"So, after you found their hideout, did you capture them?" Morpheus asked curiously.
Paracelsus shook his head. "No, I thought you should decide whether to move against them, Boss."
"Where are they now?" Morpheus inquired.
Paracelsus replied, "In a club in Tokyo."
"A club? What kind?"
"A shooting range club."
"Oh, Tokyo has a place like that? Interesting. Let's go check it out."
Just as Morpheus was about to move, Medea pushed open the office door. "Boss, headquarters sent word. The special team has arrived in Tokyo, and they want us to meet them."
"Oh? Where's the team?"
"At a club," Medea said.
"A club?" Morpheus paused, then added, "Don't tell me it's a shooting range club."
Medea's eyes flickered with surprise, and she smiled. "Looks like you already know, Boss."
Morpheus connected the dots. "So, the ones who infiltrated our branch last night were this special team."
"Last night? Infiltration?" Medea looked puzzled.
Morpheus briefly recounted what Paracelsus had told him.
Medea, no fool, quickly caught on and grinned. "Seems like you're already under suspicion, Boss."
Wesker had promised to send the special team today, yet they arrived yesterday and even infiltrated the branch.
Clearly, they didn't trust the Tokyo branch and had sent the team early to investigate discreetly.
Morpheus turned to Paracelsus. "Did they find anything substantial last night?"
Paracelsus shook his head. "No."
Morpheus smirked. "Then let's go welcome our special team."
The group left the Umbrella Tokyo branch and arrived at a shooting range club in the suburbs.
The club was large, with a spacious shooting range.
But it was closed today.
When Morpheus, Medea, and Paracelsus arrived, a "Closed" sign hung on the gate.
Morpheus had transformed himself to look like the Tokyo branch director.
Medea remained his secretary, unchanged.
Paracelsus was the same.
The club's staff saw Morpheus's disguised face through the cameras and opened the gate.
Morpheus strode in confidently.
Inside the shooting range, a group of uniquely dressed soldiers gathered.
They wore gas masks, radios on their left shoulders, and black uniforms.
The look was all too familiar.
Blackwatch.
When the Blacklight virus surfaced, Morpheus had found it odd that Umbrella was involved with it—a clear crossover.
Now, even their Blackwatch team was here.
Morpheus had every reason to suspect Prototype had been stitched into this world.
He hadn't expected Umbrella to be so formidable, controlling even Blackwatch. Truly a global powerhouse.
If he recalled correctly, Blackwatch in Prototype was the world's most elite unit, with rigorous training, high mortality rates, and top-tier equipment, answering to the Department of Defense and its Advanced Research Projects Agency.
Yet here, Wesker had authority over them.
Talk about Umbrella's influence in this world.
What surprised Morpheus even more was the team's commander—a woman with shoulder-length hair, a red dress, and black stockings.
"Hello, I'm Ada Wong, temporary commander of this special team."
Ada Wong smiled and extended her right hand as Morpheus approached.
"Hey there, Aunt Wong."
Morpheus grinned, shaking her hand. Her face darkened instantly.
No woman, especially someone like Ada Wong, appreciated comments about her age.
Calling her "Aunt" was bold, and her restraint from punching him was already polite.
Ada forced a smile. "Calling me Aunt is a bit rude, don't you think? Besides, you're older than me, President Allen."
Allen was the name of Umbrella's Tokyo branch president—the identity Morpheus was impersonating.
Morpheus chuckled, dropping his disguise to reveal his true face. "Do I look like I qualify to call you Aunt Wong now?"
Ada's expression shifted dramatically. She tried to pull her hand back, but Morpheus's grip was like iron, unyielding.
"Who the hell are you?"
"A good guy."
"Huh?" Ada looked baffled.
Morpheus continued, "A good guy trying to stop Umbrella from destroying humanity. Doesn't that count?"
"What nonsense are you spouting?" As she spoke, Ada swiftly aimed a kick at Morpheus's groin.
It was a man's most vulnerable spot—any guy would let go after a hit like that.
Ada was confident.
But her confidence vanished the next second.
Before her kick landed, she froze, as if caught in a spell, standing motionless like a statue, her leg suspended mid-air.
She was like a puppet unable to move.
Morpheus eyed her up and down. "Looks like you don't know much about Umbrella's dirty deeds. I'm curious, Aunt Wong—what's your real identity?"
"Are you with Umbrella? Wesker's lackey? A spy infiltrating Umbrella? Or maybe a foreign agent?"
In Resident Evil, Ada Wong's true allegiance was a mystery.
Who knew whose side she was really on?
Ignoring his rambling, Ada glared at him. "Who are you?"
"I told you—a good guy. One who's stopping Umbrella from wiping out humanity."
Ada rolled her eyes. Though her body was frozen, her eyes and mouth still worked.
