"The target is moving toward Forschel," a rat hybrid whispered, crouched low. His eyes twitched as he adjusted the scope of his glasses, trying—and failing—to zoom in on the figure inside the car. "But seriously… should we just kidnap him?"
He hesitated, glancing sideways at his comrade. He wondered why he can't peek inside the automobiles, did the vampires noticed something? But it's impossible.
"Our lord said noble vampires are dangerous. Shouldn't we save him? He even spent the night in the same room as that vampire…"
The image unsettled him.
Poor hybrid. He'd looked so sleepy when he got into the car. Too soft. Too vulnerable.
…The master must've bedded him a lot, if he looked that good.
"Our boss said he's strong," the snake hybrid muttered, fingers brushing Durin's scales absently. "Maybe even stronger than our lord."
Durin tightened slightly around his neck, sensing the shift in emotion.
The rat hybrid stiffened.
"…Stronger than Lord Zephyr?"
