Just then, Mu spoke again.

"Also, that boy genuinely wants to help us. I can feel it; he means us no harm."

The rigid Natarle asked,

"On what basis?"

Mu grinned, pointing to his head.

"Intuition."

Natarle frowned tightly.

"Intuition? Lieutenant, this is no game. Even if he helped us, it doesn't prove that he and that unidentified Mobile Suit have no other agenda. He's too suspicious, and being able to skillfully pilot an MS, isn't it possible he's a Coordinator?"

Murrue knew how rigid Natarle was as a soldier regarding regulations, and Mu also understood this from his conversation with Natarle.

Mu let out a wry laugh and said,

"Ensign Badgiruel must have heard my title, right?"

Natarle didn't understand why Mu brought this up, but she knew this man wasn't one to constantly flaunt his military achievements.

"I know. Lieutenant Mu, known as the 'Hawk of Endymion,' shot down five ZAFT GINN ZGMF-1017s in his Moebius Zero over the Endymion Crater on the moon."

Mu quickly raised a hand, signaling Natarle not to continue. He himself was a bit embarrassed hearing it.

"But you might not know how I defeated those GINNs back then. I was born with an intuition different from ordinary people and a spatial awareness beyond most.

It was through this ability that I managed to stand out in the military and become an ace pilot for the Earth Alliance.

Do you understand what I mean? This intuition doesn't just work in combat; it's also uncannily accurate in judging people. In short, this intuition has never led me astray. That boy didn't make me feel any sense of alarm."

Natarle fell silent. She believed Mu was telling the truth, after all, how could a Natural person take down five GINNs relying solely on a Mobile Armor without some special ability?

The Mobile Armors in this world weren't like the terrifying ones that slaughtered a quarter of humanity in Mikazuki's world.

Most were primarily for support, often taking the form of fighter jets, small submarines, or MS booster aircraft.

Yet, Mu, as a Natural, could maneuver an MA against Mobile Suits without being at a disadvantage, which already showed his abilities were extraordinary.

Natarle sighed.

"I understand. Then, like you two lieutenants, I will tentatively trust him, but I will still remain suspicious of his identity."

Mu and Murrue exchanged a smile, finally having persuaded her.

Natarle continued,

"So, what about those civilian children? We can't let them leave knowing military secrets."

Mu clasped his hands behind his head and said faintly to Murrue,

"Captain, the boy named Kira, he piloted the Gundam, right?"

"Ah, yes.

To be honest, I don't know what's going on with Mikazuki-kun, but that child, there's no mistake, he's a Coordinator."

Natarle's expression changed. The child who piloted the Strike Gundam was a Coordinator?

Mu stood up and walked to the bridge window, looking at the busy Earth Alliance outside.

"Think about it carefully, this is the neutral nation Orb's colony. It's not strange for Newtypes who dislike war to live here."

Murrue pondered for a moment.

"The power of the Strike is indispensable. Although it's against regulations, if Kira-kun is willing to help us…"

"But, he's a Coordina…"

Mu suddenly interrupted Natarle.

"My intuition tells me that boy is fine too, Ensign Badgiruel, what do you say?"

"You two…"

Seeing the expressions on Murrue's and Mu's faces, Natarle swallowed the words at the tip of her tongue. She sighed helplessly and said,

"Your ranks are both higher than mine. Since you've both decided, what more can I say?"

Murrue broke into a smile and said apologetically,

"I'm sorry, Natarle. After all, this is an extraordinary time, and we're severely short on personnel and combat power. We can only make an exception and ask those children and the surviving civilians for help."

Natarle nodded without objection. She was also very clear that the Archangel couldn't break out of Heliopolis with just this small number of people.

The Earth Alliance soldiers who had survived the ZAFT bombardment had mostly gathered on the Archangel, but even so, there weren't enough personnel.

For instance, the Combat Information Center (CIC), where the bridge first officer usually was, couldn't be run by just one person. It required multiple people, such as communications officers and MS controllers.

It was the same for the main bridge, where the captain and helmsman were. What could one captain do alone? Could she pilot the battleship or fire its cannons?

So, the only solution now was to find civilians with similar experience to help them fill the missing personnel.

"Alright, since it's decided, I'll go talk to those kids. After all, they're not Mikazuki-kun."

Murrue said, standing up and leaving the captain's seat, then leaving the bridge.

In the MS hangar, Mikazuki sat shirtless in the Barbatos's cockpit, connected to the Alaya-Vijnana System, checking the Barbatos's equipment progress. Outside, the maintenance team was still busy.

"That old man looks like Dad, but much cleaner than Dad."

Orga's voice appeared.

"If Dad heard you say that, he'd probably cry."

"No, he wouldn't, because Dad has Merribit, and she'd comfort him."

"Hahahaha, you're right. They're getting married, aren't they? …Hey, Mika."

"Hm?"

"We absolutely have to go back alive, both you and I."

"Yeah, I know. I definitely won't die a second time. I still have to go back… and see my child."

"Eh? You have a child already?"

"Before I left, Atra said she was pregnant, and Kudelia promised she would raise him with her."

"Really?…"
