CHAPTER 11
The next day
Beads of sunlight kisses Nancy's face as her lashed flutter open.
The room was worm and a beautiful smile curved up on her face as she stretches her hands.
She slowly sat up and looked at the other side of the bed.
It seems he was already out.
With light steps,she got up and headed to the bathroom.
.....a while later she came out looking all fresh.
She quickly applied some light lipstick,then headed downstairs.
...."...".. in the living room, Simon was standing, beside him a man, seemly dishing out instructions as the man contuinuesly nod.
The living room rather looked noisy and busy as people continue to move back and forth.
When Simon noticed Nancy's presence from the staircase ; it was strange how he continues to stare .
She was wearing a light yellow dress which had blue flower prints all over it .
Her shoulders bare to the eyes as the main bottom was settled at the neck.
The dress wasn't long, it was rather average and hugged her feature perfectly.especially the waist.
Simon slowly looked away trying not to get caught.
Nancy came face to face with him, standing opposite.
She looked everywhere frowning
"What's happening....are we expecting someone?..."
"Yeah..." he answered not looking at her ".... actually ,.." he sucks in then turned to her "...mom is coming "
Just the word and Nancy's heart almost leaped out.
"What?!!....and you didn't tell me?"
"I also got the information this morning"
Her eyes wilden as both her hands went to her forehead. She began pasting back and forth
Don't get her wrong she loves her mother in law, but sometimes the woman tends to be a little..... extra.
" Umm....ok..it alright " she stopped in front of him " we can handle this ....um let me quickly change my clothes first and then we could...."
" You look fine." Came the startling word from Simon
Her throat tightened as she just stares at him
" Excuse me." He awkwardly walked out leaving her standing .
She was completely speechless
She looked fine? He has never said that before , she couldn't stop herself from smiling.
He barely looks at her let alone complement her so...
What does this mean? Could it maybe be that he's having...no!,... that can't be it ...she can't get ahead of herself at the moment.
It was a simple completely don't pin on it .
She sucked in a quick breath then turned to head back upstairs.
Her mother in law is coming the house has to be spotless.

....By the time of her arrival the entire interior was sumptuous , especially her bedroom upstairs.
Everyone was busy making sure everything was in place.
English dishes were prepared just for her.
And by noon everywhere was set.
Nancy was standing in the living room when she saw Simon coming down stairs
She frowned at his presence quickly approaching him
" You didn't go to get her at the airport? "She asked
He came standing before walking pass her
" It better she comes on her own " he stopped at the entrance before informing" she's here. "
Almost immediately the large gate opened Introducing a black limousine.
Behind it where other cars following closely.
Nancy quickly came to stand beside Simon adjust her dress all the while.
The car came to a stop right beside the water falcon in the middle of the mansion.
The guards immediately got out to open the door for her .
Daphne steped out of the car and two maids rushed out to her pouring petal flowers on the floor for her to walk on.
Seeing this Simon frowned
" Oh I forgot to mention that.. I ask them to do it.. you know to make her feel..... queenly" She informed noticing his face .he didn't say anything but a light smile appeared on his face.
Daphne approached them with a wild smile on her face
" Nancy!" She called spreading her arms for a hug
" Mother "
The two seemed more like mother and daughter leaving Simon standing there like some third wheel.
" You look splendid, how have you been?"
" I've been well mother and you "
" Oh I've been wonderful, and before I forget,I got you something "
She stretched out her hand signaling the guards.
A big gift basket was brought in , followed by another with wrapped gifts and then another .
Simon frowned at this
" Isn't the gifts a bit too much?"
He received a sharp glare by Nancy at his words
" Not at all... anything for my daughter"
" Thank you mother, am sure that I'll love them all"
" Yes you will"
The presence of Simon or anyone else in the room was completely ignored.
" Please allow me to show you to your room mother,am sure you must be exhausted from the long trip"
" Please do, my feets are killing me"
They both headed upstairs chatting on the way.

They arrived in the room and Daphne was pleased with the hole decoration.
" Tell me something, did Simon help with the any of the work?"
"Yes mother he specifically chose the colors"
"Hmmm!...yet he sounded like he didn't want me here" she said in a disappointing tone
" Am sure he didn't mean any of the things he said. We all love you and we're happy to have here"
" Well he suttenly don't act like it. Can you believe he didn't even say hi to me when I arrived?"
Nancy smiled not wanting to speak about that she changed the topic
" I almost forgot to ask ,how is Brenda? I heard her engagement got cancelled, I can only imagine what she's going through"
" Oh she's fine don't bother your heart. Am quite sure she and that brother of her's where in together "
" Nickeal?"
" Who else?" She asked tossing her scarf on the bed "he just appeared claiming he wants to marry Antel's sister. This, that, nobody really knew what happened both brother and sister got upset and the hole thing got cancelled "
"My Lord!"
"Hmm..I actually figured that was gonna happen the moment I saw Nickeal walked in " she chided simultaneously making herself comfortable on the bed " anyway enough about them, what about you? "
Nancy frowned
" What about me?"
" Come here " she signaled her to come seat with her
Nancy quietly made herself comfortable beside her
" Now tell me, are you ok?
She smiled wondering what with the sudden question?
" Am fine mother "
" Is he treating you anyway badly?"
" Not at all, what make you think that?"she exclaimed
" You don't have to lie to me Nancy"
Nancy laugh at Daphne's words
" Mother I promise if Simon is doing anything wrong to me you'll be the first to know "
Daphne didn't seem to believe her at all.
Nancy on the other hand was completely shocked at the lake of trust between the mother and son
" Alright then. If he isn't doing anything wrong to you then tell me... are you pregnant yet?"
