Ethan chuckled awkwardly and stopped talking.
"So..." Vivian glanced at the paper bag's contents, "Is there something in here that will make me taller?? What is it, protein powder, calcium supplements??"
"Why would I ever give something like that?" Ethan looked at her, slightly annoyed. "Just open it yourself and you'll see."
"Oh..."
Vivian blinked, reached in, took out the box, and placed it on the table.
She opened the box—inside laid a pair of silver-gray high heels, peacefully.
The style was simple, with no extravagant decorations or complex lines. The surface was covered in fine glitter, reflecting dazzling light like a galaxy under the sun.
"Whoa?? High heels??" Vivian took them out, looking at Ethan in confusion. "How did you know what size I wear??"
"Doesn't your shoe rack have your shoes on it?" Ethan answered helplessly. "I just picked one up to check; the size is written on the sole, isn't it?"
"Oh, you're right." Vivian nodded, suddenly realizing.
