20 The Terror of Felix
After a period of complete and pure massacre, the battlefield fell into complete silence. Arnaldo's breathing broke the silence. Only five hunters and ten orcs remained, scattered like prey, their dead eyes trembling as they slowly struggled beneath the overwhelming presence of the most dignified Sword Saint.
Inspiring Presence Lv1
Arnaldo's Celestial authority descended upon his enemies like a verdict, suffocating every vestige of courage that might have remained within their dead eyes.
Using a combination of his skills and focusing on the Archangel's Palace, Arnaldo broke through the defenses of his opponents one after another until no warrior remained standing at his feet.
Arnaldo found himself in the middle of a room filled with corpses scattered across the cracked dungeon floor.
Just as Arnaldo was about to let out a sigh of relief after defeating all his enemies, something unexpected happened. The wall in front of him shattered, and a figure wrapped in purple lightning appeared.
Using the Archangel's Palace, Arnaldo attacked with a blow. The figure defended itself with a sword that absorbed the impact generated by the strike, but even so, the figure staggered backward.
"Leader, it's me, Alex."
The figure surrounded by purple lightning spoke hurriedly before Arnaldo could attack again.
"Sorry, newbie. You appeared so suddenly that I acted instinctively without thinking."
Arnaldo apologized, offering his hand to help Alex up.
"Leader, where are Felix and Miss Joana?"
Alex wondered when he didn't see his companions anywhere, but when he saw the carnage that had taken place there, he was completely chilled.
"Since we were separated, you are the first living person I have seen."
"Leader, did you hear anything?"
Alex asked, sharpening his senses. Arnaldo also focused his senses, trying to listen. Unlike Alex, he was able to discern much more, including their exact position.
"There are sounds of battle. I think it must be Felix. Let's go quickly. He must be in need of help."
Arnaldo spoke while covering his figure with a golden aura.
"Can you keep up with me at this speed?"
Arnaldo knew that Alex was very fast, almost as fast as himself, so he wanted to take the opportunity to find out.
"I am going to try."
With Excalibur in his hand, Alex was surrounded by a purple aura covered in lightning. Using his gravitational control, he greatly reduced his own weight.
Two rays, one purple and the other golden, crossed the dungeon, racing across both the ground and the walls.
Arnaldo and Alex entered the room. What they saw was a completely brutal battlefield.
The floor was covered in a carpet of torn flesh, black blood, and broken bones. The sight before their eyes was macabre.
Over 500 undead orcs lay torn to pieces. Their heads, yellowing tusks still visible, had been ripped from their bodies. Their torsos had been torn open, revealing stained viscera, green skin, and shredded black streaks. The metallic, rotten smell tickled their nostrils.
Mingled among the heaped bodies of the monsters were undead hunters, reduced to unrecognizable horrors. Some had been charred to charcoal, while others were riddled with numerous holes, resembling sieves.
The hunters' organs were completely scattered, as if they had exploded from the inside out. One of them was still writhing without its head until Platinum 1 crushed it with a single crack, scattering bone fragments and pieces of brain at Alex's feet.
And at the center of this massacre was Felix, a boy wearing a suit from the Hunters' Association. His appearance was now that of an eight-year-old boy.
Little Felix's face was streaked with blood, staining his childish cheeks. Seeing Alex and Arnaldo, he smiled as if he had just received new toys.
"Your Majesty, Sword Saint, thank goodness it's you. I'm very hungry. Do you have anything to eat?"
Walking on the legs of the Platinum 1 and Platinum 2 robots, Felix's belly rumbled slightly.
Alex swallowed hard, his eyes widening.
"Felix, how much HP do you have left?"
Arnaldo maintained a serious expression, but his hand tightened around his sword.
"I only have 20 HP left. I think I should leave the rest to you. Platinum 2 has located the boss room."
Felix said this as he made Platinum 1 sit down.
"What happened here?"
Joana also appeared, watching the massacre with a frown.
"Miss Joana, I'm glad you came."
Alex let out a sigh of relief upon seeing that everyone was safe and reunited once more.
"What shall we do now, leader?"
Joana asked Arnaldo after he explained the current situation to her.
"You protect Felix in this room. Alex and I will finish off the boss and complete the dungeon once and for all."
"Wouldn't it be better if I went with you and Alex stayed with Felix?"
"It would be, but you are stronger than Alex, and your abilities will definitely keep Felix safe."
"So the leader is saying that the strongest ones should stay, one with me and one with Alex?"
"Something like that. Alex is a newbie. This is his opportunity to gain experience."
Arnaldo said this while lightly tapping Alex on the shoulder.
"Okay, then use these."
Joana took four vials of potion and passed two to Alex and the other two to Arnaldo.
"Thanks."
Alex said, immediately drinking the potion and recovering his HP and MP.
"Wouldn't it be better if Felix took these potions instead of me? This way, we'll complete the dungeon much faster."
Alex expressed his curiosity, but the answer shocked him when Joana handed Felix a bag of candy and promptly said:
"Felix cannot eat anything other than sweets. Otherwise, he will fall into a state of weakness."
Felix himself laughed out loud in derision.
"Time is against us. Felix, where is the boss's room?"
"Deepest part. Boss room."
"Good luck to both of you."
Joana said as she led Felix out of the dungeon.
