Chapter 149 - A Crave For Darkness Always Dooms

‎Among the shadows, a figure dropped silently from the trees. It stood no taller than three feet, its glowing green eyes piercing through the darkness.

‎"I told you he would return," the green-eyed witch said to the cloaked figure beside her.

‎The figure extended a slender hand and pushed back its hood, revealing a pale face framed by dark hair.

‎"And I listened, Brosa," Theashee replied.

‎Her gaze drifted to the vampire. Blood seeped steadily from the wound in his side, staining his shirt a deep crimson.

‎Without another word, Theashee and Brosa ventured deeper into the forest. The vines obeyed their silent command, dragging Leonard's body behind them.

‎The deeper they went, the darker the woods became. The air grew heavy and difficult to breathe, even for the witches, while the moonlight failed to penetrate the suffocating canopy above.
