Chapter 213 - Chapter 213

The Digivice screamed, a desperate, broken static filling the air. I stared, horrified, as Groundramon's body twisted, growing larger with every fragment of the Destroyer it absorbed. Metallic pieces of the ancient armor melted onto its scales. A sickly green light pulsed from its core, then an ominous orange.

This wasn't just an evolution. This was something else entirely. The Digivice updated itself, showing the new name: Terranaughtmon.

Terranaughtmon

Level: Armor (Special)

Type: Armored Dragon Construct

Attribute: Virus

Special Moves:

Morphon Gatling

Obliteration Beam

Plasma Quake Tail

Profile:

Terranaughtmon is a unique, terrifying Digimon, born when a Groundramon absorbed Destroyer fragments. This artificial evolution grants it strength nearing Ultimate or even lower Mega-levels. Its presence causes tremors and digital disturbances.

It embodies a destructive will, combining Groundramon's predatory instincts with the Destroyer's programmed intent to eliminate threats. This makes it aggressive and relentless.

Its armored hide, infused with the Destroyer's properties, shrugs off attacks, while its core hums with destructive power.

Its Morphon Gatling unleashes a rapid barrage of energy bolts from its back-mounted arms, shredding defenses. The Obliteration Beam shoots a destructive orange-white energy blast from its faceplate, disintegrating nearly any substance. For close combat, its Plasma Quake Tail, tipped with an armored sphere, glows with plasma before delivering crushing blows that create shockwaves or fissures.

Armor Digivolution is an ancient and specialized form of Digivolution. It allows a Digimon to evolve outside its usual path by fusing with a Digi-Egg, gaining new attributes and abilities. In this case, Groundramon underwent a forced, pseudo-Armor Digivolution, absorbing the Destroyer's fragments to gain its power and durability, evolving into Terranaughtmon. This makes it an incredibly powerful, artificial construct, far surpassing its previous Ultimate level, now approaching Mega-level might.

This thing was a walking tank, a corrupted dragon fused with an Asgardian weapon. We had just barely dealt with the Destroyer, and now this? This was not what I signed up for when I wanted excitement.

Terranaughtmon solidified, its monstrous form filling the desert landscape. It was a colossal bipedal dragon, encased in jagged, Destroyer-like armor. The single orange slit of an eye on its faceplate fixed on us.

"Another beast, you say?"

Fandral's voice cut through the air, confident despite the size of our new problem. He, Hogun, Volstagg, and Sif were still pumped from fighting the Frost Giants, full of warrior spirit.

"This one is bigger, but no doubt as brittle as the last!"

Sif, with a battle cry, charged first, her sword a blur of steel. Her armor glinted in the harsh desert sun.

"For Asgard!"

Volstagg's booming roar followed, his massive axe held high. Hogun, grim as ever, moved in next, his mace ready. Fandral, with his usual flair, brought up the rear, rapier flashing. They thought this was just another strong foe, another oversized monster to put down. They were so wrong.

Terranaughtmon moved with an unsettling speed for its size, faster than anything that big should be. It barely reacted to their charge.

It flicked one of its massive, augmented back arms, a casual gesture. The metallic claws caught Sif mid-charge, sending her spinning through the air like a ragdoll. She hit the sand with a heavy thud.

CRASH

Volstagg's booming axe strike aimed for a leg, but Terranaughtmon's tail swept out. The heavy iron sphere at the tip caught Volstagg, sending the stout warrior sprawling into the sand with a grunt. He struggled to get up, clearly winded.

THUD

Hogun's mace bounced harmlessly off the Digimon's armored hide. I heard the CLANG from my perch. Fandral's rapier found no purchase, the blade scraping uselessly across its metallic plating.

SCRAPE

The Asgardians, for all their strength and battle experience, were tossed aside like toys. Their attacks were useless against its Destroyer-infused armor. This wasn't just a strong foe; it was an impenetrable wall.

Coulson, seeing the Asgardians so easily dispatched, yelled into his comm.

"Open fire! All units, open fire!"

SHIELD agents, who had been holding back, unleashed a barrage of bullets. Their firearms chattered, a desperate sound against the desert wind. Bullets sparked against Terranaughtmon's metallic scales, little more than annoying flies.

PINGPINGPING

Hawkeye released a volley of trick arrows. One exploded with concussive force, throwing up sand and dust. Another delivered an electric charge, arcs of blue lightning dancing across the Digimon's surface.

BOOMCRACKLE

All the attacks had no effect, simply deflecting off the armored dragon or dissipating against its impenetrable hide. Terranaughtmon remained entirely unfazed. Its single glowing eye, a cold orange slit, fixed on the gathered heroes with an unfeeling intent.

"Damn it!"

Hawkeye's frustration was clear. Our conventional weapons, even the fancy ones, were useless. My gut twisted. This thing was on a whole different level.

I knew we had to go all in, right now. I called out to my Digimon, a plan forming in my head.

"Alright, everyone! Hit it with everything you've got!"

Greymon roared a challenge, a guttural sound that echoed across the desert. He unleashed a concentrated Nova Blast, a torrent of fire blasting from his mouth.

ROAR

Garurumon followed with a freezing Fox Fire, a chilling blue flame. It hit the same spot where Greymon attacked, hoping for a weakness.

MailBirdramon soared overhead, a shadow against the blazing sun, firing a continuous stream of Plasma Cannon blasts. The energy bolts rained down, looking for a chink in the armor.

Ballistamon charged, his heavy steps shaking the ground. His Arm Bunker attack was aimed at Terranaughtmon's legs, hoping to slow the monster down.

Gatomon and BlackGatomon darted in, a blur of white and black. They aimed for precise Lightning Paw and Darkness Wave strikes, looking for any exposed joint or vulnerable point.

"For Asgard!"

Thor, now fully powered and regal in his armor, joined the fray. He slammed Mjolnir into Terranaughtmon's chest with a thunderous impact. Lightning cracked around the hammer as he hit.

CRACK

The combined might of Thor, my Digimon, and my own Spirit Evolution slammed into Terranaughtmon. Mjolnir's thunderous blows, Greymon's fire, Garurumon's ice, MailBirdramon's plasma, Ballistamon's brute force, and Gatomon's and BlackGatomon's quick strikes all landed. The desert trembled with the impacts. Energy flashed, and dust erupted, creating a blinding cloud.

BOOMWHOOSHCRACKLE

Yet, Terranaughtmon stood firm. Its armored body absorbed the barrage, a silent, unmoving force. The blows visibly rattled it, causing faint cracks of orange energy to appear along its Destroyer plating, but it did not fall.

It took all of our combined power to even scratch this thing. This was bad. Really bad.

Terranaughtmon retaliated with brutal efficiency, not a moment wasted. Its massive back arms, infused with energy, slammed together in a Scrapless Claw attack. Greymon and Garurumon had to leap back, barely avoiding being crushed.

CRUNCH

It then whipped its Plasma Quake Tail. The heavy tail created a shockwave that sent Thor stumbling. He regained his footing, but the hit had definitely messed with his balance.

THWACK

Its visor glowed, charging an Obliteration Beam. MailBirdramon had to execute evasive maneuvers, banking hard to avoid the searing energy. I saw the light build, a terrifying sight.

Gatomon and BlackGatomon, attempting to find a weak point on its back, found themselves caught in an Energy Barrage from its chest. The blasts forced them to disengage and recover, their forms flickering as they dodged.

BLASTBLAST

This fight was far from over. Terranaughtmon was a juggernaut, a force of nature infused with Asgardian tech. It was seemingly unstoppable. Its ability to absorb such punishment and strike back with such power made it the most formidable Digimon we had faced.
