Chapter 262 - Chapter 262: Post-Battle Rest

Chapter 262: Post-Battle Rest

A few days later, Ultra Megalopolis returned to calm, and the damaged buildings were rebuilt. The casualties among people and Pokémon were quite heavy.

As for why Ho-Oh wasn't reviving everyone? That's because there were conditions for Ho-Oh's revival. The first point was that the death could not exceed three minutes, which already determined the fate of those who sacrificed themselves.

The second point was the consumption of its life essence. With Ho-Oh's strength, it could revive about a hundred Pokémon that hadn't mastered origin power in one go, and only about five that had mastered it. As for Domain-level? Sorry, they possess domains themselves. Unless it risks its life, it's impossible.

Ryan and Lillie arrived inside Megalo Tower. The things he had discussed with Soliera were almost ready.

Lillie was playing with her newly captured Pokémon, a Poipole. Speaking of Poipole, Ryan couldn't help but appreciate Yellow's incredible luck in actually capturing a shiny Poipole. Lillie's Poipole was born shortly after the great battle. Lillie took a liking to it, and Phyco generously gave it to her.

Now, Poipole has become close friends with Lillie and Manaphy, as all three are very young and playful.

Ryan and Lillie stepped onto the teleportation facility at the bottom of the tower, and through it, they arrived at the top. Soliera greeted them and gave Ryan a data disc.

This disc was the reward Ryan wanted, as the technology in Ultra Megalopolis was quite advanced. Ryan hoped to use technological exchange to elevate his mercenary guild to a higher level.

"Thank you, Soliera." Ryan said after putting the disc into his backpack. "Soliera, why don't you come with us to our world? Necrozma has been suppressed, and Ultra Space has completely dissipated. Your Ultra Recon Squad is basically safe. I've also heard from my subordinates that you've been asking them about Trainers. If possible, come to our world."

Soliera smiled, then shook her head and said, "No, our wish of the past hundred years hasn't been fulfilled. Although Necrozma caused such great casualties, it is still a revered deity in our hearts. Although I'm very interested in the profession of Trainer in your world, this matter isn't over yet, and I won't leave Ultra Megalopolis. After this is finished, I think I'll go to your world and try to become a Trainer."

Ryan nodded and bid farewell to Soliera. She had her own thoughts, and Ryan couldn't directly interfere with her life.

Lillie, holding Poipole and Manaphy, said with some regret, "It's a pity, the Ultra Recon Squad is held up by this matter. Some researchers from Megalo Tower, however, are willing to leave with us to see different worlds."

Ryan said helplessly, "Is it alright if we just discuss recruiting people like this?"

Lillie smiled, "It's fine. After all, to put it bluntly, this world isn't suitable for human habitation. It's only natural that they want to go to a better world."

Ryan nodded and said, "That's true. By the way, why haven't I seen Karen lately? I have some things I wanted to ask her to do."

Lillie rolled her eyes at Ryan and said, "You really don't pay attention to Karen. She and Will have been getting quite close lately. Something must have happened when they were separated in Ultra Space. Karen seems to have resolved her inner conflict; she's much more energetic now."

Ryan said helplessly, "I'm engaged, after all. Are you sure I should be paying attention to other girls?"

"You can try," Lillie said with a dangerous smile.

Ryan decisively changed the subject, not wanting to dwell on it any longer. After the two left, Silver furtively peeked out, looked around to make sure no one was watching, then straightened his clothes and entered Megalo Tower.

Ryan and Lillie returned to their residence in Ultra Megalopolis. Now that they had obtained the data and rested for a few days, it was time to say goodbye to this Ultra Megalopolis.

The others were also getting a little restless there, and they were taking advantage of the opportunity to challenge the legendary Pokémon. After all, only eight people had entered the legendary Pokémon spaces; the others weren't so lucky.

Now that Ryan had brought all the legendary Pokémon out, their strength recovered very slowly in Ultra Space. If they didn't challenge them now, when would they? These legendary Pokémon were thoroughly annoyed by this group. After all, if you were strong enough, they wouldn't mind fighting you, but what's the point of always sending out weaker Pokémon?

I'm talking to you, Silver! What's the meaning of always using legendary Pokémon to battle others?!

Huh? Where is he? Ryan looked around but couldn't find Silver.

However, the current battle was between Drake and Dialga. Drake and Zinnia, the two Draconid Tribe members, had a strong affinity for Dragon-type Pokémon. Rayquaza was their Dragon Lord, and they couldn't afford to challenge it. Therefore, they focused their attention on Dialga, Palkia, Reshiram, and Zekrom, the four Dragon-type legendary Pokémon.

However, these legendary Pokémon, having recovered somewhat, wouldn't be so easily captured. Dialga's eyes glowed orange, the diamond on its chest began to light up, and its rear fins expanded. Dialga opened its mouth, and an indigo sphere formed in front of it, firing an indigo beam with Roar of Time towards Drake's Mega Charizard X.

Roar of Time successfully hit the unable-to-dodge Mega Charizard X, instantly rendering it unable to battle.

"Return, Charizard!" Drake recalled his Charizard; it was still a bit outmatched against the Temporal Pokémon.

Ryan clapped his hands and said, "Alright, we've got the data. Take a rest tonight, and we'll head back tomorrow. Thanks for your hard work, everyone. Your points will be doubled, and all the exchange options will be opened for you."

"Yeah! Ryan is awesome!" The group immediately became excited and shouted loudly.

Ryan dismissed them, then discussed things with the legendary Pokémon, asking about their future plans. If they wanted to leave, Ryan wouldn't stop them, but he also hoped to retain these legendary Pokémon. After all, these legendary Pokémon, who had experienced the cataclysmic war, were generally quite powerful. If he could win them over, Ryan was certain that their Mercenary Guild would surpass the League and become the most powerful organization in the world!
