Chapter 132Lily's POV
I don't know what's wrong with me.
On the outside, I tried to keep my chin lifted, my hands steady, and my posture calm, like I always do. Like I've learned to do. But inside… inside my body is on fire. Every breath I take burns my throat, every heartbeat slams against my ribs like it's trying to escape.
I hadn't expected him to strip in front of me. Not like that. Not so casually. Not as if it was nothing. I guess I am technically his wife but we aren't together in that sense in real life.
But it wasn't nothing. Not for me.
The air in this suffocating room hardly moved. It clung thick and hot to his skin, making his sweat slide slow over his chest, down the ridges of his muscles. Every shift of his body flexed something new, his arms, his broad shoulders, the carved lines of his stomach. My eyes betrayed me, slipping lower, to the sharp cut of his hips disappearing into his trousers.
And then lower still. My eyes refused to stop moving.
