The first shot missed him on purpose.
Raizen felt the air twitch by his ear. A banner behind him popped, a neat glowing hole burned through it.
He knew that sound.
He turned.
"Well, if it isn't my lovely target-scaring shooter!"
Arashi stood on a tilted balcony, one foot up on the rail, both pistols spinning once around his fingers before dropping into his grip. Luminite in the barrels burned bright green.
"Sup!" Arashi shouted back. "Heard you're stealing my top spots."
Even from here, Raizen could see his suit lights. Calm blue. No strain.
Raizen rolled his wrists on his blades. "Then shoot faster."
Arashi grinned. "Oh, we're doing this. Finally."
He fired for real.
The first shots snapped for Raizen's knees. The next for his chest. Raizen twisted, swords snapping up. Green light sparked off his blade and blew a chip out of the stall beside him.
