The fully armored figure of Captain America, shield on his back, appeared beside Nick Fury and Tony Stark.
Seeing so many heavily armed agents already on the scene, and even Tony himself suited up in his iron armor, Captain America's expression grew serious.
Although Fury hadn't explained the situation in detail, judging from this lineup, it was clearly no trivial matter.
"Stark."
"Rogers!"
Tony gave a slight nod, acknowledging him. Captain America then walked straight over to Nick Fury.
He glanced at the Tesseract, which everyone was guarding meticulously, and raised an eyebrow immediately. "The Tesseract? This thing has been with S.H.I.E.L.D. all along?"
It made sense.
After all, this thing had gone down to the ocean with him.
Now that he himself had been rescued by S.H.I.E.L.D., there was no doubt the Tesseract had fallen into their hands as well.
"I was wrong. I thought the world might be different… but it's still the same."
Captain America shook his head in disappointment.
The situation in front of him was clear: S.H.I.E.L.D. must have been studying the Tesseract, much like Red Skull once did.
And that had caused things to spiral out of control, resulting in disastrous consequences.
"I don't know what kind of world you imagined,"
"But in this matter, you've misunderstood me."

Captain America couldn't help but smirk.
"Although it sounds like a ridiculous excuse, yes, that's exactly what happened."
"Captain, the Tesseract is far more complicated than you imagine…"
Crackle! Crackle!
The sound of energy suddenly erupted, interrupting Captain America and Fury, drawing their attention.
Everyone around them reacted the same way, including the Playboy.
All eyes on the scene fixed unblinkingly on the Tesseract.
The Tesseract's unstable state seemed to reach a peak, with continuous pulses of energy surging outward.
Its light grew blindingly bright, almost impossible to look at directly.
The atmosphere became even more tense.
No one dared to breathe. Everyone's eyes were locked on the Tesseract.
Prepared for anything.
"The spatial portal should be opening soon."
Tony instinctively glanced at the data on his display, and his pupils contracted slightly beneath the helmet.
Boom!
Sure enough, in the next moment, the energy pulse from the Tesseract exploded outward, shooting a blazing column of light.
Everyone on the scene jumped in shock.
At the end of the column of energy swirled a massive mass of blue energy, rolling like ocean waves.
But the energy mass was extremely unstable, and after a brief surge, it suddenly dispersed.
It rose up to the ceiling, reaching a temporary equilibrium.
And in the place where the energy mass had appeared, a figure now stood.

All eyes turned toward the new figure in unison.
He wore a peculiar-looking robe and held a weapon resembling a long spear.
His glossy slicked-back hair fell over his shoulders, and his cold, sharp eyes were like a hawk's, piercing and threatening.
Yet at the same time, the corners of his mouth curled into a sly, sinister smile.
That classic "villain" grin—clearly not someone you could trust.
Without a doubt, it was Loki.
Nick Fury's heart sank, and his nerves immediately tensed, entering full alert.
Tony had called it right!
Someone had remotely activated the Tesseract, opened a spatial portal, and traveled through!
Now, the only question was—who exactly was this person?
Could it really be Loki?
Shhh… shhh… shhh…
The faint sound of footsteps echoed.
The S.H.I.E.L.D. agents, who had been on high alert, instinctively raised their weapons and slowly closed in on Loki, forming a circle to surround him.
But Loki didn't even glance at these "mortals."
He merely cast a cold, slightly surprised look at Tony and Captain America.
He knew these two!
He had crossed paths with them back when he commanded the Destroyer to descend on New Mexico.
Loki hadn't expected such a "coincidence," meeting these two again.
"Sir, please put down the spear in your hand!"
Fury's voice rang out, breaking the silence. His expression was serious as he addressed Loki.

Loki paused for a moment, realizing they must be referring to the scepter in his hand.
He let out another cold, mocking laugh. The mortals on this planet were truly ignorant.
"Little circus boy, state your identity, your planet of origin, and the purpose of your visit to Earth."
Tony stepped forward and barked at Loki, showing no courtesy.
"Tin man, do you know who you're talking to?"
Loki's expression suddenly grew icy, his voice sharp and chilling.
This armored guy was audacious!
"We were just wondering!"
Captain America asked the question smoothly.
"I am Loki, from Asgard."
Loki introduced himself with a superior air.
Loki?
Those who heard the name didn't immediately react—but Tony and Fury both tensed.
It really was Loki!
After Thor had been stranded on Earth for a time, he must have returned to Asgard, fought Loki, and sent him into the cosmic abyss.
That explained why Loki now descended again, following the trajectory described in the old diary.
Fury and Tony were at a loss for words.
What on earth had Thor been doing?
Knowing the future and yet changing nothing—what a useless teammate.
"Loki? You're Thor's brother?"
Captain America was genuinely shocked. He had never expected this answer.
Though stylistically, Loki was very different from Thor.
Of course, Cap just thought this quietly to himself.
At a moment like this, it was irrelevant.
"Then Loki, why have you come?"
Captain America's gaze fixed firmly on Loki as he asked the crucial question.
"That question, you should ask yourselves."
Loki smiled meaningfully. "What isn't yours, even if you take it secretly, will eventually be returned, won't it?"
Cap frowned slightly, deep in thought.
His gaze instinctively flicked toward the Tesseract.
Could Loki be talking about the Tesseract?
"Sorry, Loki."
Fury spoke decisively. "But we cannot let you take the Tesseract. Doing so would cause consequences beyond your imagination."
"That's unacceptable. I've come all this way for it."
Loki began stepping toward the Tesseract, scepter in hand.
The surrounding S.H.I.E.L.D. agents tightened their grips on their weapons, aiming at him.
Loki strutted arrogantly, completely ignoring the agents.
"You insignificant mortals, ants beneath my feet," he declared, "your only duty is to submit to me! Present to me what I desire with utmost devotion!"
Pfft!
Loki's words were cut off by a sharply timed, mocking laugh.
"Sorry to interrupt your little performance, circus boy," Tony quipped, mercilessly mocking him. "But your acting is as terrible as that ridiculous costume. I'd nominate you for the Golden Raspberry Awards."
Swish!
Loki's expression instantly hardened.
Though he didn't know what the Golden Raspberry Awards were, he understood enough—they were mocking him.
"Do you think hiding in your tin suit makes you arrogant before a god?"
"Tin man, disrespecting a god has consequences!"
Loki sneered and raised his scepter, ready to give this insolent fool a lesson he'd never forget.
Bang!
But Tony acted first.
He thrust his armored hand forward, firing a repulsor blast straight at Loki's chest.
Loki staggered and was knocked to the ground.
"Your punishment is showing me the godly embarrassment?"
Tony swaggered, retracting his repulsor, mocking Loki as he lay sprawled on the ground.
"OK!"
"You arrogant, ignorant ant!"
"Prepare to feel a god's wrath!"
Loki rose, furious, gripping his scepter and unleashing a blazing energy beam at Tony.
Zsh!
Clang!
A metallic clash rang out.
Tony staggered back from the strike, his armored suit rocked by Loki's energy blast.
Zsh!
Loki fired another energy attack, but a shadow flashed past.
Captain America, lightning-fast, leapt in front of Tony, shield raised.
Loki's blast struck the shield, which—surprisingly—reflected the energy back at him.
Bang!
Loki staggered from his own attack.
"Sorry, is this godly wrath?"
Tony continued taunting, charging in his shiny iron armor.
"Die!"
Loki roared, swinging his scepter at Tony, but Tony blocked it.
Clang! Clang!
Metal clashed continuously as the two exchanged blows, dazzling all who watched.
Unlike the weak Loki in The Avengers movie, this Loki fought fiercely, trading blows evenly with Tony.
After all, Loki was the second prince of Asgard.
Not as strong as Thor, but dealing with Iron Man was manageable.
Captain America watched briefly and quickly realized: Tony alone could not defeat Loki.
He joined the battle, shield raised.
Together, they began to pressure Loki.
Loki started to struggle, gradually losing the upper hand.
"Yes, you are indeed capable. I must admit, impressive," he sneered.
"But you think this is the true power of a god?"
Hahaha!
Loki laughed arrogantly mid-battle, planting his scepter firmly.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Suddenly, the crowd saw one Loki after another "splitting" into existence.
In an instant, a group of Lokis appeared.
Hahaha!
They all laughed wickedly, their sinister grins echoing and overlapping.
"This…"
Captain America was dumbfounded, turning from one Loki to another.
It was impossible to tell who was real and who was fake.
Not only Cap, but Nick Fury and the other S.H.I.E.L.D. agents were equally confused.
Everyone was thrown into disarray.
