Jeffery's body trembled briefly, but he still raised his head to gaze into Cain's eyes. Cain could see a myriad of emotions, ranging from pain, to sadness, to frustration, to anger, but his eyes didn't show an inkling of weakness or backing down. Infact, they shone even brighter than before. There was a new sparkle in his gaze, one that could tell a story or two from what he had just gone through...
