The day began as any other. Pluvia was awakened by the rays of the sun piercing through her window. She got up, had a maid dress her, and prepared to head out to the training grounds to meet Lord Hakurou. As she walked through the lively halls of the castle, Pluvia went over her teacher's criticisms from yesterday.
' Too stiff in my movements, choreographing my attacks too much, too slow...Ugh, I need to focus more...'
Pluvia's inner ramblings were cut off when a maid approached her. Pluvia couldn't hide her surprise as she took in the individual before her. A maid had never attempted to speak to her first except to relay messages from her parents or to politely greet her. Pluvia took in the young human girl before her as she quickly came to the conclusion that the girl was likely here to deliver some sort of message. She was proven right when the young maid spoke nervously,
" M-my lady,...L-lord Rimuru has asked for you to meet him in his office..."
Pluvia regarded the maid quietly as she mused over the message. She waved the girl off as she made her way to her father's office. She remembered that she used to visit the room often when she was younger, around her brother's age; however stopped in the past few years as her father had grown busier for some reason.
' What could he be calling me for? I doubt it's because of my training...I mean, it's been over a month since I started. If he had something to say about it, he would have said it earlier, right? '

" Pluvia, I want to talk to you about your recent training. "
' Dad damn it... '
" N-now Dad, I know you had forbidden it, but... "
The radiant man before her only shook his head with a soft smile.
" My darling daughter... I did not call you here to reprimand you. "
" H-huh...? "
Her father only smiled further at her dumbfounded expression.
" Oh, aren't you adorable... Anyways, as I was saying, I didn't call you here to reprimand you but to offer you my encouragement. "
" But...Why? You had said no last time... "
Rimuru only waved his hand at her question.
" That was two years ago, my dear; things have changed. You've gotten older, stronger, and more mature in that time~. Plus, with some things that are happening, I think it's for the best that you get stronger just in case... "
Pluvia frowned slightly at the last part of his sentence.
" What do you mean? What's happening? "
" N-nothing you need to worry about right now! " Rimuru quickly quelled her fears. " Just... Times are changing. Anyways~, I understand your passion for strength and have decided to support you in your growth. I know you would do it without my permission anyway~. "
Rimuru's gentle teasing helped lighten Pluvia's tension as she smiled softly. Rimuru rose from behind his desk elegantly and walked around to stand beside her. His hand gently ruffled her hair as he grinned. Pouting, Pluvia did not move away and let him do as he wished.
" Come, my dear, I'll join you in training for today. Father-Daughter bonding, we can call it~."
Rimuru and Pluvia held hands as they made their way down to the training grounds together. Throughout that time, Pluvia couldn't get the grin on her face to disappear.
