--- A few days later ---
The Eon training hall somehow felt even wider than the arena. Racks held practice weapons in tidy rows, and the floor was covered in old chalk marks where Kori had drawn circles, splitting the room into smaller, even pieces.
Kori stood by the door with her hands behind her back. She was composed. Very composed. It looked like she was working hard just not to move. Her shoulders were tense, as if she was waiting for something she couldn't quite face.
When the far door opened, her composure slipped for half a second.
Kenzo walked in smiling, and the room got warmer.
Fifth Phalanx, if you knew him.
Raizen instantly recognized him from the photo. Long black hair tied back with a thin strip of leather, shoulders broad enough that the doorframe looked like it had been built for dwarves. Behind him, right next to his shoulder, following him around – A hammer. Literally levitating at his side.
