As both me and Diablo continued our hunt we encountered many different monsters. Snakes, frogs, spiders, even living mushrooms were encountered but one thing that they all had in common was having a poison or acid affinity.
Nearly all of the monsters I hunted were ambush hunters making it extremely difficult. Other than those which I managed to find by chance or were sleeping I never encountered them first, they always tried to attack and kill me before I noticed them.
As we hunted and killed more types of monsters I gained more and more skills as my body changed. My teeth became sharper and venomous, my blood felt like it could kill, and my stomach seemed like it could even digest metal, but I started to feel a faint pressure in my chest.
This pressure, even though it was in my chest, wasn't so much a physical pressure than it was a metaphysical pressure.
But after I killed more monsters, the pressure grew more and more intense until after I killed every type of monster except for the boss. This pressure grew exponentially and I found it hard to even breathe.

Seeing my new status, I was surprised by how much of the info that's shown has changed. There were 7 new stats, different skill categories, and ratings of affinities and traits but one thing that caught my eye was 'soul storage'.
