The drive back to the house was silent.
Natalia's grip on my hand never loosened. Her knuckles were white. Her breathing was deliberately slow in a way that told me she was fighting to maintain control.
When we pulled into the garage, she was out of the car before I'd even turned off the engine.
I followed her inside.
Up the stairs.
Into her room.
She locked the door behind us.
Then she was on me.
Her mouth found mine with desperate hunger. Her fingers clawed at my shirt. Her telekinesis slammed the curtains shut without her even looking.
"Natalia."
"Don't talk."
She shoved me onto her bed.
The mattress bounced beneath me as she climbed on top, straddling my hips with her thighs. Her purple hair fell around us like a curtain. Her violet eyes were wild with something between fear and need.
"I thought I was going to lose you again."
"You didn't."
