Chapter 1 - Ch 1- Beginning

The Labyrinth City, Orario.

A massive city built atop a Dungeon.

Gods gather here, and countless adventurers come seeking wealth and fame.

As an authentic transmigrator, Cain was no stranger to this city.

Before transmigrating, he was an old artist who watched countless films, occasionally watching anime for a change of pace.

He had watched two seasons of the anime "Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?"

If he could choose, he would much rather transmigrate to a safe slice-of-life world to be a literary plagiarist.

Instead of coming to a dangerous world where gods caused trouble every few days, and one had to fight monsters to the death to become stronger.

But since he's already here, he has to find a way to adapt.

The ancients once said, all roads lead to Rome; there are always more solutions than difficulties.

Pushing his food cart to Adventurer Street in the Northwest Sector, Cain expertly set up his stall.

In no time, a group of regular customers refreshed nearby.

"Give me a serving of Spicy Fried Rice."

"Coming right up, sir! Please wait a moment."

Wiping the sweat from his brow with a towel, Cain took out ingredients from a sack.

The cleaver turned into a phantom in his hand, minced garlic and shredded red carrots flew through the air, landing precisely in a dish nearby.

Hot oil, stir-frying spicy seasonings, adding the minced garlic and other ingredients, then quickly tossing in the pre-marinated diced meat.

Once the surface of the diced meat changed color, he poured in the rice, tossing it repeatedly with one hand, the rice and ingredients forming a full arc in mid-air.

A moment later, a dazzling golden light rose from the wok, and an enticing aroma drifted into the surroundings.

Looking at this scene, even though she had experienced it several times, a hint of curiosity inevitably arose in Lefia's eyes.

"There's clearly no Magic fluctuation, how are you achieving this golden light?"

"It's special effects! I added special effects!"

"What are special effects?"

"A type of Magic tool, only smart people can see it."

"..."

He must think I'm an idiot!

Lefia quietly took out her wallet.

As an elf, she theoretically shouldn't be in front of a street food stall; elegant and noble Western-style restaurants were her rightful place.

But there was no choice, it was too delicious.

Ever since she passed by the stall a week ago, attracted by the aroma of the food and ordered a serving of fried rice, Lefia had become a fixed NPC here.

"Cain, are you interested in joining the Loki Familia?"

"Not interested."

"Why not? Coming to our Familia as a chef, the income should look much higher than setting up a stall, right?"

"I already have a Familia.", Cain replied.

Unlike ordinary Familias,

The Loki Familia was one of the two great Familias in Orario, possessing a complete logistics system.

Large Familias like this wouldn't recruit people from other Familias to work for them, to avoid trouble.

"Eh? You have a Familia?"

Hearing this news, Lefia was stunned, a look of surprise on her face.

"Then why do you set up a stall every day? Don't you go into the Dungeon?"

"Because there's no need. The money I earn from the stall is enough to support myself and my Goddess."

"I see."

Lefia looked at the black-haired youth in front of her.

Even viewed through the eyes of an elf, Cain's appearance was still very handsome.

Calm demeanor, handsome looks, outstanding culinary skills, peculiar sales tactics...

Combining all these factors, Cain quickly accumulated a large base of loyal customers in a short time, with an income comparable to a Level 2 adventurer.

Under these circumstances, he indeed had no need to adventure in the Dungeon.

"I'm just an ordinary person; fighting isn't suited for me."

Cain waved his hand to shoo her away: "Don't block the way, the customer behind you is getting impatient."

"Uh, sorry."

Lefia moved aside to an empty spot, not leaving immediately.

As a genius Mage, Lefia was certain that Cain did not use Magic while cooking.

If that was the case, the strange golden light effect must originate from some Magic tool.

Lefia widened her eyes and observed Cain's movements as usual.

A moment later, Lefia quietly closed her eyes.

She didn't find the Magic tool, but her eyes were a bit sore from the glare of the golden light.

Today's match, Lefia loses!

...

Time passed, and night fell.

After using up the last portion of ingredients, Cain rode his food cart back to the dilapidated church, also located in the Northwest Sector.

As soon as he entered the basement, a petite figure rushed towards him, colliding with him along with a ball.

"Cain, I'm so hungry!"

"Didn't I leave you money before going out? Didn't you buy something to eat?"

Cain seemed a bit confused, reaching out to pat the girl's head as he inquired.

Saying 'girl' wasn't entirely accurate; although she looked very young, Hestia's true identity was a Goddess who had lived for hundreds of millions of years.

Divine power allowed her to ignore the corrosion of time, and her youthful face along with fair, delicate skin made her look no different from a young maiden.

The only thing that didn't match the appearance of a young girl was the pair of extra prominent front armor plates.

"I want to eat the food Cain makes."

Hestia slid off Cain, wrapped her arms around his waist, and looked up with an expectant expression.

Ever since Cain joined the Familia, the time she looked forward to most every day was mealtime.

Cain's cooking skills could turn decay into Magic; any ingredient would erupt with astonishing deliciousness in his hands.

Having grown accustomed to Cain's cooking, Hestia found it hard to take interest in outside food. This was why she was willing to starve today just to wait for Cain to return.

"Wait a moment, I'll make you noodles."

Cain patted Hestia's head and turned towards the kitchen.

Although making dinner for Hestia wasn't in his plan, it was no big deal for him.

It only took him about ten minutes to place a bowl of steaming beef noodles on the dining table.

"I'm digging in~!"

Hestia eagerly grabbed her chopsticks.

While she was eating, Cain returned to his room and lay down.

In fact, his cooking level before transmigrating wasn't very good; he was just at an ordinary person's level.

The reason he gained Hestia's approval was because he was cheating.

With a thought, he entered the depths of his consciousness and arrived at a vast space filled with mist.

Not far away, two figures, identical to Cain except for their clothing, were conversing.

Noticing Cain's arrival, they stopped talking and looked over.

"Yo~ You're here!"

"Good morning, DanMachi me."

"It's already evening on my end."

"Then good evening."

The man who greeted him changed his words.

He was wearing a set of black clothes, with the character for 'Exterminate' embroidered on the back of his garment, and a sword hanging at his waist.

After greeting him, he walked up to Cain and extended his right hand.

"You arrived at the right time, let's update."
