Professor Sakuragi got some glasses from the side, opened another bottle of champagne, and filled them all up. After doing so, he looked at the expectant faces of Koharu and the others and shook his head.
"You minors should stick to juice. It's still too early for you to be drinking champagne."
"Eh!? Why?" Koharu pouted, looking unhappy. "It's such a happy occasion, we want to try some too!"
Her proposal received unanimous support from Misty, Ash, and the others. Professor Sakuragi wasn't a rigid person, and with Yoshino chiming in to support them, he was eventually persuaded. With a sigh, he took out a few more glasses and poured them a little bit as well.
Everyone raised their glasses, and as the eldest, Professor Sakuragi laughed loudly and said, "Alright, then let's all toast to Natsui's victory!"
"Cheers!"
Everyone drank up. Unexpectedly, Sabrina seemed to be a lightweight; after just one glass, two rosy blushes appeared on her cheeks!
Even Ash stuck out his tongue after drinking.
"Wow, so this is alcohol? It tastes awful, not as good as juice. And it tastes like... like Tauros pee..."
"I think it's pretty good," Misty said, licking the corner of her lips with a sense of wanting more. She looked at Ash and shrugged helplessly. "This is why I always say, kids will be kids. You're so unsophisticated. I can't believe I associate with you."
"What did you say!?" Ash shouted. "You're about the same age as me, stop acting like you're a grown-up!"
Watching the two of them bicker, the others laughed. For a moment, the lounge was filled with a relaxed and joyful atmosphere.
After a while, when everyone had calmed down, Ash turned to Natsui and asked, "So, what do we do next? Is it time to go home?"
Brock chimed in, "There's still one last step before we go home! Didn't you get the notice to attend the closing ceremony?"
"Brock's right," Natsui nodded. "After the closing ceremony is over, this year's Indigo Conference will truly be complete!"
