"We have decided that the best course of action to take given the new update in information would be..." Warden starts his voice stern, slow but loud as always. He shoots us all a deathly stare as if to tell us pull the shit you did last time again and you'll be on the receiving end of my wrath. But I didn't care damn it, speak! "Relocation to Meridian immediately." he finishes and little by little I can feel tiny pieces and shards of pain piercing into my heart. Why I felt that way I didn't know but what I knew was that they were going to tear her apart here. "What if she doesn't comply?" Garth voices out my exact thought.
"Ow she will, because you see Telena will be accompanying you this time, isn't that right?" My father says glancing to his right toward Telena who had what I would assume is a malicious smirk playing on her face. They were playing me. Trying to get around my emotions. Fuck. The fact that they needed an arcanist to come with us even though Garth was already one said a lot about their intentions. And they were damned wrong if they thought they could do anything to her without my interjection.
"When will this be happening?" Garth asked again voicing out my thoughts. "Tomorrow first thing in the morning." Warden said in a tone of finality so effective that neither of us dared to ask anything else. They all silently left leaving the three of us to our thoughts.
"What do we do?" Ameira asks. My jaw clenches at the sound of her voice. I know I shouldn't be mad at her for what she chose to do yesterday but I am. If I wasn't a damn Kylte I wouldn't have gotten to Reika on time. 'She wasn't in danger though.' Garth penetrates my mind and says. I glance at him and he folds his hands and shoots me a look. Don't judge me, I've seen you behave worse for lesser. I shoot my thought at him. Him being an arcanist and me being a kylte gives us an advantage when it comes to telepathic communication.
Either way you need to get your shit together. She isn't the freaking love of your life, she's the assignment. And before you give me that look, yes she is the assignment so don't get all fussy with me. He sasses me up before casting me a final glance and turning towards Ameira, who takes the cue and portals us home.

Reach her, I have to find a way to get to Reika before Telena does. I didn't like not knowing things and its the fact that I didn't know the extent of Telena's arcanist abilities that drove me insane. She always had shields up in her mind so I couldn't even channel her powers. So much for being a kylte if it has this type of limitations to it. So as soon as Ameira completed the portal to my house I channeled her and opened another portal to Reika's and grabbed Garth's arm and yanked him through with me.
"Shit, what the hell is....." Garth starts but doesn't get the opportunity to finish as the vomit makes its way out of his mouth and splatters on the floor in glorious fashion. I crunch my face a bit and quickly close the portal and look around. "Wrong with you?" Garth finishes. "We have to tell Reika." I state quickly inspecting the premises my patience the size of a wasp's waist. "Can you listen to yourself right now. The Reid I know is never this impulsive and irrational! Take a freaking second and think lad. This could go extremely bad for you, for us, everyone in this town." He bellows and holds me back. My fists clench at my sides and I exhale a heavy breath I didn't know I was holding. Relax boy, relax. I pace my breathing and calm down for both our sakes and he lets me go reluctantly. He was right, I wasn't being rational. Now what was it about Reika that made me lose my head?
"Hey." A voice says behind us and we both startle and turn quickly to find a confused .....devastatingly beautiful Reika standing behind her kitchen island, totally calm as if we didn't just portal into her house. Did I mention she looks devastatingly beautiful? Fuck me! I close my eyes for a second to clear my thoughts. Like that does me any good, as a matter of fact it quadruples my sexual frustration to a fucking thousand and sweat trickles down my chest and back. Was her life being at risk seriously making me this horny right now.
I open them again only for them to instantly lock with hers. Big beautiful amber eyes staring into my soul. Apple, she was biting into an apple and it was making me fucking go insane, how could such a normal thing to do be this devastatingly arousing. Her full lips, her perfect bunny teeth, her curly 4b hair that was tied into a pony tail that made the curly ends look messy and perfect. The hell was happening to me right now?
