Chapter 259 - Chapter 259: Pink Memories

Chapter 259: Pink Memories

"It's all your fault. What should we do now? We've already alerted the suspect, haven't we?" Tommy kept complaining about Tony after coming out of the classroom. Tony waved his hands impatiently: "I just wanted to catch that bastard and exchange him for five million. Who knew that those students were carrying knives!"

Ron said as if it was commonplace: "What do you think? This is New York. It's a tough city, and you haven't heard that things can get dangerous fast?"

"I was almost scared to death just now," Tony said with lingering fear: "No, I really need to use the bathroom when I talk about being scared. I'm going to the restroom. Tommy, partner, do you want to come?"

"No, you two go together. I'm going to find a bar outside to sit for a while, and then I'll go find my old mentor. I haven't seen him for a long time. Since I'm in New York, I might as well go and visit him."

Ron waved his hand. He didn't want the two unlucky guys to get cornered in the bathroom together, and he wasn't interested in being stripped down and running wildly through the street.

With his temper, anyone who dared to treat him like that would have been dealt with permanently long ago. But Ron was quite interested in watching others get into embarrassing situations.

He walked out of the building, strolled around a few blocks casually, and finally stopped at an Irish pub, intending to go in for a drink.

But for some reason, when Ron walked into the bar, everyone's eyes unconsciously focused on him. And what surprised Ron the most was that all the patrons were men!

All of them were burly men wearing vintage leather jackets, some even wearing bandanas, the typical American biker outfit.

Ron felt a little uneasy at being stared at. Could this be a particular kind of establishment?

Wait!

The more Ron looked at these people, the more familiar they seemed. Finally, he remembered: this seemed to be the bar where Tony would end up dancing in this crazy situation!

That being said, there's going to be something entertaining to watch soon.

Ron walked over to the bar, slapped his card on it, and gently rang the bell: "Give me a Lone Star beer, and I'll buy the round!"

Ron raised his beer: "Cheers to the Giants!"

"Cheers to the Giants!" Everyone happily raised their glasses and celebrated, and the awkward atmosphere immediately became lively again.

In the United States, almost everyone is interested in sports, except for nerdy types like Sheldon.

So whenever you're at a standstill in a conversation with a stranger, turning the conversation to the local sports team is always a good idea.

New York City has three most well-known sports teams: the Knicks of the NBA, the Yankees of Major League Baseball, and the NFL's long-standing powerhouse, the Giants.

The Knicks' popularity has waned in recent years due to their poor record. While the Yankees are popular, their support is mostly from New York natives.

This group of people didn't look anything like typical Yankees fans, which only made Ron think of his home state of Texas. And considering the sign at the entrance, it was undoubtedly a group of Irish working-class guys.

So, there was only one correct answer: the Giants!

Leveraging the Giants topic and his natural charm, Ron quickly became a friendly presence, even earning everyone's respect with a rendition of a classic rock ballad.

"Ron, you've got some pipes on you!" The biker gang leader personally approached Ron and clinked glasses with him. "How long have you been singing? I've been trying to learn guitar for five years, and I'm still not as good as that performance."

"Practice makes perfect. Music is a universal language," Ron raised his glass.

The biker gang leader clinked glasses with him. "Sometimes when you have time, can you teach me some songs? I've always wanted to impress someone special."

At the end of his words, the biker gang leader's expression was surprisingly shy, and Ron was almost taken aback. "Brother, you don't look like the shy type!"

Luckily, at that very moment, the person Ron had been waiting for finally arrived.

Three panicked men ran into the bar. Who else could it be but Tony and his companions?

"Partner, why are you here?" Tony was also surprised to see Ron.

"What else would you be doing in a bar if not drinking? Unlike your striptease routine?" Ron walked up to Tony with amusement, pulling at the waistband of his bright shorts and letting it snap back. "Having a rough day?"

"Ah~" Tony yelped: "Partner, you're cruel! Help us hide!"

Ron pointed to the area behind the bar next to the boss, and the three of them hurriedly ducked inside. When Ron returned to his seat, he found that the biker leader was staring at him: "Ron, was that your boyfriend just now?"

"How is that possible? I'm straight, and that guy is my partner. We work together."

The boss looked hopeful: "Then can you introduce him to me?"

"Of course." Ron sold Tony out without hesitation, and nodded at the door: "As long as you can help him solve his trouble, I think he'll be grateful.

You should know that in traditional American culture, there's always been a practice of showing appreciation to your rescuer."

At the door of the bar, the Little Italy crew headed by Sal Guccione swarmed in. A tall and thin lieutenant shouted to the people with unfriendly faces: "I want three guys in their underwear!"

"Huh~"

Three burly men in the bar immediately started unbuttoning their shirts, revealing the strong muscles underneath.

"You're messing with me?" The lieutenant roared in anger. Sal's men drew their pistols, "I want those specific guys!"

The bikers, of course, were ready for this, immediately raising their weapons: shotguns, rifles, handguns... a wide variety of firearms.

The Little Italy gang instantly lost momentum. Beads of sweat streamed down Sal's face. With a pale complexion, he pulled his phone from his pocket. "Hey, Uncle Vinny, you called me back for dinner? Okay, I'll be right back..."

Pretending to be on the phone, he slunk out dejectedly.

Only after everyone had left did Tony, Tommy, and Steve peek out from behind the bar.

"Are they all gone?"

"Of course."

"Thank you, thank you so much, partner. If it weren't for you, I would have been captured by them," Tony thanked him, carefully squeezing past each of the burly men.

"Are these your friends? Thank them for me. I'll buy them all drinks when this is over."

"They're friends of friends. Buying drinks is fine, but why don't you just express your gratitude right now?" Ron gave a mischievous smile, and Tony felt something was wrong.

"Now? I don't even have my wallet. How can I thank them?"

"No need to spend money, just sacrifice a little time."

Tony asked puzzledly: "Time?"

"And a little bit of your dignity." Ron clapped his hands. The guy who had been smart enough turned on the music. Ron stepped aside, making way for the strong man with a flower in his mouth.

The boss lifted Tony up in a dramatic pose. The atmosphere of the whole bar was filled with theatrical energy as upbeat music played.

The scene became quite the spectacle as Tony found himself the center of attention in this very awkward situation.
