Bee arrived at the village, found Darui and Yushiro severely injured, and placed them in tentacle cocoons to stop their bleeding. He raised a tentacle into the sky as a signal for Samui, Mabui, and Sayami. Sayami tended to Darui and Yushiro, seething with rage at Minato for leaving Yushiro in such a state. Killer Bee revealed he had Minato's blood; Sayami used it to curse Minato and wrote a message on his left arm.
In Konoha, Minato burned with pain as the message appeared, which read: the exchange of Kaien for Kushina and insisting that no harm come to the boy. Danzo ordered a forceful interrogation of Kaien. Ibiki tortured him but gained little useful information. Kaien suffered brain damage, so Tsunade took him to be healed before the Kumo envoy arrived.
Killer Bee returned to Kumo with Team Crow. Upon receiving the first message about Kaien being in danger, young Ay and Aya collapsed; Ay summoned Gorakame, a silver fish, and was reverse-summoned to Genbu's stomach along with Aya. Benihime arrived and healed Aya. After learning of Kaien's capture, she ordered young Ay to prepare an envoy to leave for Konoha in two days.
A while later, she tended to the Four-Tails, which was sealed in the Valley of Bones, and performed regular maintenance on the seals. Genbu gains the powers of those he consumed, he ate Roshi and the Third Hokage. When the Raikage finally woke up, Benihime informed him of everything that had happened.
The Raikage and Benihime traveled to the Kumo mainland, where Beni healed Renga, Darui, Yushiro, and Sayami. The Raikage spoke with En Oyashiro, thanking him for his service. He officially accepted the Chinoike clan into Kumo, declaring them brothers-in-arms. The Raikage then visited Darui, motivating him not to blame himself and to strive for strength. He also thanked Yushiro and Sayami; Yushiro shared the information extracted from Might Guy, which the Raikage appreciated.
The envoy team... including the Raikage, Aya, Renga, Mabui, Dodai, Sango Hibaku, and other elite jonin... began their journey to Konoha. Onoki, having failed to get a response from Kumo for the Four-Tails jinchuriki, devised a plan to capture the Seven-Tails jinchuriki from Takigakure to gain leverage.
When the Kumo team arrived, Konoha's leaders met them. The Raikage goaded Fugaku Danzo into a rage. Meanwhile, Kushina concluded she no longer had feelings for Minato, strengthening her resolve to rebuild Uzushio. Kaien was completely healed by Tsunade; however, due to the trauma, he was unable to speak and had to be controlled by Inoichi.
The Raikage stated his terms: five billion ryo for Kushina's safe return, three billion for the key to her seal, and two billion for the removal of Minato's blood curse. While the Council discussed the terms internally, Tsunade entertained the Kumo envoy. Konoha eventually decided to offer the Caged Bird Seal, the Reverse Tetragram Seal, and the Reanimation Jutsu, along with four billion ryo.
Realizing Konoha would be in danger once Kumo discovered Kaien's condition, Danzo suggested he reanimate Madara, to which Fugaku objected and proposed that Tsunade should be the summoner. While Minato, Fugaku, and Hiashi distracted the Kumo envoy, Tsunade attempted the summon but failed, as Madara was still alive. Danzo summoned Mito Uzumaki instead. Afterward, he used Blue B, the former Eight-Tails jinchuriki, to emotionally manipulate the Kumo team. Once the terms were finalized, they agreed to the exchange at the Konoha Gate.
After Kaien was returned to Kumo's Envoy team and Kushina to Konoha, Sango Hibaku expressed suspicion that Inoichi had not been seen. At that moment, Inoichi released the jutsu he had been using to puppeteer Kaien. Taking advantage of the commotion, Kushina used her Adamantine Sealing Chains to ensnare Orochimaru, while Sango activated the hidden bombs he had placed throughout Konoha.
Waiting for Sango's signal, Dodai proceeded with his mission to capture the Hyuga child. He took Hinata and escaped. The Raikage ordered a retreat after witnessing the Tailed Beast Bomb from Blue B, Mito's Adamantine Sealing Chains, and Tsunade's immense strength as he would be not able to protect Kaien while fighting the trio.
Onoki succeeded in capturing the Seven-Tails jinchuriki and her brother, Mu, who was exceptionally talented for his age. In Suna, Sasori attempted to add the Third Kazekage to his collection but failed. The Third Kazekage convinced Sasori to return to Suna by promising that his mother and father could be brought back to life.
Obito planned to kill the Raikage to prove to Madara that he could die in peace. He searched the Kumo mainland but could not find his target, so he decided to have the Mist Village attack Kumo. Fortunately, he had not yet started the Blood Mist era, so most of the Mist Village's power remained intact to be used against Kumo.

A/N: *wipes the sweat off of the forehead*. So, there it is, the end of the 2nd arc. It had its up and downs... but yeah I enjoyed writing.
So on to the 3rd arc, there will be a 3 year time skip. Showing the growth of Hinata, Uzushio, and our own MC (Kaien). In this arc, I am planning to explore the inner dynamics of Kumo with new clans. And Iwa, Mist... Konoha had its time.
