Chapter 105: Bulma's Arrival
"The nerve of that two-timing jerk! He already has our royal sister, and yet he still has feelings for someone else! Unforgivable! I'm telling Dad right now—he can just crush him flat!"
The furious Nana was quickly held down by Momo. "Don't be so hasty. Without solid proof, Dad won't believe us just on our word alone.
Besides, Dad wouldn't stoop to bullying the weak or doing anything that might damage the reputation of the Devilukeans—unless things got really serious.
And let's be honest, someone like Franklin—handsome, talented, and not backed by any complicated power or faction—is incredibly rare.
Most importantly, the affection between him and our royal sister is at 99 on both sides. I've only ever seen that kind of mutual affection between Mom and Dad.
Sure, his feelings for that Bulma girl—and hers for him—are just as strong, but that still isn't proof. We need something more concrete. And I already have a plan."
Seeing the devilish grin spread across Momo's face, Nana shuddered slightly and glanced at Franklin on the screen with a look of pity.
"All right, we'll do it your way. Our royal sister is the universe's number one—number one in kindness, number one in beauty, but also number one at being gullible.
Any man who wants to be with her has to pass our test. Franklin has to prove he's the universe's number one at treating her right!"
Unnoticed by anyone, the two girls quietly slipped out of Bulma's estate.
Meanwhile, Franklin had already brought Krillin, Momo, Son Goku, and Son Gohan back to the Deviluke main ship.
"After reuniting, we have to part again. Thanks for your help this time."
Goku hugged Franklin tightly. "Not at all. You've always helped me way more than I've helped you."
Franklin smiled faintly. "Now that I think about it, we've known each other for quite a while, but I've never actually checked your power level. How strong are you now?"
Goku stopped Franklin from probing. "My physical body and spiritual energy are both around five thousand tiers. My combat strength should be quite a bit higher than yours, Franklin.
Bulma's gravity-training devices really help push past the body's limits, but keeping the spiritual energy in sync is another story.
Sure, training in Kami's Hyperbolic Time Chamber lets me build up energy over time, but I feel like that path doesn't really suit me anymore.
For the past few years, I haven't trained seriously. I've just been chasing a certain feeling. Once I find it, I know my power will skyrocket in a short time—maybe even surpass you completely."
Hearing Goku's words, Franklin thought of two possibilities: either Goku was on the verge of evolving into a Super Saiyan, or he'd truly hit a bottleneck.
Remembering how in the original Dragon Ball timeline Goku's power had multiplied thousands of times in less than a year after defeating Vegeta, Franklin wiped away an imaginary bead of sweat.
"Yeah, from what I know, you're on the right track. Keep it up. When that day comes, I'll be counting on you for protection."
Encouraged by Franklin's words, Goku's eyes lit up. He bowed deeply.
"Thank you, Franklin. With your encouragement, I feel that day isn't far off. When it comes, I'll take full responsibility for keeping you safe."
A flash of white light enveloped Goku and Gohan, and their figures vanished—they'd been teleported back to Mount Frypan.
Watching Krillin and Momo step onto the teleportation array, Franklin's expression turned serious. "If you're meant to be together, then stay together. But if you're not, don't force it."
Krillin nodded firmly. "Don't worry, Franklin. I'll take good care of Momo."
Just as Franklin was about to signal Zastin to send them off, he suddenly remembered something important.
"Krillin, maybe don't go back to Kame House. Find a place in the city instead—you've got enough money, right?"
Krillin's eyes widened as he recalled Master Roshi's reputation. He nodded solemnly.
"You're right, Franklin. Just send us to West City—it's the headquarters of Capsule Corporation and a great place to settle down."
Zastin looked at Momo kindly. "If anything happens, come back right away. Don't feel pressured."
Another flash of white light, and the two small figures disappeared into the teleportation array. Only Zastin, Franklin, and Lala remained.
"My lord son-in-law," Zastin asked, "will you and Lady Lala be returning now, or…?"
After a brief thought, Franklin turned to him. "Send me to that Sparkling Alien's location. It's time I finished things with him."
Zastin's expression grew odd. As he tapped something on his arm, a light screen appeared before Franklin.
"The Sparkling Alien was hit by your friend Son Goku's strongest attack. He's barely alive and currently undergoing emergency treatment."
Seeing the report—and the alien's pitiful condition—Franklin's expression turned just as strange.
"Poor guy. Once he's stable, just send him away. I get the feeling hanging around him might rub off his bad luck on me."
Zastin nodded in agreement.
"Indeed. The moment he first saw you, his battle armor malfunctioned—that's how he missed you. Then he blocked one of your friend's thunder attacks meant for you. Honestly, I think you just counter him."
Franklin waved a hand dismissively. "Whatever. Just send Lala and me home—it's late already. Oh, and let me know ahead of time if you ever plan to drop by."
Zastin shook his head. "No need. I offended you enough before. From now on, Lady Lala's safety on Blue Star will be entirely in your hands. Outside of Earth, I'll handle things."
With that, they said their goodbyes. A flash of white light, and Franklin and Lala vanished.
Just as they reappeared at the doorstep of their home, a long motorcade pulled up. The car door opened, and Bulma stepped out—followed by Mikan and Ryōko Mikado.
"I had some time, so I went to handle the school enrollment procedures—and picked them up from school along the way."
Seeing Mikan's dazed expression, Franklin sighed helplessly.
"Try not to draw so much attention next time. There are still kidnappers around in the Neon Province. Mikan's still just a kid—I don't want her dragged into any of that scheming nonsense."
Ryōko Mikado nodded in agreement. "You're right. It was a bit over the top—the principal himself came out to welcome us and handled the paperwork personally."
Franklin rubbed his forehead. Looked like tomorrow at school was going to be way too lively.
Meanwhile, two pink-haired figures had already slipped into Franklin's house. In Lala's room, they opened up a massive subspace, and at a strange-looking computer, their fingers danced across the keyboard.
Lines of data flickered across the projection screen, and with every keystroke, reality itself began to shift—unpredictably and profoundly.
