Ester was confused by the small power boost that seemed to come out of nowhere, but he got up anyway, even though he was tired after fighting the goblin. His father smiled, happy to see his son finally win.
As they both left the forest, their mother was preparing food. When she saw them, she said, "Boys, come here and eat."
They both smiled, exchanged looks, and then looked at Maria.
They both answered at the same time, "Coming!"
As Ester and Luke walked toward Maria, a small cat ran up to Ester. It looked at him and let out a cheerful "Meow!" Ester smiled, picked it up, and looked at it.
"What are you doing here?" he asked.
Then the cat bit Ester, leaving a mark that made him wince in pain. Ester looked at the bite as if it had become part of him. With a confused look, Ester turned to his father and asked, "What is this?"
Luke chuckled and said, "It's a contract, Ester. That cat just made one with you." He then looked at his wife. "Isn't it interesting, honey?"
Ester stared at the cat and asked his father, "So what do I do now with the cat?"
Luke replied, "You might as well keep it, right, honey?"
Maria said, "Yeah."
They brought the cat into the house, and both Maria and Luke looked at Ester and said, "Why don't you name it?"
Ester smiled and replied, "Okay, then. I'll name it Shiro. What do you think, Mom and Dad?"
They both replied, "That's perfect."
Ester put Shiro down and went to eat the food his mom had made. About an hour passed, and Ester was lying on the floor and holding the cat in the air.
Then, just out of nowhere, a voice, sounding like a woman, came into his head and said, "So, your name is Ester. Huh, interesting, but what made me give this contract?"
Ester gave a strange look toward Shiro and screamed, "WHAT, you can talk?"
Shiro then hit Ester with her paws and said, "It's not really talking, but telepathy. So quiet down before your parents hear."
As Ester had quieted down and looked at Shiro and said, "Why did you even make a contract with an average person like me?"
"Honestly, I don't even know myself. That's why I'm even talking to you right now" Shiro said.
And Just like that's Ester just smiled and laughed
