The throne room was full, overflowing with people who had all come with the same aim:
To see the Alpha who had returned from the dead.
The people in the halls chanted my father's name like a war cry, singing his praises with tears in their eyes while I, on the other hand, sat at the furthest corner of the hall, watching all of this happen with tears in my eyes.
My heart felt full, overflowing with joy and with my mates pressed against me, acting as some sort of human shield, I felt safe. I smiled.
"Congratulations…" Zevran whispered, his voice soft.
At the sound, I turned to beam a smile at him, and when I noticed the way he was bent slightly, as a result of his injury, I frowned.
"Thank you, but don't you think we should head out now? You're unwell and I think you deserve some rest now…" I said, my voice trailing off.
