Chapter 107 - Ch: 3

Chapter 3

Harry stood on the dock waiting for the second task of the Triwizard Tournament to begin. He did his best to appear anxious and worried. He wanted the judges to believe they were really using Hermione as his hostage. In truth, Hermione was invisible and out of phase standing next to him so that even Dumbledore couldn't see her. It was an HFR slaved to Hermione's will that was the hostage. The moment the canon sounded to announce the task was beginning Harry calmly walked off the dock to the shore. He pointed his wand behind him at the shore and sent a powerful banishing charm towards the ground. He felt himself being thrown out over the water. He performed a bubblehead charm midair and landed feet first. He began to sink beneath the waves. An aguamenti charm propelled water out of the back of his wand and provided thrust to see him sinking faster. Soon he dropped straight down to the village of the merpeople. There he found a half dozen of the merpeople wielding tridents swimming around the group of hostages.

Harry knew he didn't really need to rescue Gabrielle Delacour. Even though Fleur was at that moment being overwhelmed by the kelpies, her hostage would still be safely rescued. He cut the binding holding Hermione down and used a sticking charm to secure her to his back. He waited until both Cedric and Krum had retrieved their hostages. They were fairly close to each other. Once the two were out of sight, Harry conjured a sea serpent made of water and sent it to deter the merpeople from interfering. He freed Gabrielle and grabbed her hand with his left. He propelled all three of them with a blast of water out of his wand. They broke the surface of the lake 30 seconds later. Another powerful stream of water propelled them towards the dock. He had still managed to beat Krum and Cedric back thanks to his use of the aguamenti charm to propel himself.

Onboard the Orbiting Marauder

James and Lily Potter awoke at the same time in beds lying next to one another. The room they were in was white with no discerning features. The thin beds looked to be made of advanced materials.

"James, where are we?" Lily asked.

"I was hoping you would tell me. The last thing I remember is...fighting Voldemort, Harry!" James shouted as his memories came back to him.

"I remember a killing curse coming at me. That's it. Are we dead?" Lily asked.

An old man appeared before them. James and Lily didn't know it. But they were staring at an HFR.

"Greetings James and Lily Potter. You are not dead. I am the wizard you know as Merlin," Merlin said.

"Merlin," James exclaimed in awe. "What...what is going on?" Lily asked.

"One of my abilities is to travel through time. I foresaw a wizard that would one day surpass me and become my successor in guiding the magical world. That successor is your son Harry," Merlin explained. James and Lily were understandably awed. "Harry is a brilliant young man. He has been training with me for several years now. He has been learning to master time travel. As his final project to prove his skill I tasked him with saving your lives."

"But if we died how could he save our lives without messing up the past?" James asked.

"That is the trick of it and why it is his final project. We had to figure out all the details of what you did Lily to save his life that night. Luckily, we had your notes. We figured out an alternate arrangement that would save his life without requiring your sacrifice and then faked your deaths. The bodies the other magicals found and buried were clever fakes. The year is 1993. Harry as far as the world believes is a fourteen-year-old wizard. In truth due to his training with me in time he is actually physically seventeen," Merlin explained. "I have a lot to tell you before you meet him and move back to Potter Manor."

Later when James and Lily met their seventeen-year-old son they both immediately enveloped him into a hug.

"My little boy is all grown up," Lily said as she hugged Harry who was now taller than her. "Look at you. You're even taller than me," James said in awe.
"I'm so glad I finally get to meet you," Harry said as he pulled back with tears in his eyes. "We're sorry we couldn't be there for you," Lily said.

"You gave your lives to save mine. What more could I ask?" Harry said.

"We have a lot of catching up to do," James said.

Hermione was introduced to James and Lily in the next few days.

The story of how the Merlin HFR came to be was an interesting tale.

Harry entered the cave that he knew SG-1 wouldn't arrive at for many years yet. It had taken him using a point me spell on various sections of the galaxy on a star map to locate this particular planet. Bypassing the protections Morgan had put in place without going through the whole Sangraal quest had been tricky, but not impossible. Harry had come to this planet using a puddlejumper modified for extreme stealth. The puddlejumper was out of phase. Harry was currently out of phase. The Alteran sensor in the room that would have lit up Merlin's stasis chamber didn't even detect Harry's presence. Harry knew that Ascended could detect the other dimensions if they actively looked. But unless something caused them to look it was a blind spot.

Harry approached the stasis pod and placed a cube about the size of his fist against the pod. Immediately liquid nanites began flowing out of it and into the pod. He watched as the nanites did their job. It took them thirty-three minutes to download the entirety of Merlin's mind. Everything that the high counselor Morose was, was copied into the cube. After Harry had retrieved what he was after he retreated from the cave and the planet with the Ascended none- the-wiser.

The HFR Merlin was created to house the knowledge obtained from Merlin but with an AI matrix completely subservient to Harry.

Another copy of this knowledge was hidden in secret at the same facility where the Tarion was stored. Harry had created a highly concealed facility in a star system in one of the undeveloped regions of the Milky Way where he housed the Tarion. He had also created several more hidden bolt holes for the Alteran repository that were outside the galaxy and in two cases outside that universe.

Together Harry and Merlin had created Sangraal technology on both a local scale and on a galactic scale. The technology would constantly scan all dimensions in a one-light-year distance from Harry's position. It would warn him via neural link of any Ascended nearby. The variant Harry kept with at all times would be able to neutralize any Ascended in a several kilometer radius of his position. He would have plenty of warning to decide what to do. If he needed to,

he could gain access to the version at one of his hidden bolt holes which would wipe the galaxy clean of Ascended. That was not something he ever planned to do lightly. Ascension didn't exactly appeal to Harry. He enjoyed being flesh and blood too much. Maybe he would feel differently in the future. But for now, he was content to be corporeal. He just didn't want the ascended interfering in his business.

The Third Task

Harry stood before the Triwizard Cup staring at it. He could sense the portkey spell on the cup. In the end he reached out and took the cup. He felt himself being pulled to the ultimate destination. Cedric Diggory was not with him. Harry had blown through the maze in very little time. When Harry landed he had gone out of phase while an HFR version of him was visible. Harry guided the HFR as it was bound up by Barty Crouch Junior back in his original form. It seemed Barty had rigged a second portkey to take him to his master at the same time as the Triwizard Cup.

Harry watched as the ritual completed. The blood taken from the HFR was actually blood taken from Auror Dawlish of the DMLE. Harry had found the man to be particularly incompetent. But he was no friend of Voldemort's. When Voldemort summoned his followers, Harry let it happen. The moment he had been waiting for when Voldemort gave a particular order occurred.

"Barty, return Harry his wand. He will die with a wand in his hand as we duel," Voldemort ordered.

"That won't be necessary Tom," Harry said smoothly as he materialized standing next to his HFR.

Where moments before the HFR had been appearing dazed and disoriented yet defiant, it was now smirking.

"What magic is this?" Voldemort demanded as he stared between the two versions of Harry.

The actual Harry looked calm and collected ready for a fight. Suddenly every magical present vanished from the graveyard. They reappeared in the quidditch pitch of Hogwarts. The shrubs of the Triwizard maze were gone. Voldemort's death eaters were all de-masked and bound. They were sitting on a bench that had been conjured sitting on the sidelines. Surrounding the quidditch pitch was a glowing force-field of incredible strength projected by the cloaked Marauder.

"Ladies and Gentlemen," Merlin called out as his voice carried over the crowd. Even as Merlin spoke Lord Voldemort could be seen throwing his power against the force-field which contained him in a box about the size of a muggle prison cell. An enraged Voldemort found he could not break free of the force-field. The power he brought forth was terrible to behold indeed. Merlin was standing in the middle of the pitch. Harry was standing not far off. "I am the wizard you

know as Merlin."

The gasps of the crowd could be heard. Dumbledore was at the outside of the force-field testing it to see if he could get through. A swarm of Aurors with Amelia Bones was nearby trying to do the same.

"You came here tonight to see a spectacle. You are about to get more than you ever bargained for. Standing before you is the reborn Dark Lord Voldemort," Merlin said. There were many screams from the crowd. "He anchored himself to this plane of existence using foul creations called Horcruxes. No more do these exist. My apprentice and successor Harry James Potter has destroyed them," Merlin said. Voldemort looked pale now. He could only hope not all were destroyed. "Voldemort hoped to return tonight and begin his reign of terror anew."

Harry noted Fleur and Victor standing on the side of the pitch outside the force-field looking on. Hermione walked up to them and began talking to them. Neville and Harry's other friends joined her.

"I think it is time for Voldemort to hear the full prophecy," Harry said, his voice also carrying. "Quite right," Merlin said before raising his hand and causing a glowing sphere to appear.

The sphere grew in size until it was as big as a bus. Everyone watched mesmerized as Trelawney gave the full prophecy to Albus Dumbledore. None was more surprised than Trelawny herself sitting in the stands.

"Now Voldemort it is time to meet your equal. His name is Harry James Potter, Successor to Merlin, The-Man-Who-Lived, The Chosen One, and Soon to be The-Man-Who-Conquered," Merlin said. "This fight is to the death. None shall interfere. I shall make sure of that."

Merlin vanished and so did the part of the force-field keeping Voldemort in.

"Come on Tommy Boy," Harry called with a dangerous gleam in his eyes. "Let's dance mother- fucker."

Harry struck forward with his wand. A bolt of lightning thicker than Harry's thigh shot from his wand and slammed into the shield Voldemort threw up. Voldemort's response was a beam of dark black light that would have stolen the soul away from someone unprotected. Harry's shield of purest white magic stopped it cold.

After initially testing one another the fight was on. Those witnessing the battle were treated to the most spectacular duel they had ever heard of. It surpassed the famous duel between Dumbledore and Grindelwald. Harry dodged, shielded, and counterattacked. But he did not throw his full might into the battle. He wanted everyone to see just what Voldemort was capable of. Harry fought back while making it seem like he was very focused. And he was focused making sure there were no mistakes. But he was by no means putting all of his power into it.

After fifteen minutes of ferocious dueling Voldemort had a crazed gleam in his eyes. Despite everything he had thrown at Potter, the boy was still standing strong. The ground between them was a ruined blackened mess. Voldemort was truly becoming frightened now. He had been leaching magic off of his followers using their dark mark. Potter had withstood all of that destruction.

"Are you ready to die now Tom?" Harry asked into the silence as Voldemort panted and tried to catch his breath. "Are you ready to face your greatest fear?"

"Never," Voldemort screamed and renewed his attack.

The crowd had seen enough. Harry summoned one of his swords into his hand. He wasn't even cognizant of which one at this point. He flipped and spun through the air. When he was close enough he simply shielded from everything Riddle threw at him and surged forward to bury his blade in Voldemort's chest. The magical attack from Voldemort cut off then as he clutched at the sword embedded in his chest.

"No," Voldemort wheezed out as his lungs flooded with blood. "Yes Tom. This is the end," Harry said.

Harry drew a dagger and slit Voldemort's throat. Voldemort's magically created body gave out from the trauma. Harry pulled out his sword and decapitated the dead dark lord. He then held out his left hand and wandlessly summoned a stream of fire. He burnt the body.

The crowd broke into a spectacular cheer at this turn of events. It didn't die down for some time. The crowd grew silent a few minutes later when Merlin reappeared.

"This man is my chosen successor in my legacy. I felt his power and destiny call to me across time and came to aid him. But make no mistake. That which you just witnessed laying low Voldemort was all him. If you are wise you will listen to him. My last word is that these so called Death Eaters," Merlin said as he gestured towards the bound and gagged Death Eaters nearby. "Shall not escape justice under my watch. They are no longer with magic. I have taken this gift from them for they have abused it."

Then Merlin disappeared and the force-field disappeared. Hermione rushed towards her lover and leapt into his arms. She wrapped her legs around him and crushed her lips to his. Tears streamed down her eyes as she passionately kissed him.

Harry had many questions to answer. But they were only questions, not demands for answers. Even Dumbledore treaded cautiously around Harry after the display of power and skill he had just witnessed. The Death Eaters were indeed proven to have no magic.

After that day Harry Potter's legend was firmly in the history books. He was contacted by many magical heads of state extending invitations to visit their country. In later years they would seek his advice on important matters. He tasked several HFRs to answer these requests. Harry continued to study at Hogwarts. But his teachers quickly realized that it was only so he could spend time with his friends. By the time Harry and Hermione graduated in 1997 they had both earned masteries in all the core subjects plus Arithmancy and Runes.

They became engaged in their sixth year and married the day after they graduated. Both of them were physically twenty-five years old when they graduated. They arrested their age at that point using the elixir of life.

July 3rd, 1998

Harry had been silently watching the exploits of SG-1 for the past year trying to decide the perfect time to introduce himself. He had confined himself to the mountain and offworld missions not allowing himself to stray into Sam's personal life. He didn't want to know if she had a boyfriend at home even though he was secretly curious. He had chosen this date to interfere because it was the day that Jolinar of Malkshur died.

Samantha Carter sat in her cell within the SGC as the alarm blared wondering what was going on. She was afraid for her life. She wondered if the Ashrak that was hunting the symbiote within her would come for them. She didn't know if the bracelet on her wrist would protect her from the Ashrak like it had protected her from virtually all major injury since Harry had given it to her. It hadn't protected her from being taken over by the symbiote within her. But then again given the memories she had access to that could be because Jolinar was Tok'ra. She thanked her lucky stars that the bracelet hadn't been removed when she had been imprisoned here. They had seemed to ignore the bracelet.

When the Ashrak walked into the room, Sam realized the bracelet's abilities were about to be put to the test.

"Jolinar, by order of the system lords you are sentenced to die," Varush said as he raised the weapon on his right hand to kill her.

That was when a beam of red light washed over Varush and he dropped to the ground like a puppet with his strings cut. Then he was there. The man of Sam's dreams was standing before her looking older. There was also a woman standing next to him.

"Jolinar of Malkshur, you are within one who is a friend of mine. I have saved your previous host Rosha. Return to her," Harry commanded as his eyes seemed to glow with a green light.

"How is this possible? I watched Rosha die," Jolinar said. "I watched you die," Jolinar added while looking at her former host.

"He saved me. Do not question it," Rosha said. "Return to me. They will never let you leave in Captain Carter. But in me perhaps."

Jolinar only nodded. Rosha came forward. Jolinar met her at the bars. Harry couldn't look away. He knew the women weren't really kissing. But it sure looked like it. He sensed as Jolinar left Sam and returned to Rosha. He was behind her then catching her before Sam could fall to the floor. His right hand closed over her throat and healed it from the symbiote leaving her.

"Harry," Sam said in confusion as she looked up at him.
Her mind was overwhelmed.
"Rest Sam," Harry said as he sensed she was losing consciousness. "I've got you."

Sam woke several hours later in the infirmary. When she woke up it was to find she was in a hospital bed in the infirmary. There was a woman she had never seen before sitting next to her bed.

"Oh good. You're awake," Hermione said. "Dr. Frasier," Hermione called. "Sam," Janet said as she entered the room. "How are you feeling?"
"Fine," Sam said. "I've got a little bit of a headache. What's going on?" "Do you remember the Tok'ra symbiote?" Janet asked.

"Yes. Jolinar," Sam said.

"I'm told an Ashrak was about to kill you both when our new ally Harry intervened," Janet explained.

"Where is he?" Sam asked.

"Speaking with your General Hammond convincing him that we are friends," Hermione said. "I'm Hermione. I'm with Harry." Sam wondered what she meant by with Harry. "Dr. Frasier, could Major Carter and I have a few minutes to talk?"

Janet looked at Hermione and could see there was something going on here that required discretion. From what Janet understood the two mysterious allies had proven in a short time that there was little anyone on this base could do to stop them. Their ability to walk through walls had proven as much. Janet was wondering how that conversation with General Hammond was going.

"Of course," Janet said. "I'll be right outside if you need me." Janet left. Hermione wondered the best way to begin.

"As far as anyone around here knows we are two aliens that happened to be keeping an eye on things. They will know we have visited Earth. We don't plan on telling them right now that Harry has met you before," Hermione explained.

"Is he...is Harry really an alien?" Sam asked.

"Yes and no. Our species is not fully human. But Harry was born on Earth. I would appreciate you not sharing that fact with anyone," Hermione said. "I don't think Harry handled the situation with you very well. He has a lot of knowledge. I mean a lot. This knowledge contains things he really shouldn't know. He also has the ability to time travel at will which really complicates things."

Sam's eyes widened in awe at that revelation. "Wow," Sam said.

"Yeah," Hermione replied. "The amount of time that has passed for him is not the same as the amount that has passed for you."

"I see," Sam said as various scenarios ran through her mind.
"I can see why Harry was so attracted to you," Hermione admitted.

Hermione was using a little passive legilimency on Sam to see what the other woman was thinking.

"Oh?" Sam asked curiously.

"You're brilliant and you're gorgeous. You're one of the few that could hope to keep up with him. It's why he was so attracted to me as well," Hermione explained.

"You are with him then," Sam said as pain began to blossom in her heart.

Hermione sensed this and reached out to take Sam's hand.

"Before you get too depressed let me explain myself. Harry has fallen in love with both of us. I love that man dearly. I know you also love him. I can just tell. Even if you have dated since he left your life, no other man was able to compare. How could they? They are only human. And Harry, he's something else. There's something you have to understand about our universe. There are beings in it with true power. They might as well be considered gods. They make the Goa'uld look positively weak. One of these beings had a chat with me recently. Harry doesn't

know about it. But she convinced me of the benefits of sharing Harry with you," Hermione said. "I convinced Harry to let me talk to you first."

Sam was stunned and asked, "Why...how?"

"You want to know the mechanics of how that would work and why I would ever share him?" Hermione asked. Sam nodded. "Well how it would work would be simple. You, Harry, and I would live together. I have no inclination to have sex with a woman. I'll admit I may have had a mildly curious thought or two in the past. But I can assure you that this woman is only interested in men, one in particular. We would share Harry equally. I'm not going to lie and say that jealousy won't crop up from time to time. But I think I don't have a problem with it. I think I could work through that. I've obviously had a lot more time to think about this. As to the why there are many benefits. Harry and I are effectively immortal. You could be as well. It would certainly spice up the bedroom for another partner to be there. You know how men can be. Another reason is that men enjoy sex far more often than women do. I'm not saying I don't like it. I love it. But I can tell Harry holds back on my account. Another woman to help out with that could fully satisfy that man. I love him and want him to be happy."

Sam thought about things for a little while.

She voiced a question that her mind couldn't stop thinking about and said, "If you are immortal what's to stop Harry from getting bored with sex with even two of us after a while?"

"I have the ability to shape-shift. We call it being a metamorphmagus. Harry has the ability and altered my DNA to give it to me," Hermione explained as she shifted into a copy of Sam before Sam's eyes.

"Wait, if you could look like me then why the hell do you even need me?" Sam asked.

"Because Harry doesn't just love you for your body. It's also your mind he loves. And while yes I could in fact copy all of your memories into my mind that is not a pretty solution. That also doesn't negate the benefit of having a second woman to satisfy him," Hermione explained. "There are more reasons of course. I would be happy to discuss it with you at length later. But I can sense Harry and General Hammond approaching. This is just something to think about. Are you opposed to the idea of sharing? You can always change your mind later."

Sam had never really thought about it. But she was no dummy. She could think very quickly. It sounds like a good deal for her because otherwise she would never be able to be with her dream man.

"I am not opposed. I would like to discuss those details with you later. But there is something you need to know," Sam began.

Hermione's eyes widened as she picked up Sam's surface thoughts just as Harry and General Hammond entered the room. Hermione took in the characteristics of Sam's body she hadn't

consciously picked up on before. Sam's form had all the signs if you knew what to look for that she had given birth.

"Hermione," Harry asked in concern. "Are you alright?" He said while immediately picking up on her mood.

"Yes," Hermione managed to say. "I'll talk to you about it later. Sam is feeling fine. She is processing Jolinar's memories."

The tension left Harry's shoulders. That was the code phrase to let Harry know that Sam and Hermione had talked things over. It meant that they were ok. Harry had no idea that the two women had talked about sharing him. But he now knew Sam and Hermione could get along.

"Harry and Hermione are our new allies. They have apparently been keeping an eye on things on Earth for some time because their race the Alterans have been visiting Earth over the past several millennia. It was only recently that they returned for another visit. When they sensed that Jolinar was about to die they intervened," George explained. "The Tok'ra have zero population growth. The loss of any Tok'ra is very damaging to their cause."

"Thank you for saving my life," Sam said to Harry.
"You are quite welcome," Harry said while his eyes met hers.

There was a heated gaze between the two which Harry was forced to end, uncomfortable with his wife present.

"Harry has said that his people will probably make him an ambassador to Earth now that he has revealed himself to us and that we have reached a certain stage of development," George added.

"Yes. I believe you will be seeing a lot more of Hermione and I," Harry said. "Well I look forward to working with you," Sam said.

Sam pulled into her driveway. It was already dark out. She could see her parents already had Evan and Emma in bed judging by the state of the house. Sam was grateful for that. She wouldn't have to face her children knowing the complicated situation with their father. Jacob and Linda Carter opened Sam's front door and came out to greet her. That was when things got strange.

Harry and Hermione appeared on the front lawn without a sound. Jacob had his gun drawn and aimed at the two new arrivals within moments.

"I'm sorry for showing up unannounced," Hermione said. "But he needs to know. He doesn't know they exist."

"I'm so confused," Harry admitted.

"Dad, lower your gun. This is Harry," Jacob and Linda's eyes widened. Jacob looked like he debated raising the gun again. "It's alright," Sam said looking at Harry and Hermione. "I'm glad you came. It has just been a long day. Janet wouldn't release me without a lot of medical tests. And I had to answer a lot of questions about the one you rescued despite you vouching for her."

"I can sense a classified conversation when I hear it," Jacob said. "All George told me was that you were delayed in the infirmary. Are you alright Sammie?"

"I'm alright dad," Sam assured.

"Is this is a conversation you want us here for? Or do you want to have it alone?" Linda asked her daughter.

"I think it is a conversation I should have with them alone," Sam said.
"We'll be inside if you need us," Linda said as she led Jacob next door into their house. "Come on in," Sam invited.

Harry and Hermione looked around. Harry immediately spotted the many family photos showing Jacob, Linda, Sam, and two children. Harry's mind immediately started taking notice of some things. Even as his mind processed the age of the children along with their bright green eyes and distinctive Potter looks Hermione led him to the couch.

"Sam, whose children are those?" Harry asked quietly. "Yours," Sam answered.

Harry closed his eyes and both women looked at him for his reaction. Hermione could sense his pain.

Harry opened his eyes and met Sam's gaze while saying, "I am so sorry I wasn't here to help you raise them."

"It has been a bit of a struggle. But my parents have been great," Sam admitted. "I'm not saying I'm letting you off the hook. The jewelry you left me certainly helped. It was how I could afford this place."

"What are their names?" Hermione asked.
"Evan Michael Carter and Emma Linda Carter. We didn't know your real last name," Sam

explained. "They were born May 1st, 1988. I have some questions. They have abilities. Abilities they can't control."

Harry and Hermione looked at each other.

"We come from a hidden society of beings that are technologically regressed. The members of our society have abilities. The technological regression causes our people to believe our abilities are magic. As such we call ourselves witches and wizards respectively," Hermione explained as she pointed to first herself and then Harry.

"But it isn't magic," Sam surmised.

"Magic is simply that which is not understood, and which can seemingly defy the known laws of physics. Even the magic of the wizarding world has principles that make it repeatable and understandable to a degree. I'm not going to say I know everything about what makes up magic. Our ancestors even after studying the universe for as long as they did didn't know everything. But they knew enough that they certainly didn't call it magic," Harry said.

"Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic," Sam said with a nod which Harry and Hermione also nodded along with. Sam had quoted Clarke's Law. "So where does this leave everything?"

Sam glanced at Hermione while wondering if this changed Hermione's idea to share. "This changes nothing," Hermione said. "Harry, I want to share you with Sam."

Harry's head whipped towards Hermione so fast the two ladies were surprised his neck didn't crack. The look of bewilderment on his face was profound.

"Sam, I'm about to question my wife in ways that I do not wish to hurt you. Please excuse us momentarily while I put up a silencing barrier," Harry said.

Sam watched in fascination as Harry waved his fingers and caused the sound coming from the mouths of the two across her to vanish. This must have been what he put up to keep the children from overhearing their conversation. The couple then seemed to have a heated debate.

"Is this a test of some sort?" Harry asked Hermione immediately after the barrier went up.

"It is not a test," Hermione assured. "I have no interest in Sam in a romantic or sexual way. But I know that you do no matter how much you try to hide it."

"I value my relationship with you too much to ever let anything with Sam get in the way," Harry said. "I love you."

"I love you too," Hermione said. "And I think we can make this work without letting it tear us apart. I'm not saying it will be easy," She added. "But I think it is worth it."

"I'm rather terrified we can't make it work," Harry admitted. "Why do you think it will be worth it?"

Hermione launched into a list of reasons she had derived after her conversation outside of the universe.

"Do you agree?" Hermione asked.

"I...I can't help but wonder if my life is being tampered with by some higher power that placed me in this universe," Harry admitted. "I did not ever expect these circumstances to happen. I'm not going to lie and say the idea of being with both of you doesn't very much turn me on. But again, you are my first priority. I just hope that allowing myself to fall in love with both of you doesn't change that. Promise me that if this shared relationship ever gets to be too much for you that you will tell me first and give me the chance to fix it."

Hermione understood that fix it likely meant to end things with Sam.

"I promise I will tell you. But that isn't fair to Sam. I plan to find in myself the ability to adapt," Hermione said. "Rather than being stuck in my ways."

Hermione took down the silencing barrier and looked at Sam saying, "He agreed."

Sam looked to Harry who nodded before he said, "I agree. I'm still processing. But I agree."

"So what now?" Sam asked.

"Well I figured the two of you would start dating. Harry and I will still go out on our own dates. But you'll be dating with my full knowledge," Hermione added.

"And if these dates lead to anything sexual?" Sam clarified. "Then it is with my full blessing," Hermione added.
"Do you want to be present or not?" Sam asked.
Hermione turned her head to one side as if thinking.

"Give me some time to think about that," Hermione admitted. "I have no desire to be with you sexually Sam. Sorry, I'm just not wired that way. But sharing him that way could be interesting. I wouldn't lose my mind if we brushed up against each other or something. But this girl is wired only for men."

"I would say Harry likes that idea very much," Sam said with a grin as she nodded towards Harry's crotch.

"Oh," Hermione said with surprise as she noticed the very visible bulge in her husband's pants. "He does indeed."

Harry shifted in his seat uncomfortably before adjusting himself. Both women watched. "Where do the two of you live?" Sam asked.
"You understand that none of this can be shared with those at the SGC at this time," Harry said. "I do," Sam confirmed.
"We have our home in England. But we also have off-world assets," Hermione explained.

"But I think we will be buying a house here in Colorado Springs too so we can be closer," Harry said. "We will tell the SGC about that one. I think it is a good idea for an ambassador to live close by after all."

Hermione was nodding along with that.

"I have an idea. Why don't you, Evan, and Emma come join us for some time at Potter Manor. You could stay a few days or even weeks depending on how much time you have available from work," Hermione suggested. "That way we could get to know you and the kids better. And they would get to see some sights. We could show you around non-magical and magical England."

Sam wasn't going to lie. The prospect of getting to learn more about this hidden culture was exciting. And the thought of getting to spend more time with Harry was also exciting.

"General Hammond gave me two weeks off to recover from the Jolinar incident," Sam admitted. "We accept your offer."

"Excellent," Hermione said with a smile. "We'll have Dobby prepare extra rooms." "Dobby?" Sam asked.

"He's a house elf. We'll explain that and more when you come over. How long do you need to be ready?" Hermione asked.

"We can be packed and ready by noon tomorrow," Sam said.

"We'll pick you up at noon then. We can have lunch at the manor," Hermione suggested. "How do you want to introduce Harry to Evan and Emma?"

"I'll tell them the truth. That he is their father," Sam said. "I'd like that," Harry said. "We'll let you get some sleep."

Harry and Hermione rose as did Sam. The three didn't look like they knew what to say. So, Hermione stepped forward and gave Sam a friendly hug. When they drew back Sam looked at Hermione in surprise.

"How far along are you?" Sam asked as she glanced down at Hermione's belly.

"A little less than two months," Hermione answered. "I'm wearing an illusion which prevents anyone from being able to tell by sight alone."

"That's handy," Sam said. "It looks like Emma and Evan are about to get a sibling. I'm sure they will be pleased."

"Siblings," Hermione said. "It seems this one only knows how to make twins, a boy and a girl to be exact."

"Oh wow," Sam said with surprise while glancing at Harry. "Is that intentional?" Sam asked. "Consciously, probably not. Subconsciously, maybe," Hermione mused.

"I could leave you two to chat away the night. But I really think we should all get some sleep," Harry said.

"Oh please. We both know you're going to have to use a sleep spell to get to sleep after this or I'm going to have to take care of that not so little problem to knock you out," Hermione said. "I could demonstrate for Sam how easy it is to knock you out," She teased.

"That might be interesting to see," Sam added with a smirk also getting in on the act of teasing him.

"You two are going to be the death of me," Harry complained. "Goodnight Sam," Hermione said as she wrapped her arm around Harry. "Goodnight Hermione, Harry," Sam replied.
"Goodnight," Harry added.

Then the couple vanished from Sam's living room. She shook her head and went to grab a shower while thinking about all the revelations that had happened that day. One thing was for sure. They were in for interesting times ahead.

Noon The Next Day, Colorado Springs
"Good afternoon Sam," Harry greeted as she allowed Harry and Hermione in the front door.

"Hello," Hermione added.

"Hello you both," Sam replied as she led the way into the living room where a very much awake Emma and Evan were sitting on the couch with packed suitcases nearby. Sam immediately went over and knelt in front of their children. She looked them in their eyes. "Evan, Emma, I want you to meet someone. This is your father Harry and his wife Hermione."

Harry came forward and looked at the two while saying, "Hello."

"This is our daddy?" Emma asked with wide-eyes as she looked up at Harry and drank in the sight of him.

"Yes honey," Sam confirmed.

"Where...where have you been?" Evan asked.

Harry swallowed at the longing in his son's voice.

"I have been in England learning magic and then fighting in a war. I'm sorry I wasn't here. I didn't know I had a son and a daughter or I would have been here sooner," Harry said.

"Magic?" Evan asked. "Is that what we can sometimes do?"

Before Harry could answer Emma was off the couch and hugging him around his midsection. Harry hugged her back as his eyes grew moist at the sensation of hugging his little girl. Hermione and Sam both silently had tears in their eyes. Evan also rose and joined the hug at a slower pace. As Harry rubbed their backs he channeled cheering charms into his children. When the hug eventually ended Harry took in his children.

They both looked like the perfect mixture of himself and Sam. They would both be real-lookers as they got older.

"Yes. Magic is what you can do. I have so much to show you," Harry said. The two appeared excited.

Two Days Later, Potter Manor

Sam woke up to the smell of a fresh cup of coffee beside her bed. The smell was wonderful. She also saw a silver covered tray she had no doubt contained a delicious breakfast just how she liked it. This was how she had woken every morning at Potter Manor.

"If Harry is trying to spoil me with his house elf and magic it is working! I already never want to leave," Sam said.

Her mind thought over the past three days. It had been a whirlwind. The first day Harry had taken all of them to Diagon Alley, the Ministry of Magic, and Hogwarts. Seeing those places had been quite the eye-opener. That first evening Sam had gone on her first date with Harry since being reunited. She had thought they would have changed too much to get along. That simply wasn't true. They still had their undeniable chemistry. It had been difficult to resist falling right back into bed with him. Instead, they had ended the night with a kiss. It had been a smoldering kiss that promised much more.

The next day had been spent with getting to know one another. Harry spent time with Emma and Evan individually taking them flying and exploring the grounds of his home. They got to meet their Potter family present on the large property. Hermione had also taken the time to get to know each of the children and also Sam herself. Sam very much appreciated how welcoming Hermione was and had found a fellow lover of knowledge in the beautiful witch. The evening of the second night had been spent on another date. This one had ended in some steamy making out. This was the second full day after they had come to Potter Manor. Sam heard a knock at the door which brought her out of her musings.

"Come in," Sam called.
"Good morning," Hermione greeted as she entered the room wearing a silk nightgown. "Good morning," Sam replied as she sat up in bed wearing her own nightgown.
"How did you sleep?" Hermione asked.
"Wonderfully. This bed is sinfully comfortable," Sam said. "How did you sleep?"

Smiling, Hermione said, "The beds in the wizarding world are enchanted to help a person sleep better. At least the higher end beds are enchanted that way. The beds in Potter manor are all higher end. It was something I really loved about this place when I first started living here. I slept great. You really got Harry worked up on your date. I was reaping the benefit."

"He got me pretty worked up too," Sam admitted.

"I figured. That is why I am here. I think you are both hesitating to take the next step because of me," Hermione said.

"The thought had crossed my mind," Sam agreed.

"I thought it would be good for you and I to spend the day with Harry and see where things lead," Hermione suggested. "James and Lily have agreed to watch Emma and Evan. I think they are planning to introduce them to some of Harry's extended friends and family."

"That sounds like a good idea," Sam said. "Are you expecting things to lead to the bedroom?"

"I very much hope so," Hermione said. "Are you OK with that?"

"I should be asking you that. I am very much ok with that," Sam said.

"I am too," Hermione agreed. "I'll let you get ready for the day. Harry is already up entertaining the kids."

"I take it Harry is still full of energy even after a night of sex?" Sam asked.

"He is at that. He seems to have only gotten more energized by sex the older he gets," Hermione said with a shake of her head in bewilderment. "I think it has something to do with his magical power growing."

"It will give him more energy to deal with all the children," Sam said with a grin as she began eating breakfast.

"It will at that," Hermione said before leaving the room.

Sam devoured the meal while appreciating her bracelet Harry had gifted her even more. She wished she had known of all the features it contained when she first got it. Harry had answered questions about it her first day here including about its features. Apparently, she had never needed to exercise from the point on she put the bracelet on. The bracelet would maintain her physique. Her muscles would never atrophy from lack of exercise. And any excess calories she ate would not go into stored fat. Sam considered this a wonderful gift.

She continued to muse over the magical world as she got ready.

July 17th, 1998

When Sam stepped back into the SGC on Friday morning it was both exciting and also something she wasn't sure she wanted to do. On one hand she loved her job. On the other she had found the last two weeks to have been absolutely wonderful. After that day-date with both Harry and Hermione had ended up with all three of them in bed together the tone had been set for the remainder of their days there. Harry still spent time getting to know his children. But the three adults could often be found spending time together both in and out of the bedroom. James and Lily had been all too eager to spend time with their grandchildren. Sam, Harry, and Hermione had been all too eager to spend time together. Thinking about her time in the bedroom still brought heat to Sam's loins. It wasn't like she would be losing out on that. Harry had worked out a portal system in her home.

Having one of her doorways lead to a doorway in Potter Manor with a tap on a special spot on the door was wonderful. She could step through after a day at work and find herself in the

magical comforts of the English home. Dobby had even started cleaning Sam's house here. Sam went to report for duty and found General Hammond in the conference room with Harry and Hermione.

"Major Carter," General Hammond greeted. "Come in. I was just working out some of the particulars of the time Ambassador Harry and Ambassador Hermione will spend on Earth. Was your vacation enjoyable?"

"It was very relaxing Sir," Sam confirmed while trying to resist blushing and glancing at Hermione and their lover. "It's good to see you again Ambassadors."

"Please Major, call us Harry and Hermione," Harry invited. "Then please call me Sam," Sam replied.

"It's actually good that you are here. Harry and Hermione have located a home they wish to buy while living here in Colorado Springs. As it so happens it is located right next to yours. They realized where it is located and want to make sure it isn't an imposition to you if they lived there," George explained.

"We could easily pick another house," Hermione offered genuinely.

"I have no problem with that. I apologize in advance if my munchkins are overly troublesome," Sam said with an easy smile.

"No apologies necessary. We love children," Hermione said.

"Harry and Hermione as well may occasionally join SG-1 on some of their missions or other SG teams. They will also be helping Earth in the development of starships and other beneficial technologies," George explained excitedly.

"While it is not in our people's policies to give out our own technology we are more than happy to give you a specimen of another race's technology and help you to understand it. To that end we have delivered two Goa'uld Ha'tak class vessels. One is meant for study by dissecting the systems while the other is meant for a live example of that technology in action. We hope to help you and your fellow scientists to understand and reverse-engineer these technologies," Harry explained.

Sam hadn't known about this and was stunned. "That is amazing. Thank you both," Sam said.

"I want you to work with the ambassadors on this Major whenever your offworld duties do not carry you away. Already the president is increasing the R&D department's budget. You are being sent additional scientists to work under your supervision. I don't want you to worry about paperwork slowing you down. You are being assigned an administrative assistant. The

president considers the reverse engineering of this ship to be of the highest priority. I had to convince him not to pull you off SG-1 and put you on this project full time. The extra help is in that effort to keep you on SG-1," George explained.

"Thank you, Sir. I appreciate it," Sam said.
They talked out the details some more and then returned to working.
