Chibuzor chuckled, though the sound came out thinner than he intended, like something else sat behind it, unspoken.
"Yeah," he said quietly. "Very uncomfortable."
She gave him a quick puzzled look, like she noticed something off, but she let it slide.
"Alright then, Mr. Sleeping Beauty," she teased as she adjusted her camera. "Let's make this fake marriage look picture perfect."
He nodded and leaned back, closing his eyes. He arranged himself like he was actually relaxed, even though his mind was the opposite. When he exaggerated a peaceful, angelic pose, Olaedo burst into laughter.
"Wow," she snickered while snapping the picture. "If I didn't know you in real life, I would swear you were actually enjoying this marriage."
"Who says I'm not?" he said calmly, eyes still closed, his voice soft but teasing.
For a split second, her smile faltered.
Just enough to show she heard something in his tone.
Something she wasn't ready to unpack.
