Chapter 30 - The Destruction of a Weapon

Two and three shoot Wakushi in various parts of his body, causing him to bleed even more than he already is, but Wakushi doesn't stop and runs around on all fours like a madman.

Wakushi launches several attacks with his claws, scratching everywhere and destroying everything in his path. Two and three dodge all of his attacks, but three ends up losing a leg, and Wakushi takes the other one.

But Three uses his hand to propel himself by touching the ground and doing a somersault, which puts him in a good position in the air to shoot. Three shoots Wakushi in the other shoulder.

Wakushi, in a trance and with overwhelming speed, rips Three's head off with his hand before his body falls to the ground. Three's body is caught by Two before it falls.

Two runs away with Three's body, moving far away. Wakushi watches them, confused as to why they are running away, and turns his gaze.

He notices that Three's head has a strange symbol. Wakushi looks more closely, but sees that the symbol has numbers on it.

The number was 00:10, but then it changed to 00:09, leaving Wakushi confused until he realized something: the number was counting down to 00:05. Wakushi realized it was a countdown.

"Goodbye, imbecile," said the three-headed creature, smiling.

The countdown reached 00:00, and the place where Wakushi was standing exploded, leaving a huge blast. Two, holding Three's body, watched as Three's head regenerated.

"Seriously, I can't believe you let him do that, you bastard," said Two, letting go of Three's regenerated body.

"You know how crazy I am," said Three, laughing.

"Yes, but that ended up sacrificing the ability of the stones," said Two.

"Well, it's something anyway. You still have other guards in that book," said Three, patting him on the shoulder.

"Yes, but now if I deactivate the technique, the ability of the stones and the bomb will disappear over time," said Two.

"I wanted to save them, but I had no choice but to use them," said Two.

"Well, I think it's over," said Three.

"GRAAAH!" something screamed from afar.

Two and Three watched from the smoke of the explosion as Wakushi remained alive. Two and Three were shocked by such barbarity, while Wakushi was wounded and his body slightly charred.

"Damn, just what we needed," said Two.

"Wow, that guy is a diamond in the rough, he can take anything," said Three.

"What's more, he could even put up with your mother for more than a day," said Three jokingly.

"Shut up!" said Two, punching Three in the face.

"Okay, I'll shut up," said Three.

"Hey, wait, look at that," said Two.

"What is it?" asked Three, confused.

"The gloves, look," replied Two, pointing to the gloves.

"Let's see what happens," said Three, observing them.

"Wait, are they...?" said Three, seeing the gloves.

"Yeah, it looks like those gloves are about to break," said Two.

"Aren't imperial artifacts supposed to be resistant?" said Three.

"Yes, but obviously everything has its limits, and since we were all fighting that guy, we're also wearing them out," said Two.

"It will be a problem if it gets destroyed, but we have no choice. It's our only chance to beat him," said Three, putting his hand on his head in stress.

Wakushi turns to look at Two and Three, but then turns to look at Draken on the ground. Two senses what Wakushi wants to do and runs off at the same time as Wakushi.

Wakushi stands in front of Draken's body and thinks about using it as a weapon, first grabbing Draken's arm to rip it off, but Mogi quickly appears behind Wakushi.

With a psychopathic smile, he lunges at Wakushi, who is cut by Mogi, but Wakushi counterattacks, and Mogi defends himself by blocking the attack with his katana.

Mogi is pushed away by the impact at the same time as Wakushi. Further back, Mogi spits blood and wipes his mouth with a smile, grabbing his katana.

Wakushi, with his hands down, sees Mogi and starts to run, but just then Wakushi stops when he sees a vision. In his mind, Wakushi saw a dark dragon with great power.

This dragon tries to take over Wakushi's mind. Outside of Wakushi's mind, the others see Wakushi's body kneel as he grabs his head with his hands.

"GRAAAH," Wakushi screams in pain.

"Damn it, right now," says Dos, seeing Wakushi writhing.

"Damn, I thought it was just a rumor, but it seems to be real," said Three, reaching Two just in time.

"They're not supposed to be controlled because there are two of them," said Three.

"If you know that everything has a limit, even weapons, why can't you see it?" said Two worriedly.

"That weapon is trying to take over that boy's body," said Two.

"If it manages to take over him, the creature's consciousness will be revived in that boy's body. We have to stop it," said Two.

Wakushi continues to suffer from pain. Inside his mind, Wakushi stops and breathes with difficulty, but then he looks up and sees the dragon.

"YOU! NO! ME! GO! AA! CONTROL IT!" Wakushi shouted at the dragon.

In Wakushi's mind, the dragon disappeared, and Wakushi returned to reality, now calm. Everyone saw Wakushi in a state of calm and were surprised.

"He managed to withstand the power of the imperial artifact, even though he barely uses it," said Two.

"That boy seems to have been born with talent from the start," said Three.

Wakushi determinedly moves toward Mogi, who also moves toward him, and the two collide. Then Hana appears next to Wakushi and tries to hit him.

Wakushi covers himself, but his gloves wear out more, and then Aron also appears, cutting his leg a little with his chains, but Wakushi holds on and hits Aron.

But the weapon is slowly breaking down from wear and tear. Isack appears next to Wakushi and Julius rises from the ground. Wakushi covers himself from Isack's blow with his left arm, leaving his glove even more broken.

But Julius couldn't stop him because he saw him in his blind spot due to his eye. Wakushi is stabbed in the side, but he pushes Julius and Isack away, causing them both to retreat.

Wakushi wastes no time and faces Isack with his right arm ready to strike. Isack responds with the same excitement and also joins the confrontation, preparing to strike as well.

The two clash their fists hard, the impact is surprising, Wakushi and Isack pull their fists apart, the right glove cracks even more than it already was, Isack smiles as he pulls his fist away, but then his hand starts to bleed because the impact was too strong for him to withstand.

"That wasn't bad, but I think it's time," Wakushi thought as he saw Hana falling from above.

Hana is ready to deliver the final blow, and Wakushi senses it. He covers himself with his gloves, and Hana delivers the final blow. The strong impact is brutal, and Hana's punch ultimately destroys the gloves.

Wakushi's arms are also destroyed along with the gloves, and he ends up receiving a strong blow to the stomach, the impact breaking the floor.

Wakushi falls through a basement floor, lying on the ground, watching as large debris falls.

"I wonder what my colleagues are doing there," thought Wakushi.

"Acting didn't work, and it only took something away from us and turned us into something we swore we wouldn't become," thought Wakushi.

"Although I feel great dissatisfaction with those three because the boss put in more people we don't know," Wakushi thought.

"Those people are there, but with those three in particular, mistrust is not a good option," Wakushi thought.

"Safario, Mishiro, and what was that guy's name?" Wakushi thought.

"Oh, his name is Beyond Birthday," thought Wakushi.

"Or better yet, just Whammy. I'll tell him that guy is the strangest and the one I wouldn't want to fight right now," thought Wakushi.

All the debris falls on Wakushi, while he just watches with a smile. A large piece of debris falls on Wakushi and destroys his entire body.

Narrator—Wakushi Katake, member of the Ghost Brigade, died at the age of 21—said the narrator.

Above, Hana observes everything with the others. Now the gloves are destroyed, while Draken gets up, healed from his wounds.

"What? What happened?" said Draken.

"You're fine, I healed your wounds," said Aiko.

"Really? Okay," said Draken.

"You were lucky that the boy didn't damage a lot of vital points on your body," said Aiko.

"I see," said Draken after shouting.

"Calm down, don't move too much, you're still injured," said Aiko.

"I couldn't heal you completely. It was too difficult with such a large wound. Your organs are damaged," said Aiko.

"So don't move around too much. They're intact, but damaged," said Aiko.

"Well, I think that's obvious," said Draken.

"AH! Akutagawa, stop it already," shouted Hana.

"I'm going to kill her!" shouted Mogi.

Mogi has his katana in his hand, pointing it at Hana. Rebecca grabs his arm to stop him. Aiko gets up and walks toward them, knocking Mogi unconscious.

Mogi falls to the ground unconscious from the blow to the back of his head. Hana looks at Aiko, and she looks back at her at the same time, while Rebecca worries about whether Mogi is dead or not.

"Hey, why did you help me?" Hana asks.

"Not just because you helped me, it's obvious," Aiko replies.

"Really, that's why?" Hana asks.

"No, it's because I'm sick of this shit," said Aiko.

"I see, that's the reason," said Hana.

Right in the hole where Wakushi fell, three and two were checking. The two observe and confirm the destruction of the imperial artifact.
