"I finished scheduling all the meetings for this week, and I am currently going through the other files brought in earlier," Harper said to Richard.
"You're hardworking, Mrs Fletcher."
"Harper," She corrected.
Richard briefly looked at me, just at the same time Harper did, with an annoyed look on her face.
"Is it the norm for someone who isn't a part of the job to be here?" She asked out loud. "I mean, it's a little bit strange that a third party is here. It should be against the company's policy, but maybe I am thinking too much about it."
I scoffed. Richard cleared his throat loudly, changing the subject swiftly. "I can assure you, Mr. Fletcher's appearance here is important. Just focus on your job and pay him no heed. He means no harm."
Harper harrumphed but said nothing. She continued with her work and ignored me.
