Chapter 32 – Devouring the Blue Silver Emperor Alive, Absorbing Two Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Rings at Once

Dugu Bo spoke as he handed the soul bone in his hand to Gui Mei.

The eyes of all three men instinctively focused on it.

The soul bone was of exceptional quality. Its translucent, crystalline surface shone like the purest diamond, glowing faintly with a soft, mysterious radiance beneath the sunlight.

If one looked closer, faint azure energy threads could be seen flowing within — the aura it emitted was both vast and majestic.

From its shape, it was clearly a head soul bone.

"Old Ghost, this is a head bone — no doubt about it. It'll greatly enhance your spiritual power. Isn't that exactly what you've been wanting? Seems luck's on your side today, hahaha!"

Even Yue Guan, feeling the immense energy within the bone, was more excited than Gui Mei himself.

Gui Mei smiled faintly and accepted the soul bone from Dugu Bo's hand.

"Old Poison, I couldn't have slain that Sky Azure Bull Python without you. I've finally witnessed one of your ultimate techniques today — far beyond my imagination. Truly impressive."

Yue Guan chuckled and added with a grin,

"Indeed. Old Poison, if you'd used that move against me back then, I'd have had no way to resist."

Dugu Bo laughed heartily.

"Heh, though my Time Freeze is powerful, it drains my soul power completely after just one use. Unless it's necessary, I wouldn't dare use it carelessly."

"Still, my thanks," said Ghost sincerely.

Dugu Bo waved his hand dismissively.

"No need for thanks, Old Ghost. You and Old Chrysanthemum saved both me and Yan Yan's lives. Compared to that, this is nothing. You've spent plenty of energy in this battle — hurry and recover, then prepare to absorb the soul ring."

As he spoke, Dugu Bo turned to glance at the Titan Giant Ape's massive corpse — a mountain-sized shadow sprawled across the ground.

Thin streams of crimson mist rose slowly from the body, gradually gathering in the air.

That blood-red fog seemed to contain boundless power.

"What a pity… such a powerful hundred-thousand-year soul ring, and we won't have time to absorb it. What a waste," Dugu Bo sighed, his tone filled with genuine regret.

"You're right," Yue Guan echoed with a helpless nod.

A hundred-thousand-year soul ring — which soul master wouldn't covet one?

Yet now, they could only watch it dissipate before their eyes, that vast energy dispersing helplessly into the air — untouchable, unrecoverable.

Just as the two lamented, Gui Mei suddenly spoke.

"Maybe… it won't go to waste."

Both Yue Guan and Dugu Bo turned toward him in surprise.

"What do you mean, Old Ghost?"

"Yeah, the Sky Azure Bull Python's ring will take at least two or three days to absorb. By then, the Titan Giant Ape's ring will have dispersed completely. Don't tell me… You have another way to absorb it?"

Eager curiosity filled Yue Guan's voice.

Gui Mei's expression turned serious.

"I'm not certain yet. Let me finish fusing this head bone first — then I'll know."

Originally, Gui Mei had only planned to absorb the Sky Azure Bull Python's soul ring and had no intentions toward the Titan Giant Ape's.

But now, the soul bone dropped by the Sky Blue Bull Python was a head bone — likely one that enhanced spiritual power, based on the beast's abilities.

That was exactly what he lacked most.

His body, already tempered by two top-tier immortal herbs and the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well's waters, could easily withstand the violent impact of a high-level soul ring.

If his spiritual power could also be strengthened to a sufficient degree…

Then perhaps — just perhaps — he could attempt to absorb both hundred-thousand-year soul rings simultaneously.

Yue Guan urged eagerly,

"Old Ghost, the Titan Giant Ape's body is right there, and its soul bone won't be going anywhere. Fuse that head bone first — I'll guard you."

"Old Poison, you've nearly drained your soul power using that ultimate move. Sit down and cultivate for a bit. I'll keep watch over both of you."

During the fight against the Titan Giant Ape, Yue Guan had mainly relied on evasion and his soul bone skills, so his own soul power consumption was minimal.

Without wasting time, Gui Mei sat down cross-legged to stabilize his state.

After a few deep breaths, he slowly closed his eyes and pressed the glowing head soul bone gently against his forehead.

In that instant, a cool sensation spread from where the bone met his skin — like a mountain spring flowing across parched land, washing away exhaustion and bringing indescribable comfort.

Gui Mei could feel that refreshing energy gradually gathering in his mind.

Visions emerged in his consciousness — he stood beneath an endless starry sky, where countless stars shimmered in the dark void, each one radiating profound mysteries and infinite power.

The depth of that cosmic scene drew him in completely, cleansing his spirit and elevating his mind to a new realm.

Meanwhile, the azure energy within the soul bone intertwined with his spiritual power, merging and expanding into a force far greater than before.

It nourished his spiritual world like a silent, life-giving rain, strengthening and refining it bit by bit...

---

An hour later, Gui Mei slowly opened his eyes.

In that moment, the world seemed sharper, brighter — as if he could perceive even the flow of the wind itself.

His spiritual sea had expanded exponentially, his perception range now more than tenfold what it once was.

Seeing him awaken, Yue Guan immediately leaned forward with anticipation.

"Old Ghost! You've finished fusing the soul bone, haven't you? How does it feel? Has your mental power increased?"

Gui Mei nodded with a faint smile.

"My spiritual power has grown immensely — it's undergone a qualitative leap. I've reached a height I've never touched before… a completely different realm."

"That's excellent! Then let's begin absorbing the soul ring."

Gui Mei turned his gaze toward the Titan Giant Ape's colossal corpse.

Above it floated a massive, blood-red hundred-thousand-year soul ring, radiating a dazzling crimson light.

Not far away, another blood-red ring hovered over the lake — the remnant of the Sky Blue Bull Python.

Now that his soul power had ascended to such a level, Gui Mei's conviction only grew stronger.

"Old Chrysanthemum," he said calmly, "I plan to absorb both hundred-thousand-year soul rings… at the same time."

"What?!"

Both Yue Guan and Dugu Bo widened their eyes in utter disbelief.

"Old Ghost, are you out of your mind? No one has ever tried to absorb two soul rings at once — let alone two hundred-thousand-year rings!"

Yue Guan's shock quickly turned into concern.

"The risk is enormous. If those energies backlash, the consequences would be catastrophic! Let the soul ring go — it's not worth risking your life. You might get even stronger ones in the future."

Gui Mei fell silent, his thoughts deep.

He remembered the original timeline — when Tang San had absorbed the soul rings of the Ant Emperor triplets simultaneously. But Tang San's case was unique — he'd had the suppression of the Great Sumeru Hammer, the assistance of god-level soul bones, and perhaps even hidden intervention from the Asura God.

Gui Mei believed his own circumstances were just as special — perhaps even more so.

Unlike Tang San or Bibi Dong, his twin martial souls were not two separate entities, but one existence divided into body and soul.

His first martial soul, Ghost Demon, was related to the soul; his second was his body — two halves of a single whole.

They were perfectly synchronized — seamless, without conflict or disharmony.

To him, there was no need to worry about resonance or compatibility — both martial souls were himself.

Even Dugu Bo couldn't hide his unease.

"Old Ghost, Yue Guan's right. There's no need to take such a reckless risk. Don't be greedy — sometimes it's better to be cautious."

Gui Mei raised his head slowly, determination burning in his eyes.

"Enough. Don't worry."

He turned toward Yue Guan and said firmly,

"Old Chrysanthemum, bring out that Blue Silver Grass. It's time… to eat it."
