Chapter 327 - Chapter 323 Robert interrupted Lynd impatiently

Upon seeing Lynd walk in, Robert's face broke into a smile, but then he asked angrily, "Bear Hunter, why did you refuse the Master of Ships' invitation?"

Lynd stepped forward and explained, "Your Majesty, I think Stannis is very competent in the position of Master of Ships, and there's no need to replace him, and I am also very busy…"

Robert interrupted Lynd impatiently, "Busy? Is your busy going on vacation to that place called Sarth?"

Lynd smiled and did not answer.

"I envy you, being able to travel everywhere. I even get criticized for going hunting in the Kingswood." Robert looked at Lynd with envy, then glared at Eddard.

Eddard said in a deep voice, "Your Majesty, after Jon passed away, there are too many things piled up, and many more waiting for you to handle. Now is not a good time to go hunting and playing."

Robert said unhappily, "I know, I know! I didn't call you here to lecture me, but to help me. With that, he gestured to the others, "Sit down everyone! Since Prince Linde is here, let's discuss this matter together."

Everyone took their seats, leaving only the Master of Ships' position empty. Lynd looked at it, then turned and sat down on a chair next to Barristan.

Seeing Lynd do this, Robert frowned but said nothing. Then he pulled out a scroll and placed it on the table, saying, "You all have a look!"

Except for Varys, everyone read the contents of the scroll, their expressions varying. The last person to finish reading the scroll was Littlefinger Petyr Baelish, who stood up and handed the scroll to Lynd.

Lynd took it and read the contents, finding it to be details of Jon Clinton's meeting with Drogo outside Qarth, and it also mentioned that Drogo had agreed to marry into the Targaryen, and would soon marry Daenerys Targaryen. At that time, it was highly likely that Drogo would lead his Dothraki army to Westeros to help the Targaryen seize the Iron Throne.

After reading the intelligence, Lynd showed no unusual reaction, casually placing it by his side.

"Tell me your thoughts!" Robert scanned everyone, his gaze lingering on Lynd for a moment, then asked in a deep voice.

Renly, looking unconcerned, was the first to speak, "I don't think there's any need to worry about this. It's well known that the sea is poison water to the Dothraki; it's impossible for them to cross the sea to Westeros."

"I share Lord Renly's view," Eddard also nodded, saying, "Although the Dothraki are powerful, they have always been confined to the grasslands. For so many years, no Dothraki has ever come to Westeros, so we don't need to worry about them invading Westeros."

Varys also tried his best to express his opinion, saying, "I think what we should be most concerned about now are the countries and city-states around the Dothraki Sea, because if the remnants of the Targaryen want to attack the Seven Kingdoms, they will definitely need a logistical base, and this base can only be a coastal city-state, so those foreigners from the Eastern Continent are probably more nervous than us."

"Even if the Dothraki want to invade the Seven Kingdoms, they would need enough ships, and right now, the only one who can provide enough ships…" Littlefinger said, looking at Lynd, then continued, "The only power capable of providing enough ships to transport a hundred thousand troops is Braavos, and we owe the Iron Bank of Braavos millions of gold dragons. If they support the dragon remnants in invading the Seven Kingdoms, that debt would not be recovered at all. I don't think the Sealord of Braavos would be so unwise."

"Do you all think those bastards and barbarians can't invade?" Robert looked at everyone with cold eyes, then turned to Lynd and asked, "Bear Hunter, what are your thoughts? I want to hear your thoughts."

"If the Dothraki want to invade the Seven Kingdoms, the best way is to embark at Pentos, land directly in the Crownlands, and then attack King's Landing." Lynd said calmly, "If the Sealord of Braavos really lost his mind and agreed to provide them with ships, it would be very difficult for them to reach Pentos from the Dothraki Sea. To the east, my wife Nameria's Lorath would block them, and to the south, the Disputed Lands that I control could intercept them. They would have no way to reach Pentos. If they don't embark at Pentos but choose to embark at Slavers Bay, they would need to undergo a long sea voyage. The Dothraki are not accustomed to sea life at all. I cannot calculate how many people would die along the way, but what is certain is that when they land, they will have no fighting power whatsoever, and we can easily eliminate them by waiting for them to exhaust themselves."

Eddard nodded repeatedly, saying, "Prince Linde is right. After a long voyage, let alone the Dothraki themselves, even their horses probably wouldn't be able to endure it. At that time, we can simply ambush them at their landing spot."
