But they had subconsciously avoided calculating the time between events. Now, that time was laid bare before them, and a sense of urgency washed over them.
Thanos had only sent two subordinates to wreak havoc on Earth, so just how terrifying was he personally?
Previously, Thanos alone had trounced the Avengers' three top-tier fighters, and that was just the tip of the iceberg.
Now, one could truly say what was originally meant for a certain unnamed Chinese national soccer team:
Their time was really short! And so far, they hadn't come up with a way to defeat Thanos, and they only had eight years.
It seemed like a long time, but it was far from enough to fight a cosmic overlord.
Meanwhile, in the palace of Asgard, Thor's eyes were bloodshot. He also realized that his father's death would likely occur within these eight years.
That is to say, there are really only a few years left.
So, he used to love running around everywhere, going all over the universe to find friends to play with. However, recently, he rarely went to Earth, and most of the time he stayed at home to accompany his parents.

Immediately after, a group of people charged in. It was none other than Star-Lord and the others.
"Thanos!"
Drax the Destroyer roared, initiating an attack.
Then the two sides just started fighting. Seriously, without a word of explanation, before anyone even understood what was happening, they were already at it.
"So, this is the Guardians of the Galaxy?" Tony Stark watched the two sides fighting directly on the screen. They didn't seem to be Thanos's subordinates.
So he guessed this might be the Guardians of the Galaxy that Lin Feng mentioned in his diary, the ones who were beaten up alongside the Avengers by Thanos.
He just hadn't expected them to meet this way.
Was it a case of "making friends through fighting"?
The two sides engaged in a fierce battle, and for a time, it was difficult to determine a winner.
Thanos hadn't even arrived yet, and they were already fighting!
After a dizzying display of combat, Star-Lord successfully restrained Spider-Man, pointing his gun at him and shouting, "Nobody move! Just calm down for a second. I just have one question: Where's Gamora?"
Facing this question, Tony Stark posed another question, a question of the soul: "I'll ask a more advanced question. Who is Gamora?"
And Drax the Destroyer, who was being stepped on, also asked, "I'll ask a more advanced question, why are you all asking about Gamora?"
Now it was really the Q&A session.
"Tell me where that girl is, or I'll roast him!" Star-Lord threatened fiercely.
"Go ahead, if you dare touch my guy, I'll blow him away, come on!"
Faced with the reckless Star-Lord, Tony Stark didn't hold back at all and shouted directly.
As he spoke, a long-barreled energy gun appeared in his hand. This scene made the Tony Stark outside the screen's eyes light up. This nano-technology was really awesome.
Normally, it looked like he had nothing in his hands, but through the combination of nano-robots, he could instantly conjure long knives, even cannons, anything.
But the others saw this scene and felt very speechless. They were bystanders and naturally saw clearly that there was some misunderstanding, because of this misunderstanding about the person called Gamora. However, both sides still started fighting without a word, and they didn't even ask about each other's identities. They could have solved the problem with just one more question.
After a series of questions and threats, both sides finally realized they seemed to have the wrong target.
Spider-Man, who was still being held, asked pitifully, "So you're not Thanos's accomplice?"
"In cahoots with Thanos? Of course not! I'm here to take down Thanos!" Star-Lord said, incredulous. "He took my girlfriend. Wait, who are you guys, anyway?"
"We're the Avengers, man!" Spider-Man (Peter Parker) said, speechless as well.
At this moment, they all began to realize that perhaps they really had targeted the wrong people?
"You're the group Thor mentioned?" Mantis suddenly seemed to remember something and asked.
"You know Thor?" Tony Stark immediately reacted.
Since both sides had acquaintances as a medium, it became much easier to communicate.
"Of course I know him. Tall, not very good-looking, and definitely needs some love!" Star-Lord couldn't help but say.
"Where is he now?" Doctor Strange asked.

"Shouldn't the strangest thing be that the air and gravity here are exactly like Earth's? That's what allows them to survive there!"

From this video, it seemed that, unlike what many scientists had speculated, Earth's environment might be a standard in the universe. The oxygen content might be similar, and the gravity might be similar too.
