." Amir ate heartily.
Obi-Wan shook his head. "Most residents' lives haven't been peaceful since the Empire was established. Remote Tatooine is considered stable. There are few Imperial soldiers stationed here; power is mainly in Jabba's hands."
Amir indeed hadn't seen many stormtroopers on Tatooine. Only a few symbolic ones stood guard at key locations.
"We made an agreement with the Tusken Raiders to hunt the Krayt Dragon together. If successful, they take the body, and the town and their tribe will leave each other alone. Today was spent running around for this. We've already found the location of the Krayt Dragon's nest."
Obi-Wan was a little surprised. "Is such a big operation necessary?"
"The Krayt Dragon itself is a huge threat to Mos Pelgo, no less than the Tusken Raiders. That dragon often goes to the town to devour livestock like Banthas. The residents just never thought of killing them," Amir said.
"I once saw a Krayt Dragon. It was huge and powerful. Killing them is not easy. Once you fail, escaping is even harder. The desert is their home ground," Obi-Wan worried.
Amir briefly explained his plan.
"I've prepared a huge amount of explosives to strap to a Bantha. Let the dragon swallow it, then detonate it from the abdomen. This is highly feasible."
Obi-Wan thought for a moment and nodded, approving the method.
Milisen raised her small hand. "I want to go too! I want to go too! I haven't seen a big dragon yet!"
Amir was in a difficult position. He had never seen a Krayt Dragon either. He was confident about the operation, but he couldn't ensure the safety of those around him.
"I'll protect Milisen." Obi-Wan patted Amir's shoulder. "I'll go with you."
