Terranaughtmon stood firm. Its armored body absorbed the barrage, a silent, unmoving force. The blows visibly rattled it, causing faint cracks of orange energy to appear along its Destroyer plating, but it did not fall.
It took all of our combined power to even scratch this thing. This was bad. Really bad.
Terranaughtmon retaliated with brutal efficiency, not a moment wasted. Its massive back arms, infused with energy, slammed together in a Scrapless Claw attack. Greymon and Garurumon had to leap back, barely avoiding being crushed.
CRUNCH
It then whipped its Plasma Quake Tail. The heavy tail created a shockwave that sent Thor stumbling. He regained his footing, but the hit had definitely messed with his balance.
THWACK
Its visor glowed, charging an Obliteration Beam. MailBirdramon had to execute evasive maneuvers, banking hard to avoid the searing energy. I saw the light build, a terrifying sight.
Gatomon and BlackGatomon, attempting to find a weak point on its back, found themselves caught in an Energy Barrage from its chest. The blasts forced them to disengage and recover, their forms flickering as they dodged.
BLASTBLAST
This fight was far from over. Terranaughtmon was a juggernaut, a force of nature infused with Asgardian tech. It was seemingly unstoppable. Its ability to absorb such punishment and strike back with such power made it the most formidable Digimon we had faced.
My heart hammered against my ribs. We were throwing everything at it, and it barely flinched. The ground vibrated with each of its movements, a constant, unsettling rumble under my feet. I could feel the grit of sand and dust coating my tongue, a grim reminder of our desert battleground. This wasn't working.
This thing was a tank, a walking fortress. Brute force wasn't cutting it. I needed more power. I needed something that could hit harder, burn hotter. I needed the Beast Spirit.
My Digivice pulsed in my hand, almost a living thing. The Beast Spirit of Flame, BurningGreymon, felt like a distant ember, waiting. It was time to push past my limits.
I felt the raw, primal call of the Spirit. It was a scorching heat, a desire to incinerate everything in my path. I embraced it, channeling my determination into the Digivice.
"BEAST SPIRIT EVOLUTION!"
A fiery aura erupted around me, blinding bright. My human form dissolved, reshaping with a burning intensity. Scales replaced skin, armor plates fused onto my growing body, and colossal, feathered wings burst from my back.
ROAR
I felt the roar tear from my throat, raw and powerful. My mind shifted, instincts sharpening, the world seen through a lens of pure, destructive flame. I was BurningGreymon, a fiery dragon warrior, ready to burn this armored beast to ashes.
The ground shook with my transformation. Terranaughtmon paused its assault, its single orange eye fixing on my new, massive form. It was a momentary hesitation, a tiny crack in its relentless focus. I knew I had to press that advantage, hard.
"Gatomon! BlackGatomon! Digivolve!" I roared, my voice now a crackling inferno.
Gatomon and BlackGatomon, seeing my transformation, didn't hesitate. They were already moving, their forms glowing with digital energy. Light and shadow swirled around them, contrasting forces ready to be unleashed.
[ULTIMATE DIGIVOLUTION!]
Gatomon's white fur and holy ring elongated, morphing into a graceful, eight-winged angel. Her blue eyes, usually calm, now burned with righteous fire. She became Angewomon, an ultimate angel, radiating purity.
[Angewomon!]
BlackGatomon's dark fur and corrupted ring twisted, transforming into a lithe, bat-winged demoness. Her crimson eyes, usually mischievous, now dripped with dark power. She became LadyDevimon, an ultimate fallen angel, a vision of seductive menace.
[LadyDevimon!]
Angewomon and LadyDevimon landed, flanking my BurningGreymon form. Their combined aura, one of divine light and the other of shadowy malice, created a weird balance, a power that felt right in its opposition. This was the full force of my Ultimate-level Digimon.
"Let's see how much of that armor can take this!" I roared, my draconic maw already glowing with internal heat.
I took to the air, my fiery wings beating a powerful rhythm. Terranaughtmon was still recovering from the shock of my evolution, and that was all the opening we needed. This was our chance to hit it with everything we had, all at once.
My arm-mounted Rudriya Darpaṇa cannons flared.
"Corona Blaster!"
A concentrated laser of superheated energy burst from my arms, a golden-red beam aimed at Terranaughtmon's head.
WHOOSH
Angewomon, a streak of white light, soared past me.
"Celestial Arrow!"
She drew back her bow, an arrow of pure holy energy manifesting in her hand. It zipped through the air, a piercing beam of light.
ZING
LadyDevimon, a shadow against the desert sky, let out a wicked laugh.
"Darkness Wave!"
A horde of shadowy, bat-like creatures streamed from her outstretched hand, swarming toward Terranaughtmon like a living, dark cloud.
SCREEEEE
All three attacks converged, a multi-pronged assault of fire, light, and shadow. The Corona Blaster struck first, a searing impact against Terranaughtmon's faceplate. The Celestial Arrow followed, punching a small, bright point of light into the armor. The Darkness Wave then engulfed it, a cloud of destructive creatures clawing at its metallic surface.
BOOMCRACKSHATTER
Terranaughtmon reeled back, a low groan escaping its metallic throat. The energy cracks along its armor deepened, spiderwebbing across its chest and limbs. It was hurt. We had finally gotten its attention, and more importantly, we had dealt actual damage.
The dust cleared. Terranaughtmon was still standing, but the energy cracks on its armor were more pronounced. Orange energy sparked along the fissures, a sign of internal damage. Its single eye glowed brighter, a sign of its anger.
HISS
A guttural sound escaped its maw, a mix of digital static and draconic growl. It was pissed.
"Don't let up!" I yelled.
I tried to follow up with another Corona Blaster, but Terranaughtmon moved faster than I expected. It was a beast, even when damaged.
Its augmented back arms, now glowing with destructive energy, swept forward in a powerful Scrapless Claw attack. It moved like a giant, metallic tide, threatening to crush anything in its path.
WHOOSH
Angewomon and LadyDevimon barely managed to evade, their agile forms darting out of the way just in time. The air pressure alone from the attack buffeted them, throwing them off balance.
"Careful!" Angewomon called out, her voice a warning.
LadyDevimon snarled in frustration.
"That overgrown scrap heap!"
