I followed Shalltear into the building a few minutes later. She'd already cleared the lobby, vaporizing anything that moved. The walls were cracked, but her barrier magic kept the structure stable. She had even managed to find an intact couch—dusty, but functional.
"My lord," she said, bowing slightly as she gestured toward it, "a temporary resting area. Forgive the lack of elegance."
I smiled faintly. "It's perfect."
She brightened immediately, her eyes gleaming like polished rubies.
I sat down, leaning back and closing my eyes. For the first time since arriving, I let my mind wander.
I still didn't know which version of this world I was in.
Did Kamala Khan, Riri Williams, and Kate Bishop start their journeys? Or had they already become part of the undead legion that roamed these streets?
The thought was both interesting and unsettling.
If they were still alive, saving them could yield massive quest rewards.
If not… well, I'd at least be able to test how strong this world's zombified heroes really were.
Either way, I needed to start small. Clean out an area, gather information, and earn enough Quest Coins to unlock a world map or scanning ability.
My next target was to kill the hero zombie and see how many coins I could earn.
I opened my eyes and glanced at Shalltear, who stood by the window, parasol in hand, ever watchful.
"Tomorrow," I said quietly, "we start hunting."
She turned and smiled, her fangs glinting faintly in the moonlight. "As you command, my lord."

She turned and smiled, her fangs glinting faintly in the moonlight. "As you command, my lord."
Since I couldn't just sit around doing nothing, I decided to go for a walk alone.
Technically, it was to "get familiar with the terrain," but honestly, I was just bored.
The city was dead silent as I stepped out of the building. The air was thick with dust and decay, the faint stench of rot still lingering even after all these years. Skulls, bones, and tattered clothing lined the sidewalks like decorations for an eternal nightmare.
Each step I took echoed eerily through the empty streets.
The world felt abandoned, hollow—like even time had given up on it.
As I looked around, my gaze landed on a massive skyscraper standing defiantly against the crimson-tinted sky. It was half-collapsed, windows shattered, and walls cracked and burnt. Yet, somehow, it still stood tall, as if mocking the apocalypse around it.
I stared at it for a few moments, then smirked.
"…It's been a while since I tested my strength," I murmured.
After all, my power had changed. This body—reborn, alive, and fueled by something far beyond simple mana—felt different. Denser. Wilder. Stronger. But I hadn't measured how much stronger yet.
And that skyscraper?
It looked like a good test subject.
I stepped closer, making sure there were no signs of movement around me. No zombies. No creatures. Nothing but the whispering wind brushing past the ruins.
"Perfect."
I clenched my fist.
At that moment, the air around me shifted—thickened. The pressure in the area surged, cracks spreading through the nearby asphalt just from the energy leaking off me. Then, I pulled my arm back and threw a single punch forward.
The impact didn't land on the skyscraper—it didn't have to.
The shockwave hit first.
A violent burst of energy exploded outward from my fist, rushing through the city like a miniature earthquake. The ground trembled beneath my feet, and in the distance, the skyscraper shuddered violently.
Then, with a deep, echoing boom, it crumbled.
Glass shattered like raindrops. Steel beams bent and snapped. The entire structure collapsed in on itself, sending up a pillar of dust and debris that reached into the blood-red sky.
I quickly stepped back, letting the blast wind wash over me. My coat fluttered in the turbulence as the ground quaked under the falling debris.
When the rumbling finally stopped, all that remained of the skyscraper was a smoking pile of rubble.
"…And that," I said with a faint, satisfied smile, "wasn't even my full power."
---
When I came home, Shalltear was waiting for me.
As I turned to face Shalltear, my eyes widened in surprise at the sight before me. There she stood, clad in nothing but her underwear and bra, a mischievous glint in her crimson eyes.
My initial shock quickly gave way to amusement as Shalltear's playful demeanor took center stage. With a suggestive tilt of her head and a seductive smile, she uttered the magic words that sent a shiver down my spine.
"Would you like to have dinner? Would you like to have a bath? Or perhaps... would... you... have... me?"
Peroroncino, you son of a bitch. Why do you have to make her flat if you plan to make her say that?
"I would have yo..." I don't finish my sentence as quickly, remembering my promise to give my dick some well-deserved rest.
"I don't hear you, Master, Nya~~~" Shalltear purred as she said that.
Crack
I can practically hear the imaginary sound of my determination breaking.
"You made a big mistake, Shalltear; you turned me on. And you are going to pay for that." I said as I picked her up and kissed her.
"Punish this naughty girl for turning you on, Master."
