Chris was left trembling after Felicity retracted her ice. And a mild, painful frostbite left his fingers entirely numb. He flexed them carefully, forcing a smile.
"T-Thank you, Lady Myers." He murmured. "I appreciate your restraint."
"You should." Felicity said flatly, turning her attention back to her tea.
Chris gave a nervous smile. "Of course." He set the cup down, nursing his throbbing hands. "And to be clear, even though he should normally be flagged by our system because of his very late awakening, Henry will not be treated as an anomaly. His awakening will be documented as normal, and I would ensure that he won't be isolated as a special case or subjected to unnecessary scrutiny."
Felicity nodded once. "Good."
Chris slowly rose from his seat. "I hope that settles the matter. I would hate for there to be any misunderstanding between us." He said calmly.
"I would too." Felicity said casually.
Chris forced another smile. Then he bowed toward Kira. "Elder Kira."
