The reason behind the rise of zoltrak

"Even though he was a capable mage but winning against three thousand seems bit off." Zohan spoke to sirius getting little suspicious that maybe sirius was lying to him.
Or maybe this was just a case of over exerting the incident? Afterall this was common practice even on earth during middle ages where both sides claimed victory even though one side was on losing side.
So maybe that could be the case he thought.
"Well I what would I gain from lying to you kid?What I am saying is this incident is written in many elven records and human records so when go to some big cities out there you can check that out."
Well maybe he is not lying afterall thought zohan.
Afterall even earth itself there are many battles which are straight up disbelieving after all.
Most prime example of that would be battle of saraghi between Indian-british soldiers and afgani forces.
The Afghani forces were numbered in ten thousand and Indian-british soldiers numbered only twenty one people.
The force ratio between them was very crazy as although at the end they were losing they took down more than four hundred warriors of Afghans.
So yeah there were many instances of crazy battles in earth's history so maybe here also there could be many crazy battles too thought zohan.
"Oh I just forgot to add something." Spoke sirius remembering something.
"I think I just misspelled something." sirius said .
"He didn't fought those three thousand warriors with his hundred soldiers."
"He fought them alone,infact he defeated them in matter of minutes."
Now there was silence between both of them as only sound of tree leaves shaking and distant bird chirping could be heard.
Seriously like this kind of thing like...
Bruh is similar to what happens in novels and mangas with op MCs.
So this guy zoltrak was a MC type person who lived many years no, from the way sirius is telling me about him this is seriously very old tale it seems.
But how? Exactly was he able to defeat so many mages alone?how did managed to pull it off?
He obviously used some kind of overpowered spell type thing on those mages.
Maybe like making lighting fall down simultaneously?
Or that asteroid crashing spell which is used as most powerful spell in many mangas and novels.
If this is true here in this world and also similar here then many spells which were used in novels would also been used here.
But before that I need to learn magic first.
Afterall we starts by counting numbers then doing adding, subtraction, division....and then move to trigonometry and calculus and derivatives.
"So sirius tell me why zoltrak was able to win?" Asked zohann.
"Well because he was wind user and wind magic is my favourite magic that's why." Spoke sirius with one eye close.
Seriously here he goes in his self centric personality again thought zohan.
"Well jokes aside there were two reasons behind zoltrak's win in that battle." SIRIUS coughed and camed back on topic.
"Because not only he was strong but also he was very innovative."spoke sirius.
"Seriously that elven was ahead off his time." again Sirius spoke but this time he was praising zoltrak that was very rare of him.
Atleast for zohann who had seen that sirius was although good person but was sometimes too much of a self-centric person.
So this was kind of rare from Sirius.
"During that time zoltrak crafted ultimate spell of wind magic."
"Which has been tested in countless wars and battles."
"Even though the spell is older but is also one of the strongest spell of windmagic."
"Zoltrak"
"This spell was later named zoltrak in the respect of the magician who made this spell by elves and eversince this spell is known by this name."
"But what makes this spell so different from others? Afterall powerful spells could only used by powerful mages."zohan gave his reason.
Afterall in most novels and animes and mangas most powerful spells could only be used by powerful individual which would only include protagonist and his circle or their enemies.
Sirius who heard about this question nodded slightly and spoke zohan.
"Well this spell was not like any spells or powerful spells as this spell had special quality about itself."
"This spell could be used by any magician who has affinity with wind magic even if he has very less mana."
"Really?" Zohan asked.
Afterall this was little suprise afterall.
"Yes that's what makes this spell very deadly as this spell could use by even weakest magician."
"But well everything isn't sunshine and rainbows isn't it? There must be something off with this spell then yes?"
asked zohann.
Afterall if there is something powerful which could be done easily then something must be given.
Afterall nobody gives you millions of dollars for nothing.
Even if you are stealing them that also takes some effort.
So thing which gets available without any efforts must have their own consequences.
This was a simple rule of world.

"Yes you are right about it although this spell could be easily used by powerful magicians like it is streching up afterall they have mana inside of them."
" But those with less mana although could use them but it results in their mana wiping out and they could enter in coma or face severe internal injuries or even death."spoke sirius with serious tone.
"Mostly this spell is used as last effort in any kind of battle by low level magicians where their death is inevitable one way or another."
