Previously on Hakuna, the Prince had been training with Master Mokoto for four days, mastering a new technique called Energy Manipulation. This newfound ability was about to be put to the test.
The Unseen Hand
The scene fades in on the BBC squad. Enzo, his brow furrowed with concern, reads an emergency report for DDF students. His voice is tight with tension as he speaks. "Guys, four demons have appeared around Milner, and we have to stop them. There are two Level 4s, a Level 5, and an unknown... An unknown?"
Before anyone can respond, Freddie speaks up, his face an unconcerned blank slate. "Uh, Hakuna is already on it..."
Enzo's tense shoulders visibly relax. "Well, that's good, I guess..."
A blur of motion streaks across the landscape. It's Hakuna, moving faster than anyone has ever seen. His body is a weapon, a testament to his new training. He throws powerful punches at the demons, his fists a whirlwind of destruction. He effortlessly chops off their legs, pulverizes their heads, and destroys their bodies with just his bare hands. The battles are over almost before they begin.
He comes to a stop, a slight gasp of air escaping his lips. "Done. Now, where's that Level 5... FOUND IT!" Using his newfound ability to sense energy, he had located the powerful demon. He then lifts off the ground, a silent, graceful ascent into the sky.
A figure on the ground looks up, a thoughtful expression on his face. "So he chose that path, huh...?" Super mutters to himself.
The scene shifts to a familiar face. The beautiful girl who Hakuna had been captivated by, is seemingly being attacked by the Level 5 demon.
"Oh, a demon..." an unfamiliar voice says, its tone a mix of boredom and amusement.
Hakuna arrives in a flash, his intent clear: he would kill the demon from behind. He swings his fist, ready to deliver a devastating blow. It connects, or so he thinks.
A puzzled expression crosses Hakuna's face. "It landed? But I didn't feel anything. Did I even hit it? What's..." His words trail off as he is starstruck by the impossible reality before him.
The supposed person in danger was the one who defeated the demon, with a casual swipe of her hand. It was an effortless, impossible display of power. "You, how did you...? Are you...?" Hakuna voices, unable to form complete sentences.
The girl places a soft finger on his lips, her touch a gentle silencing. "Listen," she says softly, "I don't really like putting too much attention on myself..."
"But who are you?" Hakuna questions, his mind reeling.
The girl responds, a soft smile on her lips. "My name is Nolitha Mehlomanelo..."
A flash of recognition lights up Hakuna's eyes. "The Mehlomanelo Clan, you're their princess, aren't you?"
"How did you know?" Nolitha questions, a hint of surprise in her voice.
Hakuna, in response, declares, "I'm Prince Hakuna, of the Letebele Clan..."
Suddenly, a loud thud echoes through the air. Someone is here, and they're not friendly. The demon, Merca, appears, his presence a chilling force.
"Ah, perfect. Sorry to disturb this interaction between lovebirds, but I have an objective to reach. Vessel of Psycha, Prince Hakuna, let's chat..." he says, a sinister grin on his face.
Hakuna thinks to himself, "This must be the Level Unknown Demon. It even has intelligence. I have to protect Nolitha, no matter how strong she is. This guy is nothing short of being a Level 7 demon..."
He moves forward, standing in front of Nolitha, a shield of protection between her and the demon. "It's me you want, huh? Interesting..." he says cheekily.
Hakuna prepares to launch himself at the demon, and Merca does the same with a maniacal laugh. The air crackles with energy, and the grass burns as they pass, so fast they're a mere blur.
Just as they are about to land their punches, they are stopped, their fists connecting with an invisible barrier. "My punch was stopped, but how? Is it her? No, but who?" he thinks to himself, inquisitively checking his surroundings.
It's Master Mokoto.
"Hello, Hakuna, I believe your training isn't yet complete. I'll take care of this guy. You should get to safety. You'll find your friends are there..." the teacher says, his voice calm and authoritative.
Hakuna nods, understanding the gravity of the situation. He then beckons, "Nolitha, come with me..." They run away, leaving the two powerful beings to their battle.
Merca, slightly annoyed, states, "Hey, old man, getting in my way doesn't make you a hero..." He flies and throws a punch at Master Mokoto.
Wait... He lost his arms.
"I may be old, but I don't tolerate disrespectful children..." Master Mokoto says, his voice a cold whisper as he discards the arms to the floor.
He throws a punch so powerful that it throws Merca 100 meters away, through the trees.
Merca, his body strained from the impact, voices his shock. "There's no way he's old, but that's not what I'm..." Master Mokoto stomps the ground, his footsteps a loud thud, as he approaches Merca with incomparable speed.
Other teachers and a few DDF students arrive at the scene, one of whom is another of Master Mokoto's students, Vanessa Mhlatha. Merca, with a hint of irony in his voice, reasons, "Look, Old Man, I'm only here for the prince. It's best for you if you get out of my way..."
Vanessa, noticing the mention of a prince, questions, "Master Mokoto, what is he talking about...?"
The teacher then reprimands, "Stay out of it, and you won't go near that boy, ever..."
Merca then slumps his head. "That's sad. I was starting to like you, oh well..." Merca's arms regenerate as he then rushes Master Mokoto with a fury of punches. Master Mokoto dodges and deflects them with ease. "You really got my hopes up there..." the teacher sighs. Master Mokoto punches Merca in the stomach.
Merca, writhing in pain, barks, "Damn, I shouldn't be holding back now, should I?" Merca's power skyrockets as he launches towards Master Mokoto.
The Return
...In the school hall...
Freddie deliberates, "Master Mokoto is dealing with this demon. What does it want?"
Hakuna answers, his voice tight. "It's looking for me..." Everyone turns to Hakuna. He's shaking, but it's not from fear. It's anger, a frustrated rage that he's being protected like a helpless child.
Nolitha, noticing the frustrated prince, voices, "If you know your Master can handle this guy, then there's no need to be frustrated..."
Wait... Who's this girl again? Oh, yeah, she's the same girl who froze Hakuna with her beauty.
Super mentions blankly, "So, you're the girl this fool never stopped talking about..."
Everyone is shocked, not at Hakuna, but at Super. Is Super this close with Hakuna?!
Enzo questions in shock, "Wait, what...?"
Freddie is dumbfounded. "Uhhhhh..."
Hakuna has a revelation. "He paid attention when I was rambling?! Oh no..."
Super snaps them back. "We'll deal with that later. Now, dolt, you're really willing to let the old guy risk his life for someone you can take?"
The ground shakes, Hakuna's energy raises higher than ever seen before. His eyes have a menacing glow, and his aura flares violently. Hakuna roars, "No way in hell am I gonna do that!!"
Hakuna vanishes.
...Back in the battle...
Master Mokoto and Merca are still exchanging blows, they are now equal. Mr. Van Rensburg, another teacher at Milner, comments, "Mokoto is almost out of steam. What will happen then...?"
Merca, noticing the same, speaks, "Old Man, you seem to be out of steam. Why don't you just take a rest...!" Merca attempts to throw a punch, but as he does, there's a loud bang near them.
Hakuna is here. He hit Merca with a punch so powerful that it destroyed some of the vegetation. Master Mokoto reprimands, "Hakuna, I said get to safety..."
Hakuna, with a flaring aura, his eyes glowing, and the pressure of his power too heavy to withstand, has reached a new level of power. He declares, "It's me he's after, so you can relax, Master Mokoto..."
He turns as Merca regenerates. He then declares loud enough for all to hear, "You... I am Prince Hakuna of the Letebele Clan, and when I'm done with you, you're going to wish we never crossed paths..."
Hakuna tenses his muscles, entering his fighting stance, his energy bursts.
