Chapter 176 - Chapter 175: Battle Against the Serpent — Minos, the Puppet King

In this world, the so-called "Heavenly Father-level" gods were, at best, comparable to beings who had awakened the Eighth Sense Cosmos.

Most divine entities barely reached the planetary level, and even the mightiest of them were still weaker than the Celestial Gods of the universe.

And compared to the Devourer of Worlds, Galactus—they were nothing.

After all, Galactus was not a simple god, but a multiversal being. The one who appeared in this universe was merely a fragment—an echo of his true self.

Still, that didn't mean the Heavenly Father-level gods were weak.

Take Odin, for example—an old war god who had long reached the peak of divine might. If he chose, he could single-handedly slaughter a pantheon.

He had, in fact, done so before.

And when armed with the Infinity Gauntlet, Odin could even crush multiple Celestials—without needing all six stones.

Now, far above the Earth, the Serpent King Kull squinted toward the newcomer who had descended from the vast floating citadel in the sky.

A tremendous aura radiated from the figure. Kull could sense the power—and it felt oddly familiar.

"That power... Who are you?""Are you the one connected to the being who slew my favorite general in the seas?"

The man before him exuded a force even greater than the one who'd faced him before.

Kull's eyes narrowed as he lifted his massive axe.

"You have three seconds to answer me. If not—"

But before the final word left his mouth—

A meteor-like beam of black-violet light shot forward at lightspeed!

It struck Kull before he could even move, piercing straight through his divine barrier.

BOOM!!!

The impact sent the Serpent King hurtling backward into the sky. The collision tore through the atmosphere and shook the City of Fear below, forcing even Kull to catch his breath.

"What incredible power..."

As he steadied himself, he saw the black figure floating before him, silver hair gleaming faintly through the cosmic haze. The aura around this man was overwhelming—not weaker than that of Thor, his so-called "nephew."

"You… are strong," Kull admitted with a smirk, divine energy surging around him.

The storm of fear energy surrounding him howled like a hurricane, making his godly hair and beard dance wildly in the air.

"As expected of the God of Fear," the man said calmly. "You took that blow head-on without a single scratch."

Kull—once the Almighty Father, the King who led Asgard's conquest across the realms, the god who had challenged the cosmos itself—felt a surge of forgotten bloodlust awaken within him.

His divine power ignited like a burning Cosmos.

"I do not slay the nameless," Kull said coldly. "State your name, stranger."

The dark figure slowly let his cosmic energy fade, revealing a tall man with flowing silver hair and an ornate black armor—beautiful and regal, yet oppressive.

"Your Majesty, I am Minos of the Griffon, one of the Three Judges of the Underworld Army, under the command of Lord Hades."

The declaration itself was a challenge—a prelude to battle.

In the blink of an eye, Minos' body vanished into a streak of light, reappearing directly before the Serpent King.

Startled, Kull barely had time to swing his axe in defense, releasing a wave of corrosive divine energy.

But the Speed of Light Fist had already landed.

Kull was smashed from the heavens into the depths of the sea, sending a colossal tsunami surging across the trench.

White foam burst skyward—and yet, within moments, the serpent god rose again, unscathed but furious.

"Interesting… such power exists in Midgard? You are even stronger than Agamotto, the one who helped seal me long ago."

Minos' gaze sharpened.

Agamotto—the first Sorcerer Supreme of Earth. So this creature remembered him.

The serpent's body had endured Minos' strike with only a shallow bruise. No internal damage, no cracks—his physical resilience was terrifying.

No wonder Odin had feared him.

Minos could see now why beings like the Shadow Gods lingered unseen, observing the endless cycles of Ragnarök without intervening.

They feared this kind of raw, divine force.

After absorbing fragments of power from Odin, Thor, Hela, and even Kull himself, those hidden gods had indeed grown stronger—but they still lacked the courage to face such might directly.

Kull's battle spirit erupted like wildfire.

To the gods of Asgard—be they just, evil, or fallen—battle was more than instinct. It was their very nature.

Even Odin, before the prophecies bound his fate, had stretched his influence across the entire cosmos.

It was said that even Thanos would not dare plunder the Nine Realms so long as Odin yet lived.

Such was the might of the Aesir.

"Come then!" Kull roared. "Your strength is worthy of acknowledgment. If I defeat you here, you shall serve me as my envoy!"

"I, Kull the Serpent, will prove once more that I am the one true Almighty Father of Asgard!Odin, that hypocritical usurper, is but my defeated shadow!"

With a roar, he charged!

His axe gleamed with blinding divine energy, cleaving the air as it came down toward Minos.

Minos sidestepped gracefully—the force of the strike alone shattered the sea beneath them.

But he didn't merely evade.

Raising his right hand, Minos extended his fingers—and from them unfurled invisible threads, shimmering faintly with cosmic light.

The threads coiled around Kull's arm, binding the hand that gripped the divine axe.

"What—?!"

Minos tugged the threads sharply.Pain flared across Kull's body—the Serpent King howled in rage!

"Impossible! My divine body—wounded?!"

He looked down to see faint cuts searing across his arm, glowing with black fire.

Before he could react, Minos pulled again—dragging the god of fear forward—and drove his right palm straight into Kull's abdomen!

BOOM!!!

Kull's face twisted in shock and fury. His colossal body crashed down onto the City of Fear, shaking the entire realm.

He lay embedded in the ruins, struggling to rise—his divine power trembling for the first time in eons.
