Leon Treshvire leaned back in his expansive home office, going through some business quarterly reports.
His twin sons, Kai and Kaleb, sat across from him, papers and tablets spread out across the polished mahogany table, as they brainstormed some investment portfolios.
Leon's sharp gaze skimmed over a few sensitive files, pointing out pending contracts.
"Kai, I need your analysis on the Southern Gate acquisition," Leon said, tapping a pen against his desk. "These numbers don't add up. Someone is trying to play smart."
"Not for long, Dad," Kai said, pulling up the data on his laptop, when his phone buzzed sharply against the table. A glance at the screen made his expression tighten.
"Ruby," he muttered under his breath.
"Is everything alright, son?" Leon asked, his voice low, though the sharp edge of irritation was unmistakable.
Kai ignored him for a moment, as he answered the call. "Hey, beautiful..."
Kaleb scoffed, burying his nose deep in the folder she was working on.
