Powerful waves clashed violently around me as watery hands pulled me underneath. I tried to swim upwards but it was nearly useless.
My arms and legs kicked out uselessly but my body stubbornly remained in the same spot. It was like some kind of swimming treadmill except I'd drown if I couldn't get my head above the water.
We were trapped in the Harbinger's element and there was no way to escape it.
My head finally managed to break to the surface long enough for me to gulp in some air and I spotted Bloodfang a few feet away, his body getting tousled roughly by the waves.
The Harbinger was not trying to kill us.
It was having too much fun putting our heads underwater and back up, over and over again. Like some sort of twisted game.
"Zephan!" Bloodfang yelled over clashing waves, "I'm sorry I'm going to have to electrocute you a little."
I must have heard him wrong.
"What?" I yelled back.
