Li Qingyuan barely acknowledged her, pressing the replay button on his voice recorder.
Although his shop rarely had visitors, this was New York—there were always a few bored people wandering in to ask questions.
Feeling annoyed, Li had set up a voice recorder to handle the introductions for them. After all, humans were basically walking repeaters—it made sense.
"Mr. Li, I want to talk to you about those turtles!" April persisted.
"If you're buying something, check the prices yourself. No bargaining in this shop!"
The same repeated response came from the recorder.
Indeed, the card she had found last night was intentionally left by Li Qingyuan—but after doing so, he immediately regretted it.
Honestly, this girl wasn't his type. Appearance? Meh, maybe an 80/100 at best—barely a collectible.
But her profession? That alone was enough to make him wary.
Plus, her personality was relentless; she was after a big story.
If he agreed to an interview, his peaceful, quiet life would be completely disrupted.

"No. Humans are essentially repeaters!" Li Qingyuan replied, putting down the newspaper and switching off the recorder.
"Boss, seriously, I'll do anything if you just tell me about the turtles!" She set down the bowl and leaned over the counter, her neckline slightly open, showing a flash of white skin.
Ding ding ding!
Just as Li Qingyuan was about to push her away, the shop door opened again.
April hurriedly adjusted her collar. For a big story, she might use seduction—but in front of normal people, she still needed to be the glamorous goddess she appeared to be.

"Mr. Norman Osborn!"

Norman Osborn wore a warm smile, nodding slightly at her, before striding to the counter.
"Mr. Li, hello. I'm Norman Osborn. Pleased to meet you, sorry for the intrusion."
"I knew those people couldn't be trusted!" At the moment Norman entered, Li Qingyuan recognized him immediately.
Since Tony Stark's death, Osborn had dominated the news headlines. Open a newspaper or TV—his face was everywhere.
Though he had told Ward not to reveal anything outside, Li knew "secrets" were meaningless.
A secret known by one person is truly secret. Known by two? That's public knowledge.
Like Hydra—probably only Nick Fury among the world's elites didn't know about them!
