Ava barely tasted her breakfast. Her mind wasn't in the room anymore; she was trying her best not to think about Damian's intent gaze on her, but about the pressing issue, about the call from last night.

She needed to get out of this house; she needed to call the PI again to see if he could track where the number came from. It could be a strong lead for her in finding Lily, if it were truly Lily who called.
She needed answers before Damian locked down every corner of her life.
