"Choose your class before your level up rewards, Velhana."
That was the last thing Professor Eclessia said before she went inside to get a cup of coffee.
Cyan Garden Academy has dedicated training grounds for almost all kinds of skills, and since Ice is more common than you'd think, they have quite a lot of places for the Ice focused binders.
The Ice ponds are simply ponds that gather Ice mana and create a zone that boosts all things ice related.
What was he supposed to do there? Kill a monster? There are monsters in the ponds, but that's probably not what she meant.
The monsters in the tier 2 ice pond are level 75 on an average.
Then again, he was supposed to go behind the pond, so he could just find something that's not a monster.
Besides, it's not like Professor Eclessia could just sneak a monster out of a Leaking Breach.
Soon enough, Cecil reached the Tier 1 ice pond, which was probably the size of a large lake, about 5 meter deep.
There are 5 of these, and each of them is a man made super dungeon, with 4 distinct dungeon areas and a wild zone.
The point of making a dungeon here is to 'trick' the Breaches in other worlds into opening here.
The adventurers succeed, and Cyan Garden gets nothing.
The adventurers fail, and Cyan Garden keeps them.
So. To make the dungeons easy for the students and hard for the adventurers, dungeon like training grounds have an observatory.
And an observator.
The observatory is basically the control center of the entire super dungeon. Every corner can be monitered and have drones sent to avoid or make students or adventurers dead.
The observator is mostly stronger than the apex monster of the entire super dungeon. These people are a nightmare to talk to when off shift.
Well, Cecil reached the tier 2 Ice pond.
There is a second tier 2 Ice pond, but it's under construction so that's out of the question.
There is a forest of sorts behind the pond. No practical purpose except... Looking cool? I don't know, it's just there. Probably just looks cool.
Cecil didn't want to go in a dark forest looking like a twink.
But Professor Eclessia was scarier.
Cecil retrieved his chunk of Rose Gold, and morphed it into a Sword. Not fancy, but a perfectly shaped shortsword with a spherical pommel and cross guard.
Cecil split it into two smaller shortswords and held one of them in one hand and let the other float beside him.
It was not like Cecil was randomly walking. There was a trail of foot steps, possibly very recent, about an hour or two old, that he was following. No idea if it was the supposed path or not, but Cecil walked along anyways.
After what felt like an eternity, Cecil finally reached an open clearing.
There was a large cage in front of him, and inside that cage was a creature, pacing hungrily, dripping saliva that hissed when it touched the metal floor
A Lion's head
An Eagle's Talons
An Elephant's Hind legs
The body of a Tiger
And a Serpentine Tail.
That thing paced impatiently.
Cecil slowly walked closer.
The Leonine head snapped.
The Serpentine Tail crackled like a whip.
And The Chimera Leapt.
"
Cecil was scared, but he's not going to show it to the thing. He stood calmly, holding the split Rose Gold shortswords.

"Unless the enclosure is entered."
That sounds like bullying.
Hitting the thing from a safe distance until it dies.
That's
Not actually bad.
—————
It's been a while.
Cecil fought a small comment war on blueit.
And both of his Rose Gold shortswords stabbed rapidly at the Chimera.
The war was over, but the battle was not.
The Chimera's Tail lashed wildly at one shortsword, while the Talons in its front kept the other at bay.
This was a stalemate, and Cecil was not going to jump into the enclosure.
If only there was some sort of offensive skill that he could use
Cecil felt like a buffoon.
[Skills-Deus Ex Machina(G), Dagger Release(F)]
He literally had two skills.
Cecil walked closer, the Chimera was still busy with the Shortswords.
Cecil recalled the shortswords, and they flew straight at his arms.
The Chimera Glared at Cecil, and Began charging again.
Cecil grabbed both the shortswords, and grinded them together, fusing them back into one.
He didn't need to grind them, but it looked cool to him.
The Chimera collided against the cage, the metallic Clang rattling Cecil's bones like the bars of the cage.
Cecil had an idea. Not the most practical, but good.
He swung his sword overhead, and 20 needles of Rose Gold fired off in an arc, before homing in on the Chimera.
On seeing the Golden rain approach, The Chimera immediately Leapt back, and then again. And again.
The needles flew for a while,
Abruptly turned,
And flew again.
The Needles tracked every move, but the creature noticed that the needles were lesser in number now.
Hunger clouds thinking, and the Chimera dodged the rain, thinking that it would stop if it Dodged long enough.
After some time, The Chimera stopped.
Not because it couldn't see the needles.
Because now he couldn't lay it's eyes off of them.
Surrounded by needles in a circle,
The Chimera knew its time had come.
"Damn. You just gave up?"
The Chimera laid down like a cat.
"Dude, atleast pretend to die with honor. Or something."
The Chimera flicked its tail idly.
"You want to live? I can let you live under one condition."
The Chimera stayed still.
"Yeah okay, its not intelligent enough to understand me.
All 20 needles swung like mini Daggers,
And 20 cresents of Mana flew out towards the Chimera,
Like a closing tide.
