"This is the newest Stance Launcher?" Claire asked excitedly, standing in the middle of the ocean.
When Li Qingyuan had chosen their location, he had deliberately picked a spot near a coastal cliff. So when the Umbrella Corp's army approached, he simply jumped into the sea with the two women.
In fact, Wesker had long anticipated that the enemy might escape into the water, so he had deployed three destroyers and a submarine to create an impenetrable blockade. No matter what transportation they used, escape was impossible.
Unfortunately, neither Wesker nor the Red Queen could have imagined someone capable of walking underwater.
"Even with the Stance Launcher, where would we get oxygen to breathe?" Jill asked in surprise, lightly swiping her hand through the water beside her. It felt like touching a soft mirror.
"Alright, let's move quickly. Even with the water shielding us, the shockwave isn't something to joke about," Li Qingyuan urged, seeing the two women pause to inspect.
If this were the real Poseidon Trident, it might withstand a nuclear blast. But this toy version in his hands? Better not risk it.
Thinking of the nuclear warheads left behind at the base, the two women quickened their pace, and the three of them began sprinting rapidly beneath the waves.
"Sir, we've located the enemy's hideout!" Meanwhile, Ada Wong was reporting to Wesker.
The soldiers on land had traced the underground base through network lines and were now trying to find the entrance.
"Warn the troops below. I suspect it may still be a trap!" Wesker, having learned from previous mistakes, was far more cautious this time. He refused to fall for the same trick twice.
"Understood!" Ada nodded and was about to order the team to stay alert when suddenly, another dazzling blue light filled the entire screen.
"Are these guys insane?" Wesker slammed a chess piece down on the board in frustration. Even though he was mentally prepared, seeing the enemy hurl nuclear bombs like fireworks still made him uneasy.
Do they even know that randomly tossing nuclear warheads could trigger a nuclear winter? That it could devastate the Earth's environment and collapse the ecosystem?
Wesker was beginning to wonder who actually wanted to destroy the world.
Sure, Umbrella Corp had released the T-virus to "purify" the world, but that was only to eliminate useless humans. The overall Earth ecosystem wasn't seriously affected…
But now?
This unknown bastard was throwing nukes everywhere, dragging the Earth into his destruction!
How cruel!
"There's a strange energy reaction!" The Red Queen suddenly shouted.
"Throwing nukes again?" Wesker asked without looking up.
Exhausted. Mentally drained.
"No, not nukes… it's a tsunami!" The Red Queen quickly corrected.
"Impossible…" Wesker looked up. On the main screen, nearly a hundred-meter-high waves were rising from the ocean.
"Retreat! Everyone, fall back immediately!" Wesker barked orders.
Of course, even without his command, the surviving soldiers were already fleeing. Facing such a force of nature, even heavily armored vehicles offered no protection.
A hundred-meter-high wave? No vehicle could survive if caught in that!
And the warships and submarines docked along the coast? They were the first to be swept away.
Normally, submarines submerged in the ocean are safest during a tsunami. But this tsunami was artificially controlled by Li Qingyuan. He certainly wouldn't let the submarine go unharmed.
A slight adjustment to the currents, a few collisions with the seabed rocks, and it was all solved.
"Did you really control this?" Behind the tsunami, the three of them stood calmly on the sea surface. With the Umbrella army in chaos, no one had time to bother them.
Jill and Claire gazed at Li Qingyuan, holding his staff, their eyes shining with awe.
They were used to him casually dropping bombs and mastering nuclear detonations, being overpowered themselves as "super-powered" individuals. The only difference was the magnitude.
After surviving Alice's unreasonable psychic attacks, they didn't question Li Qingyuan's seemingly supernatural abilities.
But now… this was beyond anything they had comprehended.
The power of nature, the might of heaven and earth—these were forces only the gods could wield.
If Umbrella Corp could control ocean currents like this, why bother with the T-virus to destroy the world? A biblical-style flood would've sufficed.
"Of course, look who your man is!" Li Qingyuan replied confidently, though his hands twitched slightly.
This toy trident's actual power was limited. The massive tsunami was only possible because the nuclear detonations had stirred the currents, and he had harnessed that energy.
Normally, this device could only generate a 20–30 meter wave—enough to show off, but not to annihilate an entire Umbrella army.
Even now, despite riding the nuclear-powered surge to create a hundred-meter wave, he couldn't precisely control its path, only nudging it toward the fleeing soldiers.
No mercy for those who aided evil—better that they all die.
But… did he forget something?
Even the armored vehicles below, engines pushed to their limits, were helpless against a hundred-meter, tens-of-kilometers-wide tsunami.
Boom!
The ground shook violently. The tsunami struck the shore like a natural calamity, releasing energy equivalent to detonating a dozen small nuclear bombs.
"After this lesson, I doubt Umbrella Corp has the strength to stir again!" Li Qingyuan said leisurely, observing the transformed marshland.
Too bad the scene wasn't recorded—this would've been a legendary moment in his battle history.
Jill and Claire exchanged glances, then stepped behind him.
"What are you two doing? I warn you, I'm not afraid!" Li Qingyuan took a cautious step back, sensing the danger in their eyes.
"I think you have a lot to tell us right now!" Jill smiled, seizing him.
"I think so too!" Claire, abandoning any pretense, helped Jill pin him down.
After witnessing such events, they couldn't contain their curiosity. If they didn't get answers, they might go mad.
