Diego's Office - Monday Morning, 9:00 AM
I'm in a business meeting when my phone buzzes.
It's Austin.
I excuse myself and I take the call.
"Herrera," Austin says, and his voice sounds stressed. "We need to talk."
"What's wrong?" I ask.
"Rio's in the hospital," Austin says. "San Angel Hospital. He had some kind of episode Saturday night. Fever. Nightmares. He's been there since early morning."
My blood goes cold.
"Is he okay?" I ask.
"Physically, yes," Austin says. "But something else is going on. Something psychological. Lina found him and called the ambulance. She's been with him the whole time."
"Lina found him?" I ask, and I can't hide the relief in my voice.
"Yeah," Austin says. "Apparently he was having nightmares in his sleep. Really bad ones. Lina was in her study working and heard him shouting."
I think about Rio in that state. Rio vulnerable. It's hard to imagine.
"What kind of episode?" I ask.
