Chapter 135 - Revenge

Chapter 135 – Revenge

"Oh? So that boy actually helped Sasuke awaken the Sharingan… His eyes have finally opened, huh? As expected from my brother's student—an absolute monster," Kakashi muttered with a dark expression, exhaling deeply.

From the beginning, he had been quietly observing Toneri. Watching the way the boy trained the three of them, Kakashi could tell just how harsh and relentless his brother's methods must have been.

Even coming up with the idea of using the Multiple Shadow Clone Technique as a parallel training method—only Hatake Yusuke's disciples could think of something so insane.

After three days of nonstop practice, the trio had finally mastered both tree-walking and water-walking.

During that time, thugs hired by Gato occasionally appeared to cause trouble—but since they were ordinary men, Team 7 easily dealt with them.

Despite their progress, the three still felt unsatisfied. And since Kakashi was Toneri's uncle, he couldn't just stand idly by. He decided to personally teach Toneri one of his signature techniques.

As expected, Toneri's talent was frightening. Within a single day, he had already learned it.

Though his control wasn't perfect, his potential was undeniable. To refine his instincts further, Kakashi suggested a live sparring session—a simulation to sharpen real combat experience.

After all, compared to Kakashi, Toneri's arsenal of techniques was still limited.

If he continued sparring only with Hatake Yusuke, he wouldn't improve. Every fight ended too quickly, even when his master deliberately held back.

And truthfully, Yusuke's powers were far beyond comprehension.

Even though not all his Devil Fruits were focused on offense, the combination of Mythical Zoan, Ancient Zoan, and ordinary Zoan powers had turned his body into something monstrous. His physical abilities were beyond human limits—even without chakra.

One user of a legendary Zoan-type Devil Fruit, like Sengoku, could already rival a Kage.

So what about Hatake Yusuke—who possessed several? His strength grew endlessly, even without training.

But back to the point—Kakashi's sparring match with Toneri was nothing short of spectacular.

Though Kakashi treated it like a casual exercise, Naruto and the others were completely awestruck.

The sight of their teacher effortlessly trading blows with Toneri ignited Sasuke's determination. He began training even harder, using Shadow Clones just like Naruto—but his body couldn't handle the strain. He collapsed by the end of the day.

A few days later, Kakashi completed the mission and led his team back toward Konoha.

However, from atop a distant cliff, three figures silently watched their journey.

A shimmering dome of violet light cloaked their presence entirely.

"What a convenient coincidence," said a man among them, his gaze locked on Kakashi's group below.

"Indeed. Who would've thought we'd run into Kakashi here?" said a blonde woman beside him.

The three were none other than Hatake Yusuke, Tsunade, and Shizune.

"He's gotten stronger. Good… as expected of my little brother," Yusuke said with a satisfied grin.

"Yeah. Who would've thought that kid would grow into this? Just sensing his aura now… he's almost at my level," Tsunade remarked, arms crossed.

"You're wrong, Tsunade," Yusuke replied with a sly smile.

"Oh? And what's that supposed to mean?" she asked, narrowing her eyes.

"It means Kakashi's power may have already surpassed yours."

Tsunade frowned. "Impossible."

She had already mastered Ryūō—the advanced form of Armament Haki. Her control was so precise that her Haki had long surpassed most Busoshoku users.

Combined with her legendary superhuman strength, there were few who could stand against her—though of course, she was still far below Yusuke himself.

"Don't forget," Yusuke said casually, "he's a Hatake, just like me. The Hatake Sword Style isn't just about blending Kenjutsu with Ninjutsu—it can also be fused with Haki. And from what I've heard, Kakashi's mastered Ryūō as well. If you fought him now… you might lose. Besides, it's been ages since your last real battle, hasn't it?"

Tsunade scoffed, turning away without replying.

"Anyway," she said after a pause, "why aren't we just going down there to meet them? Why are you hiding our presence?"

Yusuke chuckled softly. "Fufufu… because I just came up with a great idea."

Tsunade arched an eyebrow. "Oh? What kind of idea?"

Shizune sighed and rubbed her temples, already dreading what was coming.

"You remember those two we met on our way back?" Yusuke asked.

"The man with the huge sword?" Tsunade recalled immediately.

She was referring to their earlier encounter with Zabuza and Haku.

Back then, Yusuke had approached and asked if they knew Kakashi. Zabuza, still bitter over his defeat, was instantly irritated by the man's carefree attitude—a silver-haired stranger wearing a white blindfold who acted just like Kakashi but ten times more annoying.

Unable to restrain himself, Zabuza attacked. But he didn't even last a second.

Yusuke crushed him effortlessly, and Haku fell shortly after.

Once again, Zabuza was forced to question the meaning of his existence as a ninja. First defeated by Kakashi, and now completely overpowered by an even stronger monster.

Yet Yusuke spared their lives. He knew Kakashi had already shown them mercy, and he wasn't the type to repay kindness with cruelty.

"Yeah, I remember," Tsunade said. "And the girl with the Ice Release?"

Yusuke grinned. "Exactly."

Tsunade's eyes narrowed suspiciously. "What are you plotting now?"

"Don't get the wrong idea!" Yusuke waved his hands quickly. "I just happen to have ice abilities too. I'll disguise myself as one of them and pretend to seek revenge. Simple, right?"

Tsunade smirked. "You know what? That's actually a good idea."

"Excellent," Yusuke said, pulling out a cloak and mask seemingly from nowhere.

As he slipped them on, his entire aura changed—his presence turning cold and ominous.

"How do I look?" he asked, his voice now deep and raspy.

"Not bad. Just don't screw it up like last time," Tsunade said dryly.

"That was an accident. This time, everything's under control," Yusuke replied with a grin before vanishing in a blur.

He reappeared on the path ahead of Kakashi and his team.

"Kakashi-sensei! There's someone up ahead!" Naruto warned.

"Yeah, I see him," Kakashi said calmly. "Everyone, be ready. This one isn't just some random stranger."

The masked man stood motionless, the air around him chilling with unnatural frost.

"May I ask who you are?" Kakashi called out.

"I've come to avenge my fallen disciple," Yusuke's disguised voice rumbled, low and menacing.

"I'm sorry, but I don't know who you're talking about," Kakashi said evenly, though his instincts screamed danger.

He drew his sword, Ame-no-Habakiri, its blade gleaming faintly. The mere presence of the figure before him was enough to freeze the moisture in the air.

Few in the shinobi world could wield Ice Release with such devastating intensity.

"Oh? Then allow me to remind you," Yusuke said coldly.

The moment he spoke, frost spread outward from where he stood, rippling through the ground like a tidal wave.

In seconds, everything within a kilometer radius was frozen solid—trees, rocks, even the air itself.

"T-That's… Ice Release?! But this power—it's way stronger than before!!" Naruto and Sasuke exclaimed together, their eyes wide with disbelief.

"Then… you must be the one who traveled with that Ice user girl," Kakashi said, tightening his grip on his blade, every muscle in his body on high alert.
