It is said that zoltrak was blessed with divine power of wind...
The elf zoltrak was a powerful one among his tribe.
Soon years went by zoltrak who was a boy become a man.
And his father knowing his potential in magic got him into a magic warriors of the village.
Even when he joined them he didn't leaved his experimenting with magic.
As he kept tuning with magic and due to which he became first elf to achieve water affinity in their village.
And he also had affinity with fire magic and his wind magic was most superior among his kin.
Sooner as a duty of magic warrior he was send to protect other members of clan who went on for hunt or gather fruits and all his missions he went were very successful.
Sooner he started to clear out monsters and animals from their area.
He went from clearing small monsters to those beasts which would require a whole group of warriors working together for hours of making traps and ambushes in mere minutes.
As more time passed he defeated many monsters and warriors and magic
Warriors in his tribe sooner he was started to be respected as the strongest magic user in tribe.
Later, when village chief heard this he decided to challenge him to a duel in which zoltrak won easily and as decided zoltrak was made the new chief of the village.
But soon a disaster strucked.
Their neighbouring tribe attacked their main village caused major damages in their village.
And among the killed were his loved ones....
Due to heavy damages caused by that attack they had shift their place to more remote location for safety of their people.
But the retaliation came from them as zoltrak's tribe was able to not only push back the warriors of the enemies but also took their major territory back.
And zoltrak himself went deep into their lines and burnt their village's chief's house and forest around them in act of revenge.
This move hitted enemy tribe hard enough but they had maternal relationships with other ten tribes of elves in forest.
So due to those all ten tribes having familial relationships with them all the tribes declared war on him.
All of the elfdom against one tribe.
All of the eleven elven tribes against one tribe.
The war had not even started but from start they were doom to lose.
All the tribes united their warriors which Totaled for two thousand warriors during that times the total population of elves hadn't even exceeded ten thousand. So this was a impressive number for its age.
Not only two thousand warriors who were proficient in spear throwing and archery but they also untied their mages too which numbered in total a thousand.
The total numbers of United elven tribes were impressive three thousand army.
And what about zoltrak's own warriors?
Well their tribes own population was under thousand and also took significant losses under attack by the tribe before decreasing their numbers to below seven hundreds.
And so therefore decreasing their number of warriors too.
Zoltrak only had a hundred men in total
and he only had total fit ten mages with him.
And here comes the real twist...
Out of those ten mages only one was left alive who was zoltrak himself.
Other nine were assinated by other enemy tribemen in hiding.
"As you know I want to tell that best counter against a soldier is a magician and a counter against a magician is magician themselves."
"So at first they were fighting against all two thousand warriors and one thousand magician with only hundred warriors on their side with miniscule of ten magicians."
"So now they only had one magician left with them and a hundred warriors."
3000 against 110.
Getting decreased to 101 because nine people died.
"So even though zoltrak had warriors on his side they were pretty useless right against those magicians right?"
"Yes you are absolutely right about this zohan if even though they had their those nine magicians alive they would still have a fighting chance as they could have hold them out for some time and they could have breakthrough or retreat."
"As their group was much more smaller then that army they would had more mobility then those united tribes so they could have able to escape away."
"Although there would had been some causalities but the tribe could have been saved."
"But now this could not be done as now that would be impossible to do."
As mages of zoltrak's group were killed zoltrak tribe which was already on losing side become more and more weak as they had lost their main cards and main offensive weapon which were magicians now their fall and losing seemed inevitable.
"So, all elven elven tribes united against one small tribe bringing our total number of people to in their armies to three thousand of which they had two thousand warriors and one thousand mages which was unheard of their time."
Kind of we had world wars on earth these elfs had their own war of similar kind.
So even though zoltrak was a capable leader and capable mage who had defeated countless monsters and many warriors he just can't win against army which numbered in thousands right?" Zohann asked now fully hooked up in story.
That's what everybody believed and even those enemy tribes sended bribes to zoltrak's tribe's people to change side to their side so they could internally divide his tribe.
And this war between elven tribe was not any war as this war was later infamously called the
' Thousand mages war '
As this war becomed important part of elven history.
"So the strongest mage of that time VS
All the combined mages of that time."
"What do you think happened? Zohan?"asked sirius.
"So,did zoltrak finally lost against somebody right?" Asked zohan.
"Right ?"
"...right?"
"....right" zohan asked sirius again and again.
But there was a funny yet cocky smile on sirius's face as he spoke next words.
"Nah,he won "
