Chapter 204 - Chapter 204 Direct and perform a double act

The Graeae Sisters immediately became furious upon hearing Perseus's impolite words.

They spoke one after another, accusing Perseus:

"Demigod, don't think that just because you are Zeus's son, we won't dare to do anything to you!"

"We are also children of gods; our father is Phorcys, the rage of the ocean, and our mother is Ceto, the danger of the ocean. In terms of bloodline and status, you are no nobler than us!"

"Even if Athena herself came here, she wouldn't be as rude as you!"

"Stop spouting nonsense!"

Perseus loudly interrupted the Graeae, twirling the great scythe in his hand, and said in a deep voice, "Dare to disrespect a Goddess? Today, on behalf of Athena, I will let you taste Athena's divine might!"

After speaking, without waiting for the Graeae Sisters to continue, Perseus directly gripped his weapon and, using the speed of his winged sandals, rushed towards the three Graeae. He seemed to have no intention of negotiating; disrespecting Athena was a Death sentence for him.

Seeing Perseus, the demigod, acting so unreasonably, the Graeae Sisters, who had initially held a favorable impression of him due to his appearance, became completely enraged. They let out non-human shrieks, and as Perseus's figure charged forward, the three sisters' bodies suddenly dispersed like smoke. The Slaughter of the Undead Blade in Perseus's hand cut through the air, but only severed a wisp of smoke.

The three witches each flew into the air, reappearing in different positions. Then, from their toothless, cavernous mouths, they let out piercing screams, and clouds of mist, like black clouds, flew out from beneath their skirts, transforming into roaring ghosts that clawed towards Perseus, intending to tear the arrogant and ignorant demigod to shreds.

This magic was one of the Graeae Sisters' powerful trump cards. It incorporated fragments of Hades's authority, the King of the Underworld. Those specters appeared to be frail ghosts, but in reality, they were water demons imbued with Death's power. Such water demons only existed in the River Acheron of the Underworld. Even the souls of deceased gods could be dragged into the water by them, and their divine power and divinity absorbed.

Aside from the gods of the Underworld, these water demons feared nothing.

However, they didn't expect that Ares, who was controlling Perseus, had also learned this magic. Moon Goddess Hecate knew almost all magic in the Greek World, and to be safe, Ares basically learned every magic when studying with Hecate. For the magic used by the Graeae, he not only learned it but also figured out how to break it. Therefore, upon seeing the Graeae Sisters summon water demons from the Underworld, he immediately controlled Perseus, mobilized his magic, and connected to another fragment of Hades's authority.

Suddenly, a black wind enveloped Perseus's entire body, shredding all the water demons that had approached him. The ghosts that had not yet gotten close also let out terrified screams because of this black wind. Perseus seized this momentary opening. Before the Graeae Sisters could cast their next move, he aimed directly at the eldest of the three sisters, Pemphredo, and then lunged forward, arriving before the Graeae sister.

Perseus swung the Slaughter of the Undead Blade, its scythe blade directly forcing aside Pemphredo's arms, who was not skilled in close combat. Then, with a swift grab, he directly pulled her eye and teeth from her face, clutching them in his hand.

After successfully striking, Perseus quickly retreated. The Graeae Sisters let out frantic screams, and thick magic surged between their hands, intending to kill the audacious demigod. However, at that moment, Perseus had already raised their shared eye and teeth and said, "If you don't want me to destroy them, then obediently follow my commands."

The three Graeae reluctantly stopped. Pemphredo, the eldest, said in a helpless voice, "Zeus's son, we didn't have to come to this point. If only you could speak to us properly, how could we not help you out of respect for Olympus?"

"Hmph, I am a warrior representing the Goddess's will. It would be one thing if I were facing other deities, but if I need to treat even you monsters with courtesy, then where is the majesty of Olympus? Where is the glory of my Goddess Athena?"

Perseus revealed a smile like a racist:

"You think you are worthy of being on equal footing with my Goddess Athena?"

"You hateful Zeus's son!" Hearing his sarcastic words, the two younger Graeae Sisters let out roars that were almost beyond reason: "Sister, let's fight him, even if it means losing our eyes and teeth!"

"Enough, be quiet!"

The eldest of the Graeae Sisters stopped her two younger sisters with an even more distorted voice, then suppressed her anger and asked Perseus, "What do you want, demigod?"

"I want to know the way to the Invisible Island," Perseus said, holding the Graeae's eye and teeth.

"Invisible Island? The island where our sisters, the Gorgon Sisters, live?" The eldest sister, Pemphredo, said in a deep voice, "That place is protected by Ares's divine might. If you want to go there, you must challenge Ares's authority. Do you dare?"

"What's there to be afraid of?"

Perseus sneered disdainfully:

"Ares is merely a defeated general under my Goddess Athena."

"Heh heh, well, if you really have the courage, then by all means, go."

Pemphredo let out a terrifying cackle, then pointed out a route to Perseus that he already knew.

After learning the route, Perseus, holding the Graeae Sisters' eye and teeth, carefully withdrew from the gray tower's barrier. The three Graeae followed him out. Once Perseus left the barrier they had set up, the second sister, Enyo, said viciously:

"Demigod, we've told you the route, now give us back our teeth and eyes!"

"Hmm, but I don't recall saying I'd return the teeth and eyes to you," Perseus said, rather shamelessly, as he clutched the eye and teeth.

"You want to go back on your word?!" The third sister, Graeae Sister Deino, let out a dreadful shriek: "If you dare to do that, I promise we will tear your soul to shreds!"

"Heh, if you're brave enough, you can try." Perseus chuckled, "But I advise you to think carefully. I'm currently holding the vital points of all three of you. If my hand squeezes gently now, you'll be blind forever and never be able to chew any food again."

He paused, then continued:

"However, my Goddess Athena is a benevolent Goddess. If you are willing to swear allegiance to her by the River of Hatred, then it's not impossible for me to consider returning what's in my hand to you…"

"Don't push your luck!" Black sparks flew from Pemphredo's mouth in anger.

"So what if I push my luck? My magic teacher is Moon Goddess Hecate. Do you really think your meager magical techniques can compare to mine?"

Perseus spoke with a triumphant smile, raising the Graeae Sisters' eye and teeth. But just then, a hand grabbed his arm from behind.

"Oh, so you're my junior brother? Why didn't I hear the teacher mention this?" Ares's voice rang out from behind Perseus, making his face turn pale: "Then I'll have to get to know you better, won't I, junior brother?"
