Then, under everyone's disbelieving gaze, Saitama gave a pull and a flick of his arm—casual as if he were shaking out a towel.
That enormous beast—something even the Thing couldn't overpower—was actually ripped clean off the lunar surface by an unimaginable force. It lost balance in midair and, with a heavy crash, was slammed several meters away, shaking the ground (the Moon's surface) so hard it visibly trembled.
The supposedly indestructible bone spines covering its body let out a teeth-grinding cracking sound during the grab and throw—several of them snapped.
The beast looked completely rattled. It let out a silent roar (there was no air on the Moon to carry sound, but the vibration could be felt), struggling to push itself up.
Saitama stepped forward. His eyes swept across the creature's body as if he were searching for something. In the end, his gaze fixed on a spot on its chest that faintly glowed green—an apparent energy convergence point.
He raised his fist and threw a very ordinary punch.
There was no earth-shattering boom—only a dull impact. From the point where his fist landed, countless cracks instantly spread across the monster's entire body. In the next moment, eerie green flames erupted wildly from the fissures, like the creature's final burst of life—
But it only lasted an instant before going out completely.
That massive rocky body collapsed into lifeless rubble.
The Thing, newly freed, was still half-stuck in the posture of being pinned down, staring in a daze. Human Torch reverted back to human form, descended to the surface, and stood there with his mouth wide open—looking at Saitama, then at the pile of broken stone. Invisible Woman exhaled in relief as her force-field stabilized.
Saitama brushed a bit of lunar dust off his hands, as if he'd done something completely trivial. Then he turned his head toward the deepest part of the base, toward the largest energy source—
A gigantic portal made of warped light and violent energy, constantly vomiting out new rock monsters.
"That the target?" he asked, pointing at the portal.
The closer he got, the more rock monsters surged to stop him. They poured out of the rotating energy vortex like an endless tide. The heroes' fight was brutal—these creatures' defense and strength were far beyond anything normal.
Saitama, meanwhile, moved like a red-hot knife through butter. Anything that stood in his way—big or small—was shattered by a single punch. No exceptions. In the wake of his advance, a path quickly opened up—one paved entirely with broken stone—leading straight toward the portal's core.
At the center of the portal, the violent energy spun and condensed like a whirlpool. Finally, it formed a gigantic figure made of dark green, semi-transparent energy. It had a humanoid outline, but far more vicious—twisted horns grew from its head, and an oppressive aura of destruction pressed down hard enough to suffocate.
This was the ruler of the Rift Dimension—
The Rift Lord.
Its eyes burned with green flames as they swept across the battlefield. What it saw was a ground littered with rock monster wreckage… and a bald human steadily walking closer, completely out of sync with the surrounding chaos.
It released a deafening roar that struck directly into everyone's minds:
"Pathetic mortals! Low-dimensional insects! You think defeating my insignificant servants means you can stop the great Rift Dimension from merging with this miserable world? How laughable!"
Its voice was packed with arrogance and fury. As it bellowed, dozens more powerful rock monsters of varying size surged out of the portal once again. They clustered around the Lord, letting out threatening, low growls.
